    My parents worked incredibly hard so they could put me and my sisters through college debt free. Now I’m 22 in graduate school to be a special education teacher living with my parents to save up and not throw my money away in rent. All my friends are shocked that I’d prefer to live at home and not move out, but all of them are barely getting by because rent is unbelievable. I saved up to pay for grad school and have invested what’s left so in the future I can buy a house. I got 2 job offers with great pay for a first year special elementary teacher and haven’t even graduated with my masters yet. I 100% agree with everything you said. Love your channel, thank you!

      I know being a teacher I’ll never be rich, but I’ll be comfortable and if I’m smart with my money I’ll be fine. I’m doing what I love and making a difference in these kids lives, that’s what matters to me. I’d love for you to maybe make a video about investing and any advice you’d have.

    My mother’s father had a saying of “I should have been born rich instead of beautiful” lol idk why that came to my mind but I always thought it silly.
    But thank you for another inspirational/motivational video and all the tingles!

    In a capitalist society, the notion of "just work harder" oversimplifies the complexities individuals face. It ignores systemic barriers like unequal access to resources, education, and opportunities. Factors like socioeconomic background, discrimination, and systemic biases heavily impact one's ability to succeed despite hard work. Additionally, the concept dismisses the importance of a fair and supportive system that enables everyone to thrive, not just those with certain privileges or advantages. Therefore, suggesting that success is solely a result of working harder disregards the structural inequalities deeply embedded within a capitalist framework.

      But if you never work you’ll never get anywhere so what’s your point?

    • @lollol-if3fm
      @lollol-if3fm 7 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      There should be room for both.
      You’re right that systemic issues hold us back and that systemic solutions are required. However, that doesn’t easily translate to action for the oppressed individual who aims to improve their comfort and security.
      That’s not to say that knowledge of systemic issues isn’t important. But it can at times be a disempowering thing to dwell on.

      There are countless examples of the "oppressed" succeeding in spite of these "systemic barriers." I think the best example is Nigerian Immigrants. They make more money per capita than the average white person. They come here without the preconceived 'oppressed" mindset. They work hard and they succeed. Sadly, preaching this "systemic barrier" stuff is just keeping people down. Give people an excuse for why they aren't making it and they will wrap themselves up in it like a blanket and live there for eternity and never experience true life.
