CALIBAN II For the Memes! II Hit & Miss (Literally!) II WoT Console II Evolution Season

Today's video reviews the brand new WWII Tier 8 Premium to enter World of Tanks Console, the Caliban.
This Tier 8 British Heavy Tank is meme lovers best friend. With a 152.4mm gun, 850 alpha HESH rounds and a 2 shot Autoreloader capable of dealing 1700 damage in 3.75 seconds, you'd think this tank would be OP right?
Hold on. This tank also suffers from extremely poor DPM, terrible gun handling, average mobility and armour that can bounce some shells but won't hold up against good penetration rounds. It's also very expensive!
The Caliban comes in from World of Tanks PC with the same statistics, unusual for a Premium Tank that transfers from one to the other. The only difference is World of Tanks Console have given the Caliban a single shot gun package as well for those players who don't like the Autoreloading mechanic.
This truly is a crazy tank and is a mix of extreme ups and downs.
In this review I will give you a full showcase of the tank's statistics, compare both gun packages, talk about the armour and show you my equipment and commander setup.
Throughout the gameplay that follows the review, I try my best to demonstrate how this tank performs with both the single fire and Autoreloading gun package.

I always tell my girlfriend she's not starting at the right place with the ruler lol.
I think to play competitively the Caliban is a challenge but when you have those games RNG is on your side it is hilarious. Too expensive for what it is though if you're looking for something to play to finish top.

I really like the tank and we waited so long to get it, I was buzzin when it arrived on console.
I gotta stop watching your videos while I'm playing, every times my wr goes down , I end up focused on stats or your game play that I forget what I'm doing in game.

I was super happy to play it after watching it on PC. I know it's definitely a 'literal' hit or miss tank though and most will probably hate it.

I think 80% of players won't like to play it. The sound of the burst damage sounds better than it feels to actually put the effort to accomplish it lol.
It can be very fun and it's definitely a meme but for the price, it isn't worth it.
I am am sure it will be on sale further down the line

I agree with you on that one mate.
I think it would be worth it as a meme in a 50% off sale but right now, you can get so many better tanks for half the price or even earn for free.
