Dr. Thank you for this video. You answered a bunch of questions in the vid. and a bunch more in the comments. I see your in Texas, Can you recommend someone in Az. ? If not it's only about 16 hrs. there. By the way, you have the same last name as my cardiologist.
Is tissue from the corpora cavernosa removed to make space for the cylinders? When aroused, does blood still flow into the corpora cavernosa giving a pleasurable sensation, or is it now only saline?
@@TravisPGreenMD interesting, because on a forum some guy said that when aroused he still gets pleasurable blood flow to the penis, unless for his procedure they didn't remove the tissue, will try and follow up with these ppl.
Sometimes people have reported they can still get an erection around the implant. However there are other blood supplies that will increase when aroused.
Is there a rejection rate where the body permanently rejects the product or is that different from the infection rate? Also another question any advice on the malleable penile implants?
Hi. thanks for the information on your video. I have a few questions that were not covered in this video. 1. Can the implant be re-inserted or upgraded if it fails in 10 or 15 years? 2. Would I be able to have an Utrasound or MRI with these impants? 3. Since the implants are made from Silicon, is this dangerous for my health?
Thanks for the video. I am 2.5 year post radical prostatectomy by Dr Hahn at John’s Hopkins. 3+4 Gleason all contained My PSA numbers are still undetectable. 10 mg daily Cialis only gives me a “semi”. 0.3 - 0.4 cc’s of Bimix gives me a long lasting erection but injecting myself is stressful and my wife and I miss the spontaneity ! I am seriously considering an implant as the next step. I am 58 years old in otherwise good health.
One question not covered in your video. What is the RECOVERY TIME ? I am a full time Paramedic. I have plenty of sick leave but I would like to get back to work in a reasonable amount of time.
Hello Dr Green. I am based in Australia. I am in my 50's that went through some prolonged Priapism last year, which has left me with permanent ED. This story is for some other time. Many specialists have told me that there is no way I will ever get an erection naturally. I have been told/advised that I have quite a bit of scar tissue/damage inside, due to several aspirations as well. So my questions are, is it still possible to get an implant? Will the scarring inside be removed and make it possible? Thank you.

Hi, Dr. What about someone flying in from overseas that does not have insurance but are able to pay out of pocket does the cost come down somewhat. There are men in my region the Bahamas who are very much interested in having a penile implant.
I have Pyronies and I really need it,but I'm sure my insurance company with say no.That said does insurance companies cover this surgery? And if I had to pay cash how much is it If I had to pay cash? Thanks
Insurance companies will normally cover it. However, it can be carrier specific. Get with your Urologist and they can work with you. Cash pay prices tend to vary throughout the country.
Why do you use the incision approach between the penis and scrotum ? I am getting my surgery with Dr. Perito and he does his incision at the pubis (above the penis in where the hair is) is one better then the other ? Should I worry about one approach vs another ? Surgery is March 15th.
The inflatable penile implant is much more natural feeling and does get a more rigid erection. We tend to leave the malleable to patients who are not good candidates for the inflatable implant or prefer the malleable for some reason.
@@TravisPGreenMD yes inflatable implant good for natural feeling.. but.. three peice imflatable implant also complicated bcoz of button and pump kind there some chance to mechanical issue . but mallable is i think better bcoz there is not any button or pump or wire.simply a rode which is long lasting and no worry about any mechanical issues..,, i think i m right 🙂
I was told after a radical prostate removal that my insurance would cover it. Told that at the time he advocated for it. Told that at the consultation with my wife and my self. Told that at the pre-op and right before the procedure. Insurance didn’t cover it and after legal mess have payed more than $35,000. After less than a year and half my soft touch Coloplast implant has failed and not the Dr or the manufacturer or the hospital will stand for making it right. Second my penis DOES not look the same. Next the sensation is no where near the same! This was the worse mistake of my life. Now, after asking for the injections this was what I got. And going through airports it has set it off.

I tell everyone to cycle the device twice daily for the first few months. This can help to gain a little bit of length. There are also some expanding devices. However these do not work miracles but can get a few centimeters.
Dr. Forgot to mention how long do they last. Trust me don't do it unless you're about 65 or 70 They won't tell you the implants will only last Maybe 8 or 10 years. When the go bad and they will you'll have to do it all over again. I've been there done that.

That tissue inside the corpora is destroyed. The space is taken up by the cylinders. The blood flow to that area is no more.

What can be done, if anything, if your atrophy makes your anatomy too small for the implant types to fit?
Can you go jogging like 6 - 10 miles 3 - 4 times a week without harming the insertion stitches ....?

It really is just surgeon preference. No way is better than the other. There are some pluses and minuses to each. However the end result is the same.
I have heard that one has less pain, if done above the penis.

When will it auto -control by a batter? It cost 18,000 dollars!
I was told there a cord that can be cut to give you more length. Is this true?
There is a suspensory ligament that can be cut but it comes with its own problems and issues when cut.
Im wondering if the resivor will interfere with the urinary bladder at all
No
Not if placed in the correct position.
