The fact that when he talks about Urgot he says how interested he is still in talking about that topic in Zaun, and that it wasn't the time yet, and when he talks about Zeri he says that the idea of telling something with Zeri and Ekko is something that has gone from his mind. It gives me hope that in the future we could still see that setting, see some characters again (including Ekko, Vi and Cait) and many other new ones that we haven't seen in Arcane yet.
Seriously, how did so many people think hextech will be gone? Imagine telling society after 30 years of using it that electricity is now forbidden because of "bad demons" or smth. As if any1 would actually stop using it.
Hextech is basically the equivalent of nuclear energy in our world. Nuclear causes some trouble, but it still doesn't stop us from continues using it. We just need to put some constrain and more safely measure on it. Same thing for Hextech, restrict the use of Hextech with any shimmer relate and put more safely measure on it.
Hey Necrit, idk if that's actually an intended easter egg. But my head cannon is that in the alternate world of episode 7, Piltover & Zaun are more peaceful and united mostly because Heimerdingger was thrown back in time, and he could fix his mistakes while running the Council. This makes quite a lot of sense since his whole arc from season 1 act 3 + season 2 act 1 was about him seeing & experiencing the way of life of the people in Zaun.
our heimerdinger was only there for about 3 years though, so i'm not sure how much he could have affected in that time. i definitely think he helped powder and ekko's group in particular get closer to piltover by visiting them once he showed up
I think the implication in the better timeline was violet's death leading to vander and silco reconciling leading to no more shimmer from silco and vander's vision thriving in zaun and the possibility of the two sides working together afterwards
@@aurumludum3695I’m pretty sure Ekko asked “when did you get here” and he responded with over a thousand or so years ago. And he was “starting to believe that Ekko wouldn’t show up.”

I am honestly surprised there wasnt mention of this. But there was that one powerful scene of people finally crossing the bridge to Steb. For the first time, after all the blood that had been spilled on that bridge. They were able to cross it without a single weapon raised.
Caitlin in the final scenes finds the blueprints for the area Jinx "died in", revealing a couple chambers she could've escaped through. Plus, the golden rule of thumb is that if you don't see a dead body, they're not dead.
Its how my best mate ended up getting his current job, he was it the lan centre whilst waiting for his interview and the guy who was meant to be interviewing him was next to him Lucky shit
@-Adam.- there was a comment about a scene being cut out (Spoilers ahead) Episode's 8 sex scene of Caitlyn and vi was supposed to be longer, and right now the only way to access it would be to search for some employees hardrives, employees who are french.
Yeah so: 1. Jinx is alive, you can see her use shimmer speed to escape the explosion and they keep wink winking even after that she made it. 2. Warwick was all but invincible, seeing Jinx spray him with gatling gun fire just for them to bounce off, if Isha’s 3 gem pistol shot didn’t kill him then, one grenade sure won’t now. 3. Viktor and Jayce just vanished 4. Heimerdinger just vanished 5. Ambessa is wrapped up in magic stuff, so while she did seem to die on-screen she could probably be resurrected in some form considering she literally just got introduced as a champion in the game. As for the future, obviously there are indications of what is to come. 1. They literally just showed us Orianna for a couple seconds, they won’t just leave it at that forever. 2. Warwick was shown to actually regain some primal emotion after his connection to Viktor was severed, meaning he’s going to be wrestling with his beastly and human sides. 3. Jinx is implied to leave Zaun on that airship, meaning she’ll pop up elsewhere in someone else’s spinoff 4. Vi and Caitlyn are basically in their League positions now, they probably won’t do a whole lot else with those two (not they won’t be doing a whole lot else together ifuknowwhatImean) 5. Obviously Mel is being set up for a spinoff 6. Viktor and Jayce will show up elsewhere in some way. 7. Heimer just respawned I think, so Yordle spinoff? Idk what they’ll do with him. Point being that I’m not even sure they’re done with Piltover and Zaun yet, considering they’ve left open several loose threads and not even introduced some of the most significant Zaun and Piltover champions from the game. The Arcane-verse is so not done.
