Seeing this fills me with so much joy. These were my absolute best childhood memories. I'm so glad they started it up again , I can only pray for a chance to experience it once more. Thank you so very much for sharing this video.

I grew up in Jamaica in the early sixties and seventies and I've never seen trains, its so good to see the railway system being in operation and seeing the beautiful countryside long may it continue 🇯🇲🇯🇲🇯🇲🇯🇲🙏🏿🙏🏿

I used to take the train from Kingston and from Spanish Town to go visit my grand-parents when I was a kid. Sadly, this service was discontinued shortly after the relaunch.

Passenger Railway (train line) established - USA 1830, Canada 1836 and Jamaica 1845; great accomplishment for a small nation even though a British Colony at the time, and just 20 years after Britain got it's own rail system into operation.

If you build a high speed passenger rail line across Jamaica with train running at 300/km/h, it will take you from Kingston to Montego Bay within less than 40 minutes!

No ja government makes way fir all ti succeed...many people are lazy sbd have no vision...the government has housing but u need a basic jib and sone people too proud to work. Don't deceive ur self majority of the country looks nothing like this...if u go to these dame people and offer then work some might come others won't, the ones that do come Will show up late or don't show up at all. They will chase ur customers awat because they lack people skills and u cant give then constructive criticism ir they either cuss u out, fight u or shoot u. So don't blame our government, Jamaicans who want yi succeed has the opportunity to.

Rich Mck... Jamaica has had railway since 1845....The Railways of Jamaica, constructed from 1845, were the second British Colony after Canada's Champlain and St. Lawrence Railroad of 1836 to receive a railway system. It was closed in 1992, briefly reopened in 2011 but was closed down again in 2012.

why not make rail line that transport goods and people
    that's of some practical purpose
to the people and the economy.
Kingston to mobay. That brings down the price of goods, through
    cheaper transportation cost.
Take a look at what Sankara did for his country in just four years.
    You can do it Jamaica!

You're right, these people think their blessing comes from the whiteman, therefore their is no need to fast and pray, have a relationship with God and use their brains. They don't comprehend the the people troughout the diaspora is their national resources, of ideas, retirement checks ( foriegn exchange), nursing homes, medical / dental tourism, remittance checks, delelopment and technological inspiration and inventions. Providing help and collaboration and policies in such enterprises to create jobs, fabricate new machines for farming, tourism, energy food sufficiency, fridgeration processing, distribution, new and innovative building materials for industries. The are just some concepts that should be keenly studied and implimented, a new way of looking outside the box.
This lille island, if manage efficiently, be quite a comfortable,
safe and interesting place to live, if the security situation could be mitigated, and good policies enacted, along with curbing the
rampant corruption. But instead you have people selling they country to foriegners, don't
careful and you will see what happen, powerful nation will bring you back into severe troubles if you take their things and can't pay them back, for you won't have the might or the power to dislodge them either. look at the bigger picture and see what is at stake. You want to play international politics, you're a small fish in a pond of whales, you will get eaten up. Some people nerver have any
international experience, nor experience in certain area of expertise but they want to make descisions in those areas, why not consult with an expert, seek good counsel. I am amazed at the folly, risking the future of a nation.

Ask for help and gov should put a nice front fence, stop hide crime.
