Hello my Friends! ALL MY LOVE to you as always 💜 Come and rest for a while with me 🌟 Story begins at 02:04 Firstly, thank you for listening to this sponsorship, I hope you find it useful. I reject most sponsor offers as I feel they don't fit for various reasons, I don't like to saturate the channel either so thank you for your patience and understanding when they do come along! Here is a long awaited video for some, The Velveteen Rabbit 🌟 This is a story I read for the Calm app some years ago and it has been requested very often since that I read it for this channel too! I hope it brings you peace and calm. Sweet dreams to you all 🕊 Emma
Dear Emma, your reading of this story was exquisite and so loving. While listening my eyes were brimming with tears because the story is so poignant but also your reading of it was the most beautiful thing. Love from Jennifer 🐇
Such a relaxing and lovely video Mrs. Emma. Have you heard of the book, "The Miraculous Journey of Edward Tulane"? I think you would very much enjoy it.
I’ve always really loved this story. My grandparents took me to see a play of it when I was younger. When my grandfather passed, I sent my grandmother a copy of the book. A couple years later we went to visit his favourite place in the world, a small island, and there were TONS of rabbits there. I won’t make any claims but it felt very spiritual and fitting
I used to listen to a recording of this when I was young as I would lie down in the dark before I fell asleep. It always made me cry. Now I listen to ASMR to get ready to sleep. I haven't head this story in ages and I've been bawling for like 20 minutes from now until the end. It's a sad story that ends in rebirth. I love this story. Definitely one of my favorites
I think if I had heard that story as a child, I would have balled my eyes out clinging onto my bunny plushie. And even though I'm 17 now and did not cry.... I still cling onto my bunny plush 😂
I'm not gonna lie.... I cried HARD at the end of the story. It's been years since I've read The Velveteen Rabbit. My grandmother used to read this to me when I was little. She had a soft, sweet voice and this took me back to those years when I felt safe and all was right with my world! Thank you Miss Emma. You are a blessing in my life!💕
My grandmother on my fathers side would take me on nature walks and to feed the birds, or have tea parties every time I came to visit. And every single night she would let me lay in her California king sized bed, and read me the velveteen rabbit while brushing my hair behind my ears. She passed away of cancer when I was 9.
Is that natural rain sounds i heard at the beginning? How lovely. I do remember you reading this on the Calm and i love that your viewers can hear it too Mrs Emma 😊🙏🏼💜 I'd say this version has even better audio quality too. Allow me to pour you some green tea and here's a snack for taking care of us 🍵🥯 I think we all could use some nurturing right now. Hope your week goes well and much love to the velveteen rabbit
@@MarinaOkarinah Yeah! I love the white noise effect too. It was a nice touch that helped me get relaxed for the video 😊 This is definitely one of Mrs Emma best videos. Glad you notice the same good things. Hope your week goes well 🌼
I’m in American and I’m boiling over with rage and anger and sadness and exhaustion over all of the insanity that is going on. I turned this video on and just started sobbing. Thank you
Your candlelight reading a few years back has meant the world to me. It helped me let go of my stuffed animals. Now we have come full circle together and you don’t even realize. I hope you see this. Thank you for helping me close a big chapter of my life properly.
i love this story!! i’ve had a plush eeyore since i was a baby, and i took him everywhere and loved him so much that he’s got holes in his fabric and his fur’s been rubbed off and his ears are chewed to shreds. he’s always been more than a stuffed toy to me and this story always reminds me of that. i still keep him for comfort (im autistic, and we tend to get really attached to toys/objects, not saying that other people don’t but it’s more common and intense for us) even though i’m 18
i know this comment is a bit old, but i totally feel this. im autistic too, and i still have my childhood stuffed lion. he’s 20 years old now! (i’m 22) and this video actually made me go dig him out because i realised how badly i missed him. im not sure i will ever put him away again now that i’ve reunited with him lol
i still sleep with my comfort object, a stuffed dalmatian puppy i named bolt after the disney movie, so i understand this so much. especially because winnie the pooh was my first ever special interest! i have a lot of pooh toys because of it and it felt so sweet reading about your love for your eeyore 🥹
This video reminds me of my grandma when she used to read to me my favorite book “the ugly duckling” when I was younger so thank you so much for bringing such lovely memories!
