I personally think that the reason Alesso isn't himself anymore is because of contract he signed with a record label (can't remember which label), where i guess he's to make certain sounds (mainstream) with mostlikely unkown artists in exchange for more marketing, shows and fame. Just my view of what could be going on with him. I hope the very best for him

He’s playing at the main stage, so it’s a massive audience with different taste of EDM type, he gotta mix it up and not just play Progressive. This sets suits the occasion perfectly. His 2nd weekend set indoor on the other hand, he plays pure Progressive House which is for true Alesso fans.
Its funny cause he said he in an interview that he doesn't like playing his same old songs and that he wants to try new genres and hit a different style. Although it may seem like he doesn't enjoy it, he is having a better time than playing his older and more popular songs.
