Just a word of advice declan you might not be aware, But in future when tagging calves don't do what you just done if that calf let out one roar you would be in serious danger you have no protection from her driving you into a wall. Just a heads up for future preference.. Great to see you back you have plenty of help..
Yes Michael I understand a newly calved cow is very protective of her calf and can be dangerous. I am not saying my approach is okay but our home bred cows are as quiet as they get, mutual trust and respect like Mike Tyson and His Tigers 😅😂 Thanks Michael
@@brendannaughton1996 That's fair enough too Brendan, always good to be cautious and safety minded. I am not telling anyone to copy me rather I am showing how it is being done on our farm currently. Like many things on the farm there is a probably a better, more efficient and safer way to do it but sometimes you just have to get stuff done...

Cheers John I actually made them a year ago but when looking to make the cubicle are into a calving unit there was no better fit than cubicles that were made to the same space and a great means to recycle the steel that was sitting there for years

I completely agree with u.never think a cow is quiet as a lamb.them are the ones to watch out.
And that's the cow that will get you. Have seen it happen so fast. Just leave the cow outside

How early did you scan your cows? If you’re beyond a month after conception then aging of calves can be very inaccurate. Were they AId?
