Crazy how a game like this inspired my friend to get a masters in Engineering. It all began with us creating levels and making the craziest levels on LBP 2. Now he’s in his third year in Uni. I should send him this song for the nostalgia. It’s a shame what happened to the series. Nothing will ever beat those warm nights playing until 3am on the moon, trying to create the silliest movies, levels, and just being kids. Then playing some bomb survival with randoms.

I pla5y LBP alot when I was 5. 1 and 2 specifically. I also like Animal Crossing as it was my first ever game. LBP and AC both have a connection in my opinion being able to create and personalize you and your world.

Bro that wolf game of hunting and making little pups and upgrading you wolf op, just sitting around and talking to people in their own pods and seeing how they customized their characters and pods. Let’s also not forget the 50-100 jump levels.
You'll always be in my heart Little Big Planet, you taught me so much, back when I was a kid, you taught me to play, play levels and trying to complete them with only one live, to play every single level that I found, you taught me to create, make whatever I wanted, even if I had no idea how to use the materials or didn't know what I was doing, and most important, you taught me to share, share my creations with others, share my emotions, happiness and joy with the others Sackboys. I will NEVER forget you LBP you are literally my childhood and thanks to you, I am the person that I am now, thanks for the memories.
I will never forget when I discovered LittleBigPlanet. Being like, 5 years old, and my dad took me to gamestop to get some games for my PS3. after searching, I laid eyes on it. The start of my entire childhood. LittleBigPlanet 2. And when I locked eyes on it, it was like a parasite connection. To this day, I still have no reason why 5 year old me thought LittleBigPlanet 2 was so special in the sea of games there, But I'm glad I did. I'm holding back tears righting this right now. Of course I asked my dad to get it, and because of why we were in GameStop, he did. I brought it home, and from that day forward, I was playing it at every second of free time I had. Visiting grandma's? LittleBigPlanet 2. Home from school? LittleBigPlanet 2. Finished my dinner? LittleBigPlanet 2. I remember one time I even tried sneaking out of my bedroom very late at night just to finish a level. I eventually realized that if LittleBigPlanet 2, exists. surely LittleBigPlanet 1 exists. So, that is my story of LittleBigPlanet 1. I played it as much as 2 when I got it. But back to LittleBigPlanet 2, and I fell out with it as I grew older, but I still tried to make time for it. And the final nail in the coffin was when I got a PS4, Now it's no secret that any kid who owns a game console would always want to upgrade to the newest release, but I was happy with my PS3. and that couldn't be changed. But believe me, if LittleBigPlanet 1 and 2 were on Playstation NOW, I would probably be playing them alot. But LittleBigPlanet 2, and the entire franchise for that matter, will always be special in my heart. and it's been the biggest game of my life ever since.

