If a top PL manager made similar utterances, the likes of Sky Sports would have a field day, dissecting and critiquing every word said and claiming the manager has "lost the plot." What's worse is that rivals would then chime in to ridicule said manager.

Absolutely well said Dean. That’s exactly the Corinthians way, win lose or draw the fans sing, get behind and celebrate their teams men and women in all sports. Another example, we just saw the greatest sporting event ever at the Paralympics. The Parisians and the supporters from all over the world created the best atmosphere for all athletes involved. The French didn’t care whether or not their athletes medaled, they still partied and made one almighty noise with songs, chants and celebration for everyone that competed.