Yea, there are too many loose ends and i expect a lot of references to P&Z characters and events in the other shows. And maybe some episodes of the spin-offs could take place in P&Z.
I doubt anyone but a runemage can revert the transformation from organic beast to homunculi metal puppet. He turned into a mini galio & from what we seen their insides are inorganic besides the void like shells inside on top of the golden/grey fluids being their blood/fluids to move. Also the person in the interview said there will be no more Warwick this is Vander & with Victor being the first. They will retroactively rework all the visuals for the ingame champions to realign with the new cannon. Runemage Victor is the new cannon & magic golem Vander will replace Warwick. If we like it or not they have been given the go from Riot HQ.
Timebomb MUST go on. Ekko can be so good for Jinxs mentality. He was the only one that can talk her off the ledge. They deserve eachother. :) I have faith theyll meet again
They most likely did. Ekko only burns one piece of paper at the mourning ceremony, meaning Jinx likely let him know that she was alive and potentially even decided to say goodbye.
@duyanhduong3975 No anyone who knows what a yordle is which everyone pretty much does because they are literally everywhere knows that Yordles respawn back at bandle city. He believes jinx is dead
It isn’t unreasonable for Ekko to mourn Heimer. Yes, yordles are difficult to kill, but they’re not immortal. Heimer may have respawned in Bandle City, but that is one of the best case scenarios. Perhaps the arcane destroyed his spirit, or perhaps his consciousness was absorbed into the arcane. Heimer could be alive, fully dead, or somewhere in between. We, like Ekko, have no way of knowing. Thus, it seems more likely that the slip was for Heimer since out of the two people Ekko “lost”, one can confirm her survival and the other can’t.
Geez guys maybe he’s freaking excited to be there with a dude he admires just a thought, also how is he not listening when he continues to ask questions that are with the added context he is being provided fym

Guy is clearly PR trained. He knows if he says anything of substance it could conflict with future content releases. Look what they didt with the interview at the end of Arcane 1. They talked about how the rune mage in kid Jayce flashback was Rzye pre-blue transformation. So either they lied on purpose for PR reasons back then or Victor being a interdimensional-multiverse traveler was a retcon that they came up with during development. When asked about Raum he almost started stuttering. Cleary he tried his hardest to think about how she should respond if at all.
@@Kazuhiro-i Yeah and what i learned over the years you dont take PR guys at PR event at face value. At the end of Arcane one the PR guy said the rune mage in the beginning was Rzye pre-blue. Now the new truth is it was Victor all along. Could it have been planned from the get go? Certainly. Does that mean the PR guy from Arcane 1 lied? Possible. Regardless if they lied or retconned the time travel aspect of Victor being the cincematic multiverse guy of their new universe. It wont change they fact that until things happens on screen they can tell us any fairytale they want. That was PR is all about. Which is why i said the guy knows what he is doing. He has the media training to tip toe around his NDA on top of giving glimpses of creative insight. Him dodging questions for example by saying "its to early at this point with the finale release"=PR lingo for saying he cant tell anything due NDA until the release of the current behind closed doors product which is Noxus.
@@tongduy2017 And as Linke said in the past. Any and all PR event he is send to get a small rundown on what they can and cannot say. You think Riot sends any of their people to major PR events withouth any indicators or bullet points as to what they should do? Plus the person in the interview himself in the past talked about his media training.
I was absolutely fine with Warwicks take 4-6 & understood the reason of why they took that path, but I will never understand the final episode where they made him a emotionless metal monster instead of the full wolf… if they were just going to have the character be that robotic (emotionally) they could’ve at least had him be the full wolf. No point having a Vander/Wolfman if he was gonna be that stiff. My only real issue with the finale.
Singed injected Vander with a serum that would destroy his humanity. At this point it would only have made sense for him to fully become Warwick. Unleash him as a weapon against the Piltovans. Cool, I like it. The direction they went with instead was incredibly questionable.