@Tyler Gray @Tyler Gray The console is broken. It doesn't work. Something could be wrong with hardware or software. I currently know i have no way to fix it. Long story. But here is the reason why i lost it. I still have it. But it doesn't work correctly. This is how i remember it all happened from the point it was working well until the point it was already a paperweight: It was a normal day, the ps3 was being used by me frecuently, it was working very good and wasn't giving me a problem at all, so i said my friends i would play black ops 2 later, i said that a lot of times until i finally decided it was time to play with them. I turned the ps3 on that day, i started black ops 2 and joined the Zombies party, everything was fine, i was playing great but i was trying some sensibility settings, 12 is max. So i paused the game, selected 7 and then resumed playing a few seconds, then, i wanted to change it to 12 again, so i paused the game. At the middle of the pause menu animation it froze, the ps3 was basically unresponsive and it was obvious it froze. So i thought, oh no. Why did it froze there? So i had no more option to think it was a normal freeze like everytime (almost every ps3 i have used freezes every now and then so it's normal for me, you just need to prees power button and turn it back on.) So, i touched the power button to turn it off and it was okay, it turned off perfectly, so i turned it back on, and the system needed to check the files (this happens almost everytime a ps3 freezes and its turned off) so i selected "accept" to check the files. At the middle of the file checkup it froze like at 75% thought: "something is not okay here. Something very bad just happened." I touched power button after the unresponsiveness of the playstation. It did not want to shut down, it was still giving video. Once again, i try touchin the power button again, still giving video. I know something was very wrong so i thought something similar to this: "This ps3 is now no longer working." I had no more option than to disconnect the system from the power cable, i did it, the ps3 obviously turned off. I knew it was now a broken ps3. So, i connected it and turned it back on, the system didn't ask for file check so then my brother decided to test the system to see if it was working, at that moment i was also looking at the console. So it looked fine so he started Dark Souls 2. Aproximately, 2 or 3 minutes later it froze, again doesn't turn off, so he disconnected it and turned it back on. he tried again with another app: netflix, 2 or 3 minutes later it froze. Same process of shutdown. At this point you could think: "It's the hard drive, try doing a file system rebuild" or something like that. He boots the playstation 3 in safe mode. He uses the rebuild database option. So i remember the rebuilding process happen when the system reboots or something like that. Where you are able to see the Background wave. And it froze at the middle of the Rebuild process. It didn't took a lot of time, it probably was 5 minutes or something. Same shutdown process. He tried another option, no use. Now the playstation 3 system froze before showing the user selection menu, just background wave and unresponsive after showing ps3 logo. It's no use. It got even worse. Time later, my brother bought a new HDD, and he already had another ps3 at that moment, so he had 1 Working HDD and another that was probably working too, and the last one that was in the broken ps3 was supposed to be the broken hdd. So downloaded Software update into a usb and then he installed the new hard drive into the broken ps3 to try and fix it, it froze various times, i remember it even showed black empty screens, sometimes no signal in tv while it was on. He started the installation of the hard drive and it froze. It froze at the installation. Then he checked that same hard drive in the other working ps3, it worked. It installed correctly. So he then used the supposedly broken hdd in the working ps3. The hdd was also working, all three hdd was working. But the three hdd didn't work with the broken ps3. That means, the ps3 wasn't working, and now it doesn't have a HDD with a system firmware. That means the ps3 will not start without one, so. Its unusable now. Stuck without a hdd and a firmware version, and unable to install one, so the playstation is somewhere, laying there. Thats what i remember, i don't know a lot about how playstation works, but if it cannot install a HDD, then i don't think it has an easy fix. There is no way i could send it for repair.
Just turned 19 yesterday. No matter how old I get, I’ll never forget what this game meant to me. I made so many friends on this game because i couldn’t make many in real life. I was never judged on this game, I could always find someone to relate with thanks to Dive in. Most kids nowadays grew up with fortnite, I grew up with LittleBigPlanet 2.
this game is very deep in my heart, even since my early childhood, it's sad that the game is underappreciated and left abandoned, it has very creative and original gameplay and concepts, you can do whatever you want in moon, you can share your creativities even though they're "not very good", after it's shutdown and dying community, the game is still, is going to be very close to my heart. nostalgia was so strong that i wanted to cry, but unfortunately couldn't, i really hope media molecule will sooner or later get back to the LittleBigPlanet. I really love this game...
when i played lbp2 for the first time i really got excited and hearing this music for the first time i thought like the lbp2 pod is a cold place where you can explore planets and its very comfortable Also the moon i imagined like a spacial alien concert lol 😂 memories ..
Sucks thinking back to the times you’d play this game with random people and just have the time of your life, knowing you’ll never be able to relive it or maybe even get that sort of feeling again
The My Moon music is so spectacular. Slightly unrelated, but the fact that we could customize the look of our pod planets was so cool to me when I got this game.
-Jeff The Killer -Splinter-Cell Multiplayer -Whale Survival -Wolf RPG -Nuclear Bomb Survival -Mini-Golf Man, so many memories with so many people back in the day… I remember when I was 12 I would come home from school every single day and hop on LBP2 for the whole day chatting with friends and making new ones, now I’m 21 and I’m sitting here listening to the music that kept me from going insane whenever I’d run into those very long load times for levels and everyone in the pod growing increasingly frustrated. LBP2 will always remain in my mind as a key memory in my life, it was when I was happiest and when I met the many friends I still have today. Thank you Media Molecule, for making my childhood that little more special.
This is such a good theme that matches LPB so well. Honestly so nostalgic listening to this, I can hear all the other little menu noises as well, like the level selection beeps and pops :D

