Unpopulated opinion, but i think "never gonna run around" arc was the best so far. There isn't much character development here, but the emotional display just feels so natural. Its like the viewers can actually relate to the character's emotions, especially "rick". He's definitely the best character.

My biggest regret here is I never recorded my niece's reaction. Listening to this again, this could also be a great OP for an Alternate History/Universe otome game where all the main characters the player interacts with are some of the most famous male hitmakers of the 80s and/or 90s. While Rick Astley would feature prominently, I can see Hall & Oates, Michael Jackson, Prince, and Freddie Mercury to begin with as the main cast as well.
A cultured friend of mine sent this video to me, not a single regret after clicking this video. If I get rickrolled with this video, I won’t even be mad. It will simply give me an excuse to listen to this song countless of times! I would love to see a full version of this masterpiece someday!
It's likely not gonna happen, the instrumental used is only 2:09, they originally did the whole song but the beat just isn't there to do the rest, it's a shame but we still have a damn good song.
In my opinion this is one of the rare occasion where the anime was better than the manga because the manga can’t replicate the absolute banger of a soundtrack, musical performances and visual representation that the anime pulls off beautifully. Although you can make arguments that the character development is more emotional in the manga I believe that the anime still executes it very well. The animation, music, characters, plot and everything else are 10/10. Highly recommend reading and watching if you can do both.
one thing i dont like about the anime is how rick wasn’t even animated to be dancing, they really gave no budget to animating the dance, at least the manga had motion picture
This type of rickroll never hurt people because most of the times when people get rickrolled, they get mad but when they got rickrolled first and then go through another level. They never have any complaint anymore.

I have the plot right here: it’s about Rick astley as a high schooler and he’s very drawn to music. But no one will support him. He’ll keep on practicing until he can be on his dream talent show. Musical showdown and while to complete his goals he meets friends along the way and more people start to support him. There ya go. EDIT: the girl is one of the characters that Rick Astley meets along the way. Also we will only make sub episodes. JUST KIDDING we will make the sub episodes first then the dub episodes last. Because dub just ruins the anime. But this is my opinion don’t hate on me. I don't understand why they copied it anyway since it just makes it harder to remember since there's so many (prob 50,000 kanji, apparently, & even my grandpa can't use them all to make his sentences grammatically correct.), I'm just assuming they either did it for aesthetic, some procrastinator thought it would make writing easier/shorter or someone sold it to them as an "original alphabet" for quick moneys. Either way, not cool ancestors, not cool..

You know, this is a very good take on an anime opening! It's got classic piano, electric guitar, good drums and vocals. Only thing it's missing is maybe some violin, otherwise spot on!

My favourite scene was when Rick uses his ultimate for the first time "Never Gonna Give You Up Cannon" and sends the guy flying into space. It was so good.
i loved this moment but i preferred s2 when they brought out the never gonna let you down arc. that one scene where he reunites with his old master to prove his worth was so good. brought a tear to my eye.

Listening to this again, this could also be a great OP for an Alternate History/Universe otome game where all the main characters the player interacts with are some of the most famous male hitmakers of the 80s and/or 90s. In my opinion this is one of the rare occasion where the anime was better than the manga because the manga can’t replicate the absolute banger of a soundtrack, musical performances and visual representation that the anime pulls off beautifully. Although you can make arguments that the character development is more emotional in the manga I believe that the anime still executes it very well. The animation, music, characters, plot and everything else are 10/10. Highly recommend reading and watching if you can do both.

I have the plot right here: it’s about Rick astley as a high schooler and he’s very drawn to music. But no one will support him. He’ll keep on practicing until he can be on his dream talent show. Musical showdown and while to complete his goals he meets friends along the way and more people start to support him. There ya go. EDIT: the girl is one of the characters that Rick Astley meets along the way. Also we will only make sub episodes. JUST KIDDING we will make the sub episodes first then the dub episodes last. Because dub just ruins the anime. But this is my opinion don’t hate on me. I don't understand why they copied it anyway since it just makes it harder to remember since there's so many (prob 50,000 kanji, apparently, & even my grandpa can't use them all to make his sentences grammatically correct.), I'm just assuming they either did it for aesthetic, some procrastinator thought it would make writing easier/shorter or someone sold it to them as an "original alphabet" for quick moneys. Either way, not cool ancestors, not cool..
