That's crazy, I wake up to a freshly released Joe Rogan podcast with a beekeeper and a FS about beekeeping. For someone who's been secretly dreaming of keeping bees since childhood it must be sign 🐝🐝🐝

bees are amazing and go hand in hand with the evolution of flowering plants. damn my biology undergrad me is screaming haplodiploidy is the reason for the organization. I don't keep bees myself but I have a neighbor who does. What a godsend 🤙

I started working with a small beekeeper about 8 months ago. I found them at a local farmers market and convince them to let me work for free. I'm getting so much experience. And he gives me honey in return.

Love the content, I have 4 hives and been beekeeping for about 5 years. BTW, I live in Midway, UT and am wondering if you guys are going to open your HQ store before Christmas?

We live near the east coast South Carolina. Very interested in Beekeeping. There are a lot of southern gardens, landscapes with lots of Color. winters are average 50deg. to 90s in summer. But I'm in the city with lots of developments being built. we have walls around each property and I notice bees like nesting in my backyard in Odd places I'll leave them were ever they hive. Would I need a permit or do you need to tell your neighbors you will be starting as beekeeper? Great information guys Thank you.

Where do you get bees from to start a hive?

search for a 3lb package with queen in your area. Lots of packages come from Georgia and and South Carolina. Where do you live? You could also capture a swarm by luring a swarm with lemongrass oil during early spring, but I would recommend getting a package your first time.