i remember being friends with this one dude who made the abandoned by disney series of levels and he even let me join his moon while he worked on a new abandoned by disney level. i was extremely inspired by that guy, and i still am, to the point where i'm considering porting some of my old horror levels into terror engine or some other actual game engine. this game has changed my life forever and i am extremely grateful for it. i remember going online and playing RPGs, bomb survivals, horror levels, etc. and the memories will never fade. i'm still thinking of booting up lbp2 one last time and playing the story mode and making one last level. i don't wanna give up this game, i don't wanna leave it for good, but maybe it's for the better. i'm a new person now, i've grown up, maybe lbp2 deserves to have a rest.

bro i have a love hate relationship with LBP2 after I put it down. I absolutely adore the game and the legendary people that i met that i am sad to say, will never meet again. the hate part is after i stopped playing + a few years. every time I think about it I always try to force myself away from it as it makes me feel nostalgic and sad.
The first game had an undeniable charm and magic to it. But this game will always hold that special place in my heart , always. The peak of this game was one hell of a time to be alive.

I remember me and my Dad got a used copy at Blockbuster one night. I couldn't sleep because I was so excited to play it in the morning. Then I woke up early to play. I was dead tired but so so excited I didn't feel it! The sound of the PS3 fan/disc clicking always reminds me of waking up early to play and being tired but excited, haha. Now I'm an adult and I'm not sure if I'll get those days again where I have nothing at all due. Hopefully some days! But it's okay, being an adult is cool too. Just tiring as of late. Hope it'll be easier when this pandemic's over.
I vividly remember a GTA clone where you could either steal as a criminal or get a job somewhere and buy a huge house. No feeling of worry over school, just childlike happiness. I miss those days so much. Why didn't i make the most of them?

It's truly saddening to see the servers go offline. I'm happy I backed up my save file and all my pictures I uploaded before everything went downhill. It's kinda funny - my profile picture was one of the pictures I took in-game probably 8 years ago at this point, and it's been my profile pic ever since.
Ah, the days of Summer 2012, when I played the shit out of this game nonstop because I loved it so much. This theme lives in my head rent-free as a symbol of the past. LBP2 was also the first game I remember getting excited to play.

the earth pod theme does have a backstory in LBP1 in the files of the game a file has a unused theme its the same pod theme but instead with out the machine sounds it was reused in this game
When you remember this song you remember waiting for lots of fun and not copied levels. I’ve never played lbp2. I Had the first after the PS4 came out. About a few months after LBP3 came out. My parents had gotten it for me as a gift. I started crying and was so exited to take it home and play with my sister. We only had time to complete the tutorial. Sadly because of all the bugs. Our game is softlocked. We played online but now my sister never wants to play with me, nobody is online, and it’s hard to find good levels. I miss LBP.

