Patio Grout loaded Drain clean up

In this One we were called to a blocked drain. When investigating we found bits of patio slab and loads of sweep in patio grout. we asked the customer how long they since the patio had been done and it was very recent.
It would seem there may have been some carelessness when installing the new chamber cover and also when grouting the patio and a large amount of grout and some rubble from the removal of the old patio had made its way into the drain system.
We cleaned and cleared all of the drains and kept all that we had removed for the customer to hold on to and show the builder.
Although this was a short one, it highlights how much care is needed when doing this kind of work to avoid blocking the drains.

Suprising how many people think stuff like plaster and grout can be washed down the drain.
I once had an argument with a plasterer who was pouring his washings down the drain. Needless to say, it resulted in a blockage, but luckily, the on-site cctv recorded him, so he was liable for the cost of jetting it out.

🤠🤠 i wear my hat every summer. i love my hat had it years. its a Barmah Kangaroo leather hat, i wouldnt be without it. i have 2 pans in the van i just forget they are there.