Emma's asmr brings everything and everyone to an calming state. As soon as i hear Emma's voice, all of the stress, and tension disappears.Hope everyone is staying safe today, know that you have a dedicated asmr community to help everyone feel at ease, One love to everyone here.

Falling asleep there's nothing like the memory of when you were a baby in your mother's arms reading a story and rubbing your head that will put you to sleep .there's nothing that can compare to that mother's love and that soft comforting voice. Your version of the velveteen rabbit brings me back to when I was very young 2 to 3 years old laying in my mother's arms reading a story or singing me a song called Barney ohle with the goo goo googly eyes. no stress is in the world no idea of anything outside your mother's arms just straight comfort and security this is what I get when I listen to the story that you read just about every night I listen to it : I'm 53 years old now and have a hard time sleeping without some sort of drug and this is become my drug of choice to listen to you read this story the way that you do . I tried passing it on too my children but unfortunately their mother did not read stories to them like this so they have a hard time understanding why I like it so much . Kids ?! I only make it usually maybe a quarter of the way through the story even the intro about Surfshark will put me to sleep some days. I wish there were other books that you read about this length and the same manner tone your context ! but it's been putting me to sleep for years since you put it out thank you very much for making it it's been a blessing since I found it Eric

Thank you so much for this. I just found out my grandma has cancer and I've been feeling really sad but this brought back all the great memories of her reading stories to me.
this was one of the first books i remember being attached to when i was very young. my mom would read it to me and i would always cry at the rabbit being lost... i live in the united states. i've been angry, defeated, and overwhelmingly saddened for nearly every waking hour this week. thank you for bringing me back to a simpler time. sending love to all :)

I had a really hard childhood and have PTSD from it. My mom used to read me this story before bed and it always made me feel calm and safe. I completely forgot about this story until this video. Thank you for bringing back the safe feeling I only felt for a little while. Your presence online is truly a blessing.
I LOVE this! I’ve listened to it to fall asleep almost daily since it was posted! I prefer a soft spoken voice over a whisper and the sound of books and pages is one of my greatest triggers, so it’s just perfect. I would love for you to read more stories in the future. Thanks, Emma!
Yes please more book reading. I’m a 62 year old child who feels so happy at my new discovery that I’ve shared with my older sisters, so you have 2 new fans. Thank you Miss Emma, for sharing your gifts with the world.
Omg this means so much to me. I was given a velvety rabbit when I was born and never left the house without him for 5 years then he sat on my bed until I was ten and when I finally had to put him up because of how fragile he became he looked exactly how this book describes a ‘real’ toy. His velvet all worn out seams pull up from being re stuffed, and his glass eyes were hanging by threads!
Im loving this, you just unlocked old childhood memories on where I don’t remember where i read the book but I have read it somewhere. I hope you keep doing reads like this of kids books.
I have definitely watched this at least twice now. This was my absolute favorite story as a kid and made me feel very nostalgic. Thank you for such an incredible video
I remember a couple years ago I couldn't sleep, so my friend reccomended I listen to asmr, and this was the first ever asmr video I watched. I still come back to it from time to time when I can't sleep.
Thank you, Emma! I'm in my 30s and felt like a little girl again. I wish my mother had loved me, maybe she would have read me to sleep when I was young. Emma, you have a very motherly presence about you and I think you have adopted a lot of 'TH-cam kids' lol me included. Love you. Thanks again.
Your voice is like a warm carmel sauce! So kind and comforting and just spreads all over and envelopes me. I used to love being read to, and I remember this story from childhood. So bittersweet. Thanks for this treasure!
