Her record label screwed her over because they forced her to sing more sext and so she became nasally. Her earlier performances in her Sweet Kisses years are phenomenal.

The hate she gets over her singing technique is exaggerated and blown out of proportion. It’s not the healthiest because she does sing through the nose for a percentage of the sound and sometimes it’s really noticeable but she’s had many good moments... people like taking something mild and blowing it out of proportion because... sigh... well, it’s fun... it’s disgusting but that’s what people do... hating is just something that makes people feel good. Her technique became so weird during the "In The Skin" era. Like very nasal, and like she was singing with the closed throat and a high tongue. I like the album but it's also uncomfortable to listen to sometimes. Good for her that she recovered soon. I'm happy to see in 2022 she's singing like herself again. Can't wait to see what she does. I hope she performs at a big event soon.

She's so overly theatrical I can't take her seriously...the talent was there but the technique needed lots of work. She squeezes and compresses her voice unnecessarily. It's a shame because her natural voice is nice and she has a good tone.

This is what happens when you can't put your personal life aside from your job, Mottola made us loose Jessica, gave us fake Jennifer López and tried to sabotage Mariah's career out of spite, he did mean to cut Mariah out as well and that would've been terrible, imagine, no Jessica, no Mariah and Jlo reigning.