@@H25Invicta how? for the finale it made sense that Viktor would incorporate him into his army, now that the Hexcore influence is removed, and most traces of Vander snuffed out (candle symbolism) all that's left is Warwick,
Felt exactly the same, especially given how many great redesigns this show had, that final Warwick form felt so pointless, and as you said, it could definitely have been the full wolf version while still making sense to the storyline
@@Omnipotentmonkey I think the main problem is that now that warwick is this sort of machine beast, all of his other lore, visuals and voice lines make no sense.
Theory for the following of arcane in noxus : For me, we’ll follow Mel on the side of Noxus, where she’ll encounter Swain, who will manipulate or influence her with the rune he retrieved with his raven. For me, the rune contains Jayce and Viktor. They are not dead.
Most likely Jayce and Viktor went into the void. There was one guy saying that the corrupted wild rune Viktor had was the opposite of what Ekko made, that's why they annihilated each other physically, and then Jayce gave his rune to Viktor which annihilated their apparition form in the astral plane (same rune Ekko used). So they must likely went into the void. The corrupted hexcore was void like. It would make sense that the normal stable hexcore derives its energy from the void in a stable way, while the corrupted hexcore corrupts everything as it is unstable void energy.
Sevika needs to be explored more! She didn’t have any dialogue after episode 4 and they made us think she was gonna have a big role in act 3 with that poster. There is so much to do with her story!
Or Swain's story. Ionia invasion, revolution, establishment of Trifaric as the council. I can imagine Jericho Swain put Mel Medrada as the Guile in Trifaric because Mel is not a Black Rose supporter.
I would LOVE an anthology series of 40 or so minute episodes (or three episode arcs) for some of the champions that might not have enough impact for a larger show. i.e. 40min of the Freljord gods or the sealing of Lissandra, or an adventure in Ixtal with Nid or Neeko. Something like Star Wars: Visions.
I think lissandra show will be awesome for her acts affects everyone, whole freljord, nunu and willump, icathia, darkin, now even arcane. They can create a show to tie them all and move lissandra lore forward. But wont make sense for her arc is the end of the universe if they gonna do it, it will be the last project at least
@@AzizSketchesnunu should be the main character in the freljord show. Hes impartial and doesnt pick sides, Hes a neutral party and could, theoretically, interact with all freljord factions. Remember, he lived in a town under Frost guard rule, but they werent evil or anything, he just decided to leave
I think the problem with this is the cost. Like, it cost an insane amount to build a world, characters etc.. Building everything for 40 minutes is just not enough time. The reason arcane was great is that writers, animators, musicians etc. gave time to understand that universe, characters. But that wont happen for a 40 minute show.
I have a HORRIBLE and LIKELY theory. People have been wondering why Ekko and Heimedinger ended up in the same alternate reality, while Jayce didn't. But didn't he ? We know that Ekko and Heimedinger ended up in the same reality, but at a DIFFERENT time; the parcimony principe would hence push to the conclusion that Jayce had arrived in the same reality, at a different time; probably in the future (considering that there Viktor seems quite old). But then, if Jayce didn't invent Hextech in said reality (probably his work being stopped by the death of Vi), how would the world end like that? Well, Ekko has shown to Powder how she can use the cristals she has kept since she was a child...
yeah but this cannot be, because in the top of the hexgates there was jayce's body with his hammer, and in powder universe jayce probably commited suicide
@@santinoghirardi8737 We have no information about what happened to Jayce. He probably wouldn't have bragged about magic during the trial (breaking the ethos is a terminal offense which led to him being banned from the university). Anyway, between Jayce going to another dimension "for reason" and the butterfly effect in this dimension leading to a different story for him, I feel that the simplest solution is that Jayce didn't invent hexteck originately, but would join in later, possibily with Viktor when Powder would start making strides. Of course this is pure speculation, but once more, imagining that the two guys most in love with the idea of hexteck would jump onboard as soon as it appears is plausible, and logically more simple than the idea that in this infinite multiverse, 2 of the travellers would end up in the same place and not the third, I would say all or none would be more logical.