💜 Hello my lovely sweet Emma 💜 I hope you’re doing well. It’s so nice to see another video. A perfect day for a story. It’s cool and raining outside today but tomorrow it’s going to be very hot. Plus I’m dealing with a little headache again today. It’s nice to hear a story on a rainy day. Especially from you! Your voice is so calming and soothing. My body just melts into a puddle when I hear your voice. I don’t know what I’d do without you my dear friend! Anyway, thank you so much for another lovely video! Lots and lots of love from me. 💜😘💖😘💜
Me: 31 and two toddlers I read bedtime stories to. Also me: Read me a bedtime story, Emma 😂 What are you gonna do?🤷♀️ she's amazing and comforting, and we deserve that too 😁❤❤
@@dogos075 Well this was a few months before my 28th birthday so I’m now 30 🤣 DUN DUN DUNNNN. It’s not so bad , apart from the bad knees and chronically sore back 😭😆
your color coordination/ visual components mixed with the pace, the diversity of vocal trigger sounds and obviously the tangible triggers are such a wonderful ratio!
Yes! I love this book and even owned a “velveteen rabbit” plush as a child. Another childhood favorite that I would love you to read would be Corduroy Bear. Have a great day and stay safe, Emma! :-)
You have no idea how this makes me happy!!! I first discovered you three years ago after typing "bedtime stories asmr british accent" and I've been a huge fan of your work since then!!! When it comes to reading bedtime stories you're a natural!!! thank you so so much ♥ ♥ ♥♥
There is just something about this video I can’t stop watching, I watch other ones from you to fall asleep but none of them give me such a feeling like this one, I always end up on this one! ❤️
Omg, I’ve been watching this vid everyday before bed and I just realized how amazing you are. I knew you were good but your voice is amazing, compared to EVERYONE else. They’re just whispering. Thank you for sharing your talent.
I really needed this. I miss my family so much right now because of lockdown. This made me think of all the bedtimes with my mum telling me stories, thank you ♥️
Thank you for this Emma. My dad just died unexpectedly three weeks ago and I'm in the middle of emptying his house and going through all his stuff. This video has helped me through a lot of dark nights and anxiety. So thank you for being you!
Please read more stories! One of my favorite early childhood memories was my mom reading to me at bedtime. I was afraid of the dark and it made me feel safe and warm. As much as I love to read, I still enjoy being read to by a soothing voice. 🧸📚
I've used this video to fall asleep every night for almost a week. I just love your reading videos! Your cadence is so natural and soothing, I could listen to you read for hours. One of my first experiences with ASMR (that I remember, anyway) was at the library, listening to the woman who read aloud for the children's reading circle. This gives me that same feeling of relaxed captivation. :) Thank you for always being here to help me relax.
Your videos are such a blessing during these times. Thank you for a safe space where this drained soul can come to rest, unwind, and recharge. Much love ❤️
i’ve listened to this multiple times a day every day since you uploaded. i keep falling asleep but i just love it so much. never knew the story before. this is so amazing
This is my favorite childhood book. I found myself crying through most of your reading. Tears of joy, as your voice was so perfect for this. It took me back to the time I first saw this play after our class read it. I think I was in second grade?! Please please please do this again with more short children’s stories! It’s beyond soothing and takes us all back to an innocent time ❤️
This story is how I found you on calm ap. I’ve listened to it about 30 times! You Emma read this sooooo beautifully. It took me about 20 listens to hear the ending as I kept falling asleep to your beautiful voice. So many words you pronounce so perfectly. Thank you xxxxxx
This has to be my favorite asmr video of all time. Ive watched it at least 4 times and it took about 3 nights to get through the whole story as I couldnt help dozing. Please please please make more of these! The nostalgic feeling of my mum reading to me when I was little helps me to relax so quickly.
I’ve always loved this story. It’s a sad one, but I’ve always been alright through it. I’m laying here crying and trying not to, which is just making me cry more. I just want to hug everything.
