John C Bradley I liked Battlefield 3 more simply because they didn't nerf everything into the ground. Jets could be used by a lot more people since their cannons could actually destroy an enemy jet without pinpoint precise aim.
Jets were my only weakness in BF3, but after watching several of your videos (and not even the tutorials), I swear I've become far better overnight. It's your control of the jets that impresses me the most. Never a moment where you seem indecisive or out of control. I've learned tons just watching your jet piloting. As a console dude, (wish I had money for a pc) the tactics still apply, but you don't have the same control. Doesn't matter tho, everyone is the same situation. Great work and thanks
You are right! It's nicknamed "tank destroyer" and should be used to light the entire ground on fire. But the enemy jets should ALWAYS be the main focus for any jet in this game, because a jet is the best and fastest way to kill another jet.
I only use Guided Shells on PS3, because on console, for some reason you can't see spotted infantry far away like on PC. The little red dot over their head doesn't appear until you get really close, but when looking through the camera that fires the guided shell it shows spotted infantry. It's just like having binoculars, exept you also can fire a missle out of it.
In this video I fly Frogfoot, same as A10. Not sure which is Flanker videos, I don't categorize them like that - but Flanker isn't that different from F18, it only brakes a little heavier and is bigger, therefore can feel less maneuverable.
I fly mouse and keyboard, and that's what I suggest everyone starts with =) Go default controls with Mouse+KB and practice that for 1-2 weeks and see how it feels, then you can decide if you wanna try something else or keep going. There are no advantages to joysticks, other than the more "natural" feeling; you can do all the same stuff with Mouse+KB. It's all about personal preference

For example if you wanna switch from turning left to turning right, you can do that in no time on a keyboard, but on a controller you have to move the stick from left to right. Doesn't sound like alot of time but in dogfights every splitsecond counts.

Yes in a rush jet ALL you really need is the machine gun, for enemy jets, choppers, tanks and infantries. But I toyed around with guided missiles a bit to mix it up, but I don't like them that much =( I never get kills with it
Well the extinguisher works for me. If it's from ground missiles I'm far away before he can look on again. If it's another jet, I'm in a turn fight with him before he can gain sights of me again. If it's from the jet's minigun I also get into a turn fight and repair. So it works for me. It usually takes 2 enemy dedicated and intuitive jet pilots to bring me down. Or just a damn effective and accurate minigun burst before I can do anything to counter.

I have no idea, but I always play Claw on console cause it gives you much more movement freedom (jump, move and aim at the same time for example), which is crucial to my playstyle :D
Bind "pitch up" to the keyboard so you don't have to drag around your mouse like a maniac =) I only use mouse for rolling and aiming, while dogfighting I hold down pitch up no keyboard

I fly on PS3 and the two analogue sticks make it easier to combine a lot of turns without running out of space like Mouse. I haven't tried flying on PC but have seen a lot of comments complaining about the Mouse sensitivity. If one can set up very good locations on important jet keys on keyboard I suppose it becomes easier. Anyways, for a newbie, I believe flying on consoles makes it easier to learn.It really depends on practice regardless how easy it might seem in one platform.
I heard that if you were riding in a helicopter, the jets mainly go for their own and shouldn't be a problem, but they can lock on if they want to so don't worry. You just shoot at everything thats on your screen and destroy it.
Nice and smooth flying :) Looks pretty much like my style, the only thing I'm really doing diffrent is my way to engage ground targets (vehicles from an higher angle, always using the JDAM's camera to spot infantry and then take it out) But youre really good :) And I just watched the "worlds 2nd best jet pilot (2nd highest killcount) flying. he sucks.

How about avoiding missles and lock on? I've playd against people with extinguisher, it didn't work out for them, they would repair their vehicle, but then I'd just disable them again, and since extinguisher takes 20 or so seconds to recharge they were screwed.
I'm not sure your program can record full screen 3d applications (games). I have never heard of it before, I could be wrong. But I recommend a real computer game recorder like Fraps
Also more time-effective, though the whole point in him ejecting was his refusal to give Chris the kill. I've had a chopper pilot flat-out suicide in the pilot seat before I finished gunning him down.
The end of this video just shows how overpowered Stingers are. 81% damage in a single blow? Ridiculous. Basically kills the effectiveness of the Extinguisher when one of those locks onto you after taking minor damage beforehand. Great flying as usual, though based on some of your turns there's still a bit of fine-tuning you could do in a Rush jet. :D
i have but it doesn't work for me. i can't edit the footage in any of my programs =( and playclaw has one feature i really like that no other recorders has, so i'ms ticking with it for a while
What do you mean you can't record? Is it lagging too much? Maybe your computer is getting a bit on the old side, then =( I'm playing on a laptop but I still manage to play when recording. I use Playclaw to record, out of all programs I've tried I feel it's the best one for me