I will never forget when I discovered LittleBigPlanet. Being like, 5 years old, and my dad took me to gamestop to get some games for my PS3. after searching, I laid eyes on it. The start of my entire childhood. LittleBigPlanet 2.
And when I locked eyes on it, it was like a parasite connection. To this day, I still have no reason why 5 year old me thought LittleBigPlanet 2 was so special in the sea of games there, But I'm glad I did. I'm holding back tears righting this right now. Of course I asked my dad to get it, and because of why we were in GameStop, he did. I brought it home, and from that day forward, I was playing it at every second of free time I had. Visiting grandma's? LittleBigPlanet 2. Home from school? LittleBigPlanet 2. Finished my dinner? LittleBigPlanet 2. I remember one time I even tried sneaking out of my bedroom very late at night just to finish a level. I eventually realized that if LittleBigPlanet 2, exists. surely LittleBigPlanet 1 exists. So, that is my story of LittleBigPlanet 1. I played it as much as 2 when I got it. But back to LittleBigPlanet 2, and I fell out with it as I grew older, but I still tried to make time for it. And the final nail in the coffin was when I got a PS4, Now it's no secret that any kid who owns a game console would always want to upgrade to the newest release, but I was happy with my PS3. and that couldn't be changed.
But believe me, if LittleBigPlanet 1 and 2 were on Playstation NOW, I would probably be playing them alot. But LittleBigPlanet 2, and the entire franchise for that matter, will always be special in my heart. and it's been the biggest game of my life ever since.

@Tyler Gray @Tyler Gray The console is broken. It doesn't work. Something could be wrong with hardware or software. I currently know i have no way to fix it. Long story. But here is the reason why i lost it.
I still have it. But it doesn't work correctly. This is how i remember it all happened from the point it was working well until the point it was already a paperweight:
It was a normal day, the ps3 was being used by me frecuently, it was working very good and wasn't giving me a problem at all, so i said my friends i would play black ops 2 later, i said that a lot of times until i finally decided it was time to play with them. I turned the ps3 on that day, i started black ops 2 and joined the Zombies party, everything was fine, i was playing great but i was trying some sensibility settings, 12 is max. So i paused the game, selected 7 and then resumed playing a few seconds, then, i wanted to change it to 12 again, so i paused the game. At the middle of the pause menu animation it froze, the ps3 was basically unresponsive and it was obvious it froze. So i thought, oh no. Why did it froze there? So i had no more option to think it was a normal freeze like everytime (almost every ps3 i have used freezes every now and then so it's normal for me, you just need to prees power button and turn it back on.) So, i touched the power button to turn it off and it was okay, it turned off perfectly, so i turned it back on, and the system needed to check the files (this happens almost everytime a ps3 freezes and its turned off) so i selected "accept" to check the files. At the middle of the file checkup it froze like at 75% thought: "something is not okay here. Something very bad just happened." I touched power button after the unresponsiveness of the playstation. It did not want to shut down, it was still giving video. Once again, i try touchin the power button again, still giving video. I know something was very wrong so i thought something similar to this: "This ps3 is now no longer working." I had no more option than to disconnect the system from the power cable, i did it, the ps3 obviously turned off. I knew it was now a broken ps3. So, i connected it and turned it back on, the system didn't ask for file check so then my brother decided to test the system to see if it was working, at that moment i was also looking at the console. So it looked fine so he started Dark Souls 2. Aproximately, 2 or 3 minutes later it froze, again doesn't turn off, so he disconnected it and turned it back on. he tried again with another app: netflix, 2 or 3 minutes later it froze. Same process of shutdown. At this point you could think: "It's the hard drive, try doing a file system rebuild" or something like that. He boots the playstation 3 in safe mode. He uses the rebuild database option. So i remember the rebuilding process happen when the system reboots or something like that. Where you are able to see the Background wave. And it froze at the middle of the Rebuild process. It didn't took a lot of time, it probably was 5 minutes or something. Same shutdown process. He tried another option, no use. Now the playstation 3 system froze before showing the user selection menu, just background wave and unresponsive after showing ps3 logo. It's no use. It got even worse. Time later, my brother bought a new HDD, and he already had another ps3 at that moment, so he had 1 Working HDD and another that was probably working too, and the last one that was in the broken ps3 was supposed to be the broken hdd. So downloaded Software update into a usb and then he installed the new hard drive into the broken ps3 to try and fix it, it froze various times, i remember it even showed black empty screens, sometimes no signal in tv while it was on. He started the installation of the hard drive and it froze. It froze at the installation. Then he checked that same hard drive in the other working ps3, it worked. It installed correctly. So he then used the supposedly broken hdd in the working ps3. The hdd was also working, all three hdd was working. But the three hdd didn't work with the broken ps3. That means, the ps3 wasn't working, and now it doesn't have a HDD with a system firmware. That means the ps3 will not start without one, so. Its unusable now. Stuck without a hdd and a firmware version, and unable to install one, so the playstation is somewhere, laying there.
Thats what i remember, i don't know a lot about how playstation works, but if it cannot install a HDD, then i don't think it has an easy fix. There is no way i could send it for repair.
I remember how devious I thought I was playing this game up till around one in the morning when I was 10 years old. Boy the times have changed LMAO