My grandma used to read this to me. I haven't seen her in a while, and I don't really expect to anytime soon, unfortunately. This really was lovely. Honestly the most soothing video I have found. Even though I am close to tears. 💜
iv come back to this video more than ten times throughout the last two years. its like my secret weapon when im really struggling to settle down and sleep. thank you so much for such a lovely soothing video💓
Listening to you reading this on the Calm app, was how I discovered ASMR in the first place. I now watch/listen every night to go to sleep. Thank you for everything you do 🥰
When I was little, my mom used to read to me each night. This video, which I’ve watched several times, takes me back to the comfort of my parents’ big king-sized bed and the coziness of falling asleep to a gentle, motherly voice. Thank you for this video, Dearest Emma. Hope you & your family are doing well.
thank you emma for this video 💕 it feels nice to have such a soothing voice read to you, reminds me of when i was a child and my mom would read to me at bed, or even sing the lullaby she made for me. she’s been gone for almost 2 months now, so being read to by you just feels like she’s still here with a book reading to me. ❤️
This was glorious! It brought me back to being a child. I had to listen in 5 installments because I kept drifting off to sleep 💜 I've been a devoted listener of yours since your trinket box tingles 6 years ago. Thank you for bringing endless comfort and peace into my life, always!
Took me three attempts to listen to this story as I fell asleep each time hearing the story, so soothing! Love listening to a story to help me sleep, takes me back to my childhood. This is my fave ASMR video so far and I’ve been a fan for quite some time now 🥰
I absolutely loved this storybook when I was small. I remember my copy was dark and had more illustrations, and they were beautiful, I loved looking at them.... probably just to stay up that little bit longer at night 😊
Emma, thank you so much for this video, from the bottom of my heart. I have been struggling with depression, today was a very bad day. This was my favorite story when I was a kid, so seeing you upload this video today is exactly what I needed. Thank you.
This is the version I read nearly 50 years ago as a child. It's not the same story in shorter versions, or the short animated movie. This is the only version that needs to exist, and I shed a tear or three as soon as you began to read. It was perfect, thank you ❤
Emma I seriously have Been rewatching and rewatching all your reading videos. And if I don’t want to rewatch it for the 30th time I can’t find another video with such a soothing amazing whisper. 💜 💕
I adore you so much Emma. You're what keeps me sane most days. Without you I'd be lost and so much more afraid and terrified and scared. I appreciate you still giving us amazing content during these hard times. May your family and you continue to be blessed and safe during these times.
This has been my favorite book my whole life long. It’s so dear to me and the fact that it has now been combined with asmr is just thrilling for me. Thank you so much!
I had a really hard day today and went to your channel to help me relax when I saw you posted this story time. I hope you upload more story times in the future because this was unbelievably relaxing and so enjoyable. Thank you so much for this and all of your videos.
Thank you so much Emma for choosing this book. My kids (4 and almost 2) have been asking for new bedtime vids and this couldn't have come at a better time! Love this. I was gardening while listening and I got all the feels while my hands were in the dirt
Emma, your unintentional mouth sounds are just perfect. Even though I can’t see your face, I can always tell when you’re smiling because of the little clicks and ticks xx
Emma I needed this today, thank you for everything that you do for the community - you and all of your hard work are always appreciated in our home ☺️❤️
oh my gosh it just started raining here, so listening to this plus the rain outside is gonna cause me to pass out!!! thank you for everything you do emma, i was just listening to some of your other videos before i saw that you uploaded again!

Thanks for this treasure!
this story brings up sweet memories, and your voice is so relaxing. 😊
thank you so much Emma for keeping us calm and relaxed during these awful times :) hope you're doing well 💜
💜 Hello my lovely sweet Emma 💜 I hope you’re doing well. 💜😘💖😘💜

What is it like being 29
@@dogos075 Well this was a few months before my 28th birthday so I’m now 30 🤣 DUN DUN DUNNNN. It’s not so bad , apart from the bad knees and chronically sore back 😭😆
@@OptimisticPessimist5 omg plot twist!! Do you like the song for a pessimist I’m pretty optimistic
your color coordination/ visual components mixed with the pace, the diversity of vocal trigger sounds and obviously the tangible triggers are such a wonderful ratio!