I consider myself an OK jet pilot, but everytime i see some amazing gameplay (yours is the best i've seen) people are always using afterburners to turn out of corners. I was just wondering what the effect of this is and will it make me a better pilot overall? Sweet gameplay btw!
yo chris, i´m very excited for your next tutorial, i hope you get to the more advanced stuff, i can fly, but i can´t dogfight,atleast not against halfway decent players. And i´ve got a problem :stingers and heatseakers are op in my mind, when im in the viper, most of the pilots have no chance, 1 heatseaker, wait till he flaires, the next one and the whole game again, then he is disabled, or he comes right at me and his flaires don´t do anything. Wanna hear your opinions. BTW : love your videos.
If you want more freedom of movement with out using that awkward way of holding your controller then you should check out a Scuf Gaming Controller, it gives you paddles on the back which you can assign any button to, you should check them out (tbh all controllers should have buttons/paddles on the back these days, can give you depending on the set up 50% to 100% more control)
I have watched so many of your videos and while I've gotten a lot better with the jet because of them, I cannot for the life of me figure out how you spot ground targets so well. Especially players on foot. Fun to watch though!
It's all about aiming =) I turn fast by controlling my jets speed. I fly over an area and spam Q where I know there are enemies, then I come down upon them with good aim. It's easy as pie. Please watch my tutorials if you wanna learn how to use the jet effectively

So basically now Each time you upload a video I get an email and I scramble to see what is next :-) I see some of you older videos in 1080p have a nice color to them did you adjust your color settings for those vids?
It's what you get used to. I am PS3 player but when I tried BF3 on my friend's PC, I couldn't aim to save my life. I had like K0D7 score before the said friend pushed me to a side and took over.
I don't remember what I did to the older videos, I'll have a look back at them after work =) But basically all of my videos have some sort of color correction on them - most of them are very subtle and impossible to detect without the original footage side-by-side, but a few have very strong gloomy-look (dark, very weak colors) and some are very happy looking (bright and colorful!) :D People have been asking if it is a mod I have - NO, it's just color correction in Sony Vegas :)
First off I think it's very fun to fly, so I tried to get a jet sometime in every round, and as always - practice makes perfect. At the moment I think I have 200 hours in jets, so that would be the reason ;)
Problem is though is to move the camera you have to use the left stick so I have to claw grip :/ Or that might be cus I use the flipped control setup (because its more natural), so I guess on the default setup its the left stick to look around is it?
Everyone sucks in the thing I think! The hover mode needs more power to be effective, you have to be level to stay at the same height, but that means your stationery and thus RPG fodder! :P I think you should try to do a few compilation videos with other TH-camrs who're also great pilots! :)

Cause I'm bored of always using rocket pods :D They're still the best choice, easy! But it's fun to try new stuff ,) and no, it still sucks. Takes forever to lock on, most of the times it missed for me, and when it hit it only disabled =(
Nice flying! You should really look into dog fighting tactics. I have seen shows on national geographic that can really help if you are pro at flying but want to expand the way you fly to the ultimate. I know BF3 ain't realistic flying but some can still be used. And you should use extinguisher! It is the only thing that safeguard you against any form of damage! Learn to use it and you won't die!
Can you please do some F35 gameplay? I've recently bought b2k and needless to say, I suck with it :P It seems impossible to evade the enemy flanker, and the hover seems difficult to use effectively!

One of my favourite things in BF3 was getting in a tank with my mate and using the 3rd seat / Javelin combo to take down anything in the sky :D

did you know that when in bf3 you go too high it sometimes stalls that is no accident it actually is supposed to happen.
those guided missiles sometimes aren't fast enough sometimes.... but worth the hit

Cause Guided Missile is fun to try out sometimes. After 40 000 kills jets in public games get kinda boring =) Dogfighting is the only thing that's fun

I would hate and love playing with this guy cuz he really amazing what's sad I don't think he plays no more :(

Can you please do some F35 gameplay? I've recently bought b2k and needless to say, I suck with it :P It seems impossible to evade the enemy flanker, and the hover seems difficult to use effectively!
No, with them you only get rid of missiles locked on you. With ECM jammer you are invisible on air radar for 3 seconds if they did not change this ;)
oh wow men, youre sick :) if i could be as half as good like you on my ps3, i wont do anything else than flying the jet :D do you use your mouse to aim with the jet or completly keyboard??