@@MN-vz8qm Well, if he was about to kill himself over not being able to pursue his dream, I believe being charged for manslaughter and being exiled from Piltover entirely would've made him want to kill himself even more.
@justinjakeashton i dont think he would have been exiled. If someone introcuces himself into your lab and blows himself in it, it is bad sure, but not crimunal. What made things terrible for him is that magic is forbidden under the penalty of exile, and he couldnt help himself but brag about magic.
I just wanna say, as a gay guy myself, I'm very glad they committed to the bromance and did not get romantic with Jayce and Viktor. Part of the problem with men in society is that they are scared to be seen as gay and avoid showing emotion or affection in any way. Letting all men be emotional or show friendly intimacy would do wonders for all men, including gay men. Thank you for representing male friendship in such a beautiful way.
I like that in the final product it can be up to interpretation since is not the focus of the story, but sadly, I think making them something other than friends in the show would've been controvertial, even tho is just a fantasy world with hot made up characters. I believe another part of the problem with men is that a lot of them think being gay or bi is a bad thing or even disgusting, that it makes you abnormal or less than others, they will reject their favorite male characters if they're sexuallity is "revealed" as non-straight. Its very sad that in the League's Universe there has always been an initial negative reaction with possible or confirmed male relationships, but when it comes to the 3 canonical lesbian couples in the game, no one cries.
@@raziel5835 They will push that aside. Don't worry. It sucks but a few more shows now that they have shown what they can do and it won't be a big deal when gay men show up.
@@tbobontiyu Yeah she should have had a better conclusion, they clearly didn’t have the time to explore her more but Honestly I think they did her fair by giving her a chair in the council she get now to represent Zaun which what she deserves since she worked hard to unite the people of Zaun. Just wished she had more screen time.
I know why they did warwick like that, It's for the normal people that don't play League. It is way more clear that he is Vander by having his facial features instead of straight wolf.
I mean, they called him Vander constantly so they didn’t need to go that far. But the characters have to be able to figure it out too before getting mauled so I don’t mind too much.
I understand why they did it, and it is slowly growing on me, though I do still prefer Wolf Warwick more, in my opinion. I realized that part of why I was so off put by it at first is because he reminds me a lot of a Bugbear from Dungeons and Dragons, but less Orange.
Nah. Warwick’s design at the end was ass. Act 2 was great. I loved the mid transformation. But what the actual FUCK was that in Act 3?? Disrespectful to us Warwick mains.
So... are Viktor and Jayce confirmed dead or not? In the netflix afterglow Christian seems to confirm that they died saying things like "they unfortunately disintegrated" "they faced the consequences it was unfortunately their end as well" and naming them where asked what death was the most surprising.... And here with Necrit he seems to hint at them being alive... I assume the netflix one was filmed way before and Necrit's just 3/4 days ago yet he never confirms their death here, which he could if it was supposed to be so obvious and confirmed in the afterglow. Not only that he answers that "it's too early" to say what Viktor is NOW which kinda hints at least at Viktor's survival (and possibly Jayce's too).... because if he was dead it would be no problem to say "Viktor is the guy who merged with the hexcore and died". So which is it? Why does more people focuses on some completely irrelevant issue of people having a head canon of a ship or not, and completely skipping over the issue whether they could survive or not? I wish they left it ambiguous instead of hinting at different scenarios in every single interview....
