    I was intrigued by the pic for the video, not realizing the fold would be so difficult! That took patience, I'd be too frustrated. LOOOOVE how it turned out.

    I love that it’s a “heart rhythm”. That’s what I do in my career. I read heart rhythms in a hospital. This rhythm you made is a death rhythm... vfib, but it’s cool. I might make myself one!

      I almost always flip shirts inside-out before tying them. Since I didn't, I ended up reversing S/Q and flipping the remainder because of the flipped shirt/not flipped shirt thing. So, I ended up with T, a spike instead of a baseline, S, R, Q, P. My wife just shook her head and said, "You know that's wrong, right?" And, I said, "I'm not redoing the video. Almost no one actually watches my videos anyway..." 18 months later and 50,000+ subscribers... Yep. Someone called me out.
      How about a free shirt for being the first to call it out? Contact me on FB and let me know what type of shirt you'd like: facebook.com/casualcollisions/

    Iam wondering how much you invest on the dye for one tshirt. It seems to be a lot of dye
    Great stuff again, thanks for your videos

      The popular belief is that I use a significant amount of dye per shirt; but, the spoon I use in the videos is an old baby food spoon that holds about 1/4 teaspoon.
      I don't keep track of the dye usage for each individual shirt; but, the total cost across all the shirts I make in a year is about $2.75/shirt for the t-shirt and dye - so about 50 cents or less for the dye per shirt.

    I'm having alot of trouble (especially on the turns) keeping the fold in a straight line. Do I need to make the pleats bigger, smaller or just keep practicing? You make it look so easy!!!! Thank you for all your videos btw!!!!!

      Honestly, this design is a giant pain in the butt when making the 90-degree turns. If you can space it out so that a fold lands on the tip of each turn, it's easier. Practice is really the key and there have been times that if I can't make it work within a few attempts, I'll set it off to the side and come back to it because it's easy for your hands to cramp up with this one.

    i so much admire your work.. And love your design.... But this one in particular... I tried it and I just had to stop cause it was very difficult (mostly when folding the curve).. And I also wanted to ask what product of dye do u use.. (The power dye)

      Sharp turns with an accordion fold are difficult and take a bit of practice. It may help to practice with handkerchiefs since the material is much thinner until you feel comfortable with the extra thickness of the shirts.

    If my washing machine is having problem right now and doesn't rinse can I put in the dryer for about 4/5 minutes to get the excess water out?

    • @CasualCollisions
      @CasualCollisions  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      There's a very good chance that's listed as a way to violate your warranty on your dryer.

    why need to soak in soda ash??thanks im just curious

    • @CasualCollisions
      @CasualCollisions  5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Soda ash is required when using fiber reactive dyes such as Procion dye. Without the soda ash soak, the dye will wash out over the next few wash cycles instead of permanently bonding to the fabric.

    • @ttujackie
      @ttujackie 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Soda ash also impacts how much color is absorbed- less soda ash, less vibrance. I discovered that between my last batches.

    • @CasualCollisions
      @CasualCollisions  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      You're the second person in 3.5 years to catch the error. It's pretty close to v-fib.

    Do you rince with hot or cold ?

    • @CasualCollisions
      @CasualCollisions  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Cold water rinse until I'm sure the soda ash and residual dye on the top has cleared, then hot water rinse. I was in a regular cycle with warm water and an extra rinse.
