IDUMBHAN HILLS | PALANI | A LITTLE BIT OF US

We happened to know about this hills opposite to the iconic Palani Hills and could visit the Idumbhan Kovil and offer our prayers. Its said that before offering prayers to Lord muruga, devotees are requested to offer prayers to Idumban swami here. The Temple is situated 540 steps above the foothills of palani in the left side .It is believed that Idumban temple was situated in the palani hill some 2000 years ago..The idol is 13 feet tall carrying the kavadi. The devotees carrying kavadi usually place the kavadi in Idumban temple before going to Palani temple.
