add on to what Vieris said
it could be a coincident where dude has pushy & persistent walk-in sales continuousfor the week, and Lui just happened to be the last one.
dude probably just want to chase any walk-in sales away immediately, like 0 seconds delay.
(it's rare but continuous walk-in sales is possible, like this festive season, black marketing companies will just ride on the festive bandwagon and pressure all their employees do walk-in sales everyday.)

Thinking "why?" before thinking "Screw you!" is definitely a mentality that more people should work towards.
Sure standing up for yourself is great, but responding to the provocation of clearly emotionally unstable individuals with emotional instability of your own will only fuel the fire and escalate the hostility.
If more people could learn to ask "why?" (even just internally) and genuinely try to think about why a person would act the way they did, then a lot of conflict could be avoided/dissipated.
Don't eagerly jump into the antagonist role thrust upon you by people that are potentially having the worst days of their lives. Conflict takes two.

We'll make sure to ruin your reputation so no company wants you, make you do work extras even might call you out or ignore your vacations, if you get some they'll make sure you get badmouthing by the rest of your coworkers because they have to do more work because of you leaving open one space...
