Tried the version of the darce in this video tonight and subbed like 3 people with it...it's easy to transition to from side control too when the person on bottom is trying to push you off and extends their arm a little. Can't wait to try the Peruvian necktie next time...thanks for the video!
Eli. You have no idea how happy this video makes me. There a couple guys at my place that always go turtle on me. And I have the hardest time defeating it. Thanks so much.
Hey Eli and Drew, I appreciate the small details in that Darce choke. It gives a T-rex armed dude like me a shot at sinking this choke on a larger necked person. Mahalos from Utah!!!
Exactly what I wanted to learn after Misha Cirkunov used the Peruvian neck tie choke against Jimmy Crute though Jimmy went belly up Misha held on to it and drived his hips into it to put more pressure...!!!
That is so badass. I can't get enough of these tutorials. Please tell me that tenth planet decatur shirt is from Decatur alabama. That's only like an hour from where I live
Ah I'm so mad at myself. I tried both of these tonight and botched them horribly. Threw up the opposite leg first on the Peruvian Necktie and my Darce wasn't near deep enough, though I didn't use the dog collar grip when shooting up the bicep.
Damnn bruhhh your explication about how to do a Peruvian necktie it's really understandable and I think doing a Peruvian necktie it's really nasty nasty choke
So I'm mainly a no gi guy and I sometimes get the cruxifix from standing when I fail to sprawl and they get my leg right? And I figured if the guy had a gi on I could probably finish. What do you think of a bow and arrow type lapel choke from cruxifix. Like one handed? So the other hand can hold the arm? Kind of loop your elbow around the head while grabbing the lapel? Just a thought. Tell me what you think man! I'm not familar with gi lol. .

Maybe...but I have seen several versions of that choke, or called that choke, where some look like a Peruvian but many look like a crucifix or bow and arrow. Hard to tell without knowing the specific intentions of that choke.
@@KnightJiuJitsu Ok then, but some video said that it was Jigoku, everyone had different insight that kind of choke. This is good explanation without the Gi, I usually doing it with the gi.

As a classically trained chess player, I'm amazed how much this looks like chess...it's simple, "If/Then" reasoning...
Exactly like that. I wish I were better at chess because I think it would help my Jiu-Jitsu

I remember when I was taught this my first 6 months of BJJ. I’m a short guy so the Peruvian became my all time favorite choke! Great tips btw!!
Yeah I really like the no gi stuff
And here ive been trying to just use my upper body all the time when theres this amazing way to use my entire body.
I must try this.

On the Peruvian necktie When locking up the grip, which hand grabs which?
It can be different configurations, but I tend to prefer an S-grip with my front hand against the throat almost like a guillotine.

I'm peruvian and i didn't know till now about the Peruvian Necktie existence 😂😂 no body here knows it, why it would be called like that?
The guy who made this choke popular was named Tony DeSousa and he was Peruvian.

why for the love of god is BJJ called "Jiu-Jitsu "? it seems completely unlike the Jiu-Jitsu I train, typical or any typical asian martial arts.
actually jiu jitsu is exactly kosen jūdo....do your homework.