Update for those interested: On X responding to a person complaining about what was said about Jayce and Viktor's ending Christian said that many things in the afterglow were cut out of context and edited. Also Netflix didn't show him the final version. It is however unclear whether he meant that what he said about their ending was more ambiguous or whether it only changed the general tone of his statement. Necrit's interview doesn't have things removed out of context (I watched the entire stream and can confirm). So to summarize no concrete info yet. If anybody knows any information and would like to share, or even share their theories how those information from different interviews can be reconciled, I would be grateful ;)

Also people have been telling me in other comments that the afterglow despite being posted later was also filmed way before the Necrit's interview... Which makes it even more confusing because in that case there should be nothing stopping Christian from not confirming the same yet he seems to hints towards the opposite outcome... Anyway it looks like for now there is no definitive confirmation if either outcome. They could have died, lived or maybe their bodies disintegrated but spirits/souls are in this astral dimension... Everything is unfortunately very vague and statements look contradictory
The key thing here is that you don't want them to pile up the references and the characters in one series and force the events of the series to happen in order to fit more from the game. Doing that will make the universe feel smaller. They did a wonderful job with arcane, including side characters, more characters, character deaths, generational changes to characters/cities etc. and rationing their existing established characters. Keep this up pls.
Also. Since arcane was written before modern league lore, It means this was the original plan but they didnt want to spoil the plot. So they made the modern Lore so you get to know the characters first and get hyped.
@@DZatheus referencing is fine but doing it too much will just make the world smaller. when making a story you always need to leave some suspense to make it interesting or else the reader/audience will know too much that the story becomes bland
@@dedosdecenizaYeah! I think thats the reason Jinx and Vi's lore on release was... short and not really too..... like genuinely in the ingame lore we can't even say they're related lmao. I'm glad arcane wasn't afraid to do what they did in act 3.
Very valid point. I feel like also cramming something like warwicks transformation to in game warwick into arcane wouldve made it feel rushed and forced. Strong agree on the small universe comment, also.
Christian saying that he "lost" 9 years of his life is absolutely not true. Him and everyone that worked on Arcane, created a masterpiece that is one of the best if not the best animated shows yet! If they keep going and keep making the series out of passion, then without a doubt, they will go down as the GOATs of the league Fandom, who created something that is a beautiful homage to the game and the community itself.
I feel so bad because people were insulting him on twitter and calling him a nobody because he denied a ship being canon. Fandoms are the worst. Despite how executives messed their scheduling they delievered one of the greatest animated series.
League fandoms? Arcane was a good standalone thing but it's such a disappointment to the mega lore nerds (which I'm guilty of). They are retconning a lot of good champ's backstories going forward because of s2 ending. They were trying to flesh out the loose ends but ended up messing up the good lores. Legit have mixed feelings with this, but still a great show.
I agree with the lore change, I don't like it at all. But as a stand alone they did something very especial, especially the first season bc the second was messy. The problem is Riot wanting to canonize it even when that wasn't the intial plan.
I wish they would have asked : Is Isha is deaf or mute? Why did they decide to cut Jinx's hair? How long was Jayce in the AU? Why did they add color to Jinx's hallucinations? Did they always know how it would end? Are there champions they dont plan on making a story for? Will we see shimmer again? Why did they decide to have 3 episodes per act? Will all their future projects be animated? Why or why not? Any regrets? Will they ever make a movie (for any part of the LoL story)? What are they most proud of? If champions can die and new ones can be introduced, how will it affect the game? Is there lore they dont plan on changing? Is all Arcane magic and related things gold colored from now on? What made them put easter eggs in the opening song? Why more music and music videos in the show? Will future projects have the same format as Arcane? When will the next project be announced? What was the hardest episode to work on? Who was the hardest character to write? Did they consult a medical professional for Jinx?
Half of these is prolly explained by common sense or things they obviously don’t know yet Like no we all know not all magic is gonna be gold colored now since all non Mel Magic was a different color so far
Seeing the entire arcane twitter fandom go off on Christian Linke calling him homophobic because he said Jayce and Viktor have a bromance relationship canonically is so insane. Never have is seen more chronically online actions, but it’s twitter so I’m not surprised.