Just turned 19 yesterday. No matter how old I get, I’ll never forget what this game meant to me. I made so many friends on this game because i couldn’t make many in real life. I was never judged on this game, I could always find someone to relate with thanks to Dive in. Most kids nowadays grew up with fortnite, I grew up with LittleBigPlanet 2.
this game is very deep in my heart, even since my early childhood, it's sad that the game is underappreciated and left abandoned, it has very creative and original gameplay and concepts, you can do whatever you want in moon, you can share your creativities even though they're "not very good", after it's shutdown and dying community, the game is still, is going to be very close to my heart. nostalgia was so strong that i wanted to cry, but unfortunately couldn't, i really hope media molecule will sooner or later get back to the LittleBigPlanet. I really love this game...

Man, so many memories with so many people back in the day… I remember when I was 12 I would come home from school every single day and hop on LBP2 for the whole day chatting with friends and making new ones, now I’m 21 and I’m sitting here listening to the music that kept me from going insane whenever I’d run into those very long load times for levels and everyone in the pod growing increasingly frustrated.
LBP2 will always remain in my mind as a key memory in my life, it was when I was happiest and when I met the many friends I still have today.

i remember being friends with this one dude who made the abandoned by disney series of levels and he even let me join his moon while he worked on a new abandoned by disney level. i was extremely inspired by that guy, and i still am, to the point where i'm considering porting some of my old horror levels into terror engine or some other actual game engine. this game has changed my life forever and i am extremely grateful for it. i remember going online and playing RPGs, bomb survivals, horror levels, etc. and the memories will never fade. i'm still thinking of booting up lbp2 one last time and playing the story mode and making one last level. i don't wanna give up this game, i don't wanna leave it for good, but maybe it's for the better. i'm a new person now, i've grown up, maybe lbp2 deserves to have a rest.

I remember me and my Dad got a used copy at Blockbuster one night. I couldn't sleep because I was so excited to play it in the morning. Then I woke up early to play. I was dead tired but so so excited I didn't feel it!
The sound of the PS3 fan/disc clicking always reminds me of waking up early to play and being tired but excited, haha.
Now I'm an adult and I'm not sure if I'll get those days again where I have nothing at all due. Hopefully some days! But it's okay, being an adult is cool too. Just tiring as of late. Hope it'll be easier when this pandemic's over.

When you remember this song you remember waiting for lots of fun and not copied levels. I’ve never played lbp2. I Had the first after the PS4 came out. About a few months after LBP3 came out. My parents had gotten it for me as a gift. I started crying and was so exited to take it home and play with my sister. We only had time to complete the tutorial. Sadly because of all the bugs. Our game is softlocked. We played online but now my sister never wants to play with me, nobody is online, and it’s hard to find good levels. I miss LBP.

my brother has arrived after a week in hospital, the day was 01/07/2011, my father bought him LBP2. we played until our eyes couldn't hold itself opened. the final days of my childhood was insanely good.