YES I LOVE WHEN PEOPLE READ
Yes! I love this book and even owned a “velveteen rabbit” plush as a child. Another childhood favorite that I would love you to read would be Corduroy Bear. Have a great day and stay safe, Emma! :-)
This story is actually really sad at times and I got super invested.
You have no idea how this makes me happy!!! I first discovered you three years ago after typing "bedtime stories asmr british accent" and I've been a huge fan of your work since then!!! When it comes to reading bedtime stories you're a natural!!! thank you so so much ♥ ♥ ♥♥
Oh wow that’s lovely! My pleasure Thank you 🙏🏼
There is just something about this video I can’t stop watching, I watch other ones from you to fall asleep but none of them give me such a feeling like this one, I always end up on this one! ❤️
Lovely Emma :) Fun fact: this was published in 1922, just two years before the development of the scarlet fever antitoxin.
*This was so relaxing!! Hope anyone reading this is having a nice evening* ☀️
I wonder if advertisers realize the extent to which they can have a segment of the population under a trance due to asmr commercials
EEK THE VELEVETEEN RABBIT WAS MY FAVORITE BOOK AS A KID. * sobs in nostalgia *
I watched this with my 8 yr old son for bedtime and he fell asleep by page 3!! You have an amazing ability, thank you for sharing it with the world❤️
This is my favorite childhood book.
Thankyou Emma, my mother was abusive so this is my only chance to feel that early childhood maternal love feeling it means the world ❤❤
I’ve always loved this story. It’s a sad one, but I’ve always been alright through it. I’m laying here crying and trying not to, which is just making me cry more. I just want to hug everything.
The most calming video I have ever heard!! Please do more like this with different stories in soft spoken voice! Absolutely perfect!!
My grandma used to read this to me. I haven't seen her in a while, and I don't really expect to anytime soon, unfortunately. This really was lovely. Honestly the most soothing video I have found. Even though I am close to tears. 💜
I can't actually listen to this to relax, the story makes me cry too much 😭😭
Yes! I'm glad you're reading a book. Doesn't matter what book, I just like the talking. Always helps me sleep.
my nana used to read this to me when i was younger. im going through a rough patch right now, and this is so very comforting. all my love
Emma's voice adds a whole new concept to the story, snuggled up in bed listening to this after a long day. Thankyou Emma 💝
iv come back to this video more than ten times throughout the last two years. its like my secret weapon when im really struggling to settle down and sleep. thank you so much for such a lovely soothing video💓
I listen to this on the calm app almost every night and I cannot express to you how much it helps me relax and sleep. You’re such a fantastic reader.
please do more of these stories, it really helps 😢
thank you so much. You have the best voice ever to tell stories 🍃🌹
thank you emma for this video 💕 it feels nice to have such a soothing voice read to you, reminds me of when i was a child and my mom would read to me at bed, or even sing the lullaby she made for me. she’s been gone for almost 2 months now, so being read to by you just feels like she’s still here with a book reading to me. ❤️
your voice is so incredibly soothing. thank you for this 🥰
This was glorious!
This is my fave ASMR video so far and I’ve been a fan for quite some time now 🥰
I was so sad when they took your reading off calm. Glad it’s back!
More videos like this please! The soft speaking and the sounds of the pages are just so perfect and dreamy and nostalgic.
Literally watch this every night to fall asleep for the past few months ♥️
This has been my favorite book my whole life long. It’s so dear to me and the fact that it has now been combined with asmr is just thrilling for me.
Thank you so much!
Having this book read to me as a child by my mother gave me ASMR, I just didn’t know it then! Such a happy peaceful feeling.
So amazing. I’ve listened to this 4 times in 2 days. Please read more!! You’ve got the best reading voice
My favorite book as child I still read it hear and there with my son!
This book is why I have an emotional attachment to every stuffed animal I have LOL I can't get rid of them, I can't hurt their feelings like that!
Perfect!!! and thank you so much 😊
I had a tape that i listened to when i was younger that played this, i always loved listening to it when i was falling asleep. Thank you so much for this i needed it so much❤
