Alexander Scriabin's Nocturne op. 9 no. 2 features this week's piano video.
Written in 1891, as a consequence of a right hand injury due to heavy practicing of Liszt’s Réminiscences de Don Juan and Balakiriev's Islamey, Scriabin composed Prelude and Nocturne Op. 9. His style was still heavily influenced by Chopin, still these two works showcase exceptional talent for melody and harmony.
