Nice video, I use the same method myself. Kitchen circuits I would say are the easiest to test as most if not all outlets are accessible, the trouble is when you can’t access all the outlets due to wardrobes built in front or JBs under floors.
This is why we were taught to twist ends, many, many years ago. Greatly reduces the chance of the screw only securing one core but it's gone out of favour now. New fittings seem to be designed for side by side but a lot of the cheap stuff people buy themselves isn't.
This makes me laugh, all TH-camr electricians using torque screwdrivers. In my day tight was tight problem now manufactures using cheap crap steel screws in consumer units that round off, would be better to use torx or Allen hex screws instead. Most bad connection issues are not in the consumer unit but in socket and switches, yet there no torque settings for those to my knowledge.
@@bristolsparky hey…it’s not a criticism…..show me a sparks that doesn’t use common sense instead of over the top regulations, mostly made by folks who have never been on site. Keep doing what you are doing….especially showing the battery changes….we have had that happen many times too.
Why install a 12 useable way board in a 2 bed flat?? makes no sense even if they got it rewired and had a separate ring and lighting circuit for each room there would still be multiple spare ways
The purpose of this video is also to help peopel to know you also teach record of your work for new costumers to see you in real life action Also marketing Google algorithm and so on Also educational Helping any one who wants to learn We all learning all the time I like you You got cool character and you are happy Doing things more relax is best way forwards and also help not to make too many mistake or miss out on faults Brilliant Look forward for more 💯
Quality video mate. watching these videos and explaining things logically makes fault finding a lot more simpler. Thanks
No problem 👍

@@MkElect2011glad you said that, thought it was just me. Trying to torque some screws they seem to round out very quickly.
There are BS torque requirements for sockets
I’ve never twisted and I’ve never had a problem but I understand what you’re saying & to a degree I can see what you mean
Excellent video on fault finding---
Glad you liked it!
many thanks good video
Glad you enjoyed it
awesome video !
Thanks for the visit
It's basic fault finding like this that doesn't get taught to the kids at school
Absolutely agree, from what I remember at college I was hardly taught anything like this
nice bit of safe isolation…
You can clearly see the video is edited, just showing the fault finding process

Thermal derating
My girlfriend said her ring was broken and can I have a look at it.
I’d have a word with David Savery……he likes breaking rings 😂😂😂
Was it broken?
@@bristolsparky I think the guy was using innuendos….same as I……just joking around
@@bristolsparky yeah plus she won't tell me how it got broken.
@@Charlie-hz3tk I knew that mate, was carrying on the joke👍🏻
This is little use unless you know what's being done to start with. IMO.
This technique? I didn’t carry out the work & the test results tell me which way it’s wired. It’s a solid technique
Nice 👍
Thanks ✌
