saw this nearly a week ago in bristol, it was my first time seeing this show i love so much live and it did not disappoint! the theatre was electric and the cast were fantastic!
Imagine being in this cast and working your butt off only to have everyone air their vitriol at you online. Audiences don't appreciate actors anymore it seems. There's a difference between something not being done the way you want and not being done well. If you're going to be stuck up snobs about it, GO WATCH THE MOVIE. Even if you DIDN'T know that 5 of the principles were covers, couldn't you at least appreciate the performance? Because frankly, (no pun intended,) this isn't an easy show. Time Warp is freaking exhausting. I'm in a production of it at the moment as Riff Raff- and while it's not a professional production, it's still high energy and a lot of choreography. Wearing black under stage lights gets hot- which I'm seeing a lot of this cast in. With the knowledge though that 5 of these actors are covers for main roles, give credit where it's freaking due. Understudies don't get practice like the main actors, and that's hard enough. I CANNOT imagine doing this as an //entire group// of understudies together. Please appreciate actors more; we work freaking hard to do a good performance.

@@fuzzycuddlebearthatsmells2746 No, this is in the UK. Kristian Lavercombe (Riff Raff) is actually a Welsh born actor and has done the role more than anyone in the history of the show. ^_^

Frank N Firter's actor is so much better in this one. He finds the right ballence of gruff and camp to completely sell the role without being underconfident and awkward or deliberately sounding posh and stuck up
Riff Raff - kristian lavercombe Magenta - suzie mcadam Frank n furter - Stephen webb Brad - ore oduba Janet - haley flaherty Those are the only ones I know
@@DaisyJane09- The same Magenta in the clip, Susie McAdam, I saw play Magenta in Cambridge a couple of years ago - and she was absolutely brilliant!!!! Absolutely fantastic. Kristian Lavercombe was in that production too along with Stephen Webb as Frank N Furter. It was stunning, all of it.
8 out of the cast of 13 caught covid the day before this (5 of the people off were the leads and the others were understudies) so it was all thrown together very quickly
I think the original version so like the ones that are not filmed are the interactive ones, the recorded ones are for cinemas and could be brocasted on tv. That’s maybe the case??? I don’t know though
Some pretty average talent here, lumbering around the stage, average voices. I feel like a parent who stayed to watch the adult class at their child’s dance recital and immediately regretted it, but couldn’t leave. Back up dancers are fine, but Magenta, meh.
Kristian Lavercombe is sublime
Saw this live, absolute gold
It was magnificent mr macguire recovered from his...head injury.
Saw it last night and the narrator was fucking godly
I really love the lighting on this. It's spectacular.
I like how Brad and Janet joined the dance. Magenta and Columbia can sure belt out a song.

Saw this live at the lighthouse - Frank blew a kiss at me!!!
A great performance of a classic song!
I went to go see this exact one for the first time ever to watching it and oh my god it’s amazing
I wish that the Musical version was on Netflix and Disney + and all of the other streaming services!
One of the best cast I have seen !!
Saw this yesterday at Kings, Edinburgh. Great cast, fun & great musicians & lighting. Such a good show.
Cant wait! Watching from Düssledorf Germany!
Watched this at the cinema and live :)
Getting excited for Thursday

Airing vitriol at folks like Kristian Lavercombe who's racked up 2000 appearances across 5? roles in this show!

I missed it. Will the full version go up onto TH-cam?
could you let me know if you find it?
There is literally already a full official version from like 2015 with almost the exact same cast
I'm also looking for the 2021 version
I want to see the current version as well. The cast is the same as 2031

Why? Isn’t this a US production ?

Saw this live, better live than filmed haha
I LOVE THIS
Do they know the Madison?
prefer the 2015 one

@@spinelspinel9361 what was the stage actors name who played Frank n furter when you saw it?
Sorry, I prefer the early 2000s version with Tom Hewitt or the movie. Riff Raffs voice was too high for me, and it seemed too sped up and rushed.
Is this competing with Sweeney Todd for amount of filmed productions or something?
Cast?
Riff Raff - kristian lavercombe
Magenta - suzie mcadam
Frank n furter - Stephen webb
Brad - ore oduba
Janet - haley flaherty
Those are the only ones I know
SORRY as ,much as I love rocky horror Magenta was lacking something IMHO
Average at best.

Who the hell are these leads
All the leads got COVID so they had to be replaced for the show

Sadly, it’s become “Broadway-tized.” The lack of spoken parts eliminates the contrast when they sing. What next, the Disney version?
I think the original version so like the ones that are not filmed are the interactive ones, the recorded ones are for cinemas and could be brocasted on tv.
That’s maybe the case??? I don’t know though
I agree with you. They’re not grungey at all… it’s so clean and Broadwayesque….
they didn't even do the dance right.
@@jinge23 It's called choreography; it's allowed to change. Not everything has to be a replica of the movie.
@@amyleerae89 or infact the original stage show
Not a fan of Riff Raff here. I don't feel the singing by him matches the music at all.
He sounds like SpongeBob

I like camp but he is overacting here and yes i have watched and yelled at the screen a few times. Remember always follow the bouncing thumb.

That’s because most of the lead actors were down with Covid the day before, so they had to rearrange almost the entire cast
8 people in the cast of 13 caught covid the day before this performance 5 of which being principle parts so it was all thrown together last minute

Not even close to being as good as the movie.
I hated every minute of this... very unfortunate.
I stopped watching after Richard O’Brien left.
That was in like the 1970s or early 80s so you must of not seen this for a long time