Seriously? Kinda sad that some people can't appreciate seeing close male friendships on screen. Just... why. Don't they get that I can hug my bros without being attracted to them, lol

42:00 I’m a gay man, and don’t get me wrong I love the idea of Jayce x Viktor and love fan art of it, but their relationship has just never felt romantic to me. Instead it has always felt like true brotherhood to me, they love each other deeply and have been there for each other in their darkest moment, they both matter so deeply to each other in a way that transcends romance. Its very much a Bucky + Steve, Kirk + Spock, etc. type relationship, they will never not be there for each other, and Jayce in the end realises how he pushed Viktor away and refused to do that again to him. Simplifying it to romantic robs the relationship of its weight and detracts from especially Jayce and Mel as characters. Mel means the world to Jayce, and there’s nothing wrong with that, especially when Mel is so awesome as a character (seriously, she better become a champion), but Viktor and Jayce are each other’s foundations, and Mel’s not thick, she gets that and is clearly comfortable with that, because it is a different kind of relationship. Viktor and Mel just strongly disagreed with each other on the future of hextech. Ultimately all forms of consensual love is valid and not worth more than another. On a different note, god I ship Scar (the chirean firelight) and Steb (the fish folk enforcer), different sides, similar position, both mysterious and hot.
That’s the thing though, AroAce people exist and can have deep non-platonic relationships and partnerships that don’t involve romance or sex. And even if they were going for “just platonic friends” they’ve ended up creating something much deeper since jayce and viktor are literally soulmates and life partners. And sure there’s no romance since it seems like Viktor is aroace but it’s so reductive for people to insist and get angry that it’s “just platonic friends” when their bond is so much deeper than that and can be interpreted differently. It’s honestly such a beautiful example of an aroace relationship and partnership, even if that was never the intention. And I don’t think it’s wrong for people to read into it since there was so much ambiguity and complexity and that shows great writing.
I really hope we get to see more of Ekko and Jinx/Powder in the future. Episode 7 left me broken, we got to see how happy they can be together but Ekko had to leave that universe behind and we also saw how he saved Jinx from blowing herself up. I can't think of anyone more suiting to Jinx than Ekko so I'm willing to see them together cause they both deserve to be happy!
hello mr. necrit, im aware this isn't in a professional interview and a lot of it is affected by the twitch chat. but, it wouldve be a pleasure to hear a real conversation and not just bombard mr. linke with question after question. for instance, he was about to dive into singed's psyche and character but was interrupted by a zeri question into a timebomb question out of nowhere. i understand that passion often overtakes us but it would be better next time to take time and really listen to mr. linke and take in what he has to say so us the audience can take it in too.
yeah cant really fault necrit for not being used to handling chat going 50x speed that he’s used to and also feeling responsible for getting people answers while everyone is an emotional mess…but it’s clear that singed and everything around that part of the show was meticulously crafted, i really wanted to hear more on the question about the science behind the life sustaining formula, orianna’s body material in our new arcane canon, etc. would have been good to have mods used to dealing w/ 20k+ viewer channels to filter stuff over so they could have a relaxed conversation…but like everything else riot does at least they did it even if not perfect.
@@red2someru yeah this isnt faulting mr. necrit or anything, twitch chat getting crazy and as a host per se in this case, mr. necrit is also kind of pressured by chat and he wanted to get a lot of ansewrs for us. so these suggestions are for the next time he has a guest of sorts in his streams.
@@HapPawhere Yeah, but that's exactly the problem with these type of interviews, sure, they are natural and its fun, but Christian is barely talking for more than 3 seconds without stopping to think if he actually can say it or not, or how to say it etc. it would have been better if necrit and him actually talked a bit more about topics and questions so he could think of what to say and what he is, and isn't allowed to say, and later maybe they could have done a quick chat questions part at the end.
thankyou!!! i feel like they should’ve waited with this interview. everyone has fresh opinions and i think nothing has really sunk in yet. i agree with your statement and i wish we could’ve gotten a version of this interview that was just more prepared
I think season 2 should have had 12 episodes. I understand animation is expensive, but Arcane could have been beyond legendary with those extra episodes.
I mean, any amount of extra episodes would be great, but they had to work with what they've got. Maybe they went a little overboard with the amount of storylines they could've cover in just two seasons, but it is what it is. Hopefully they will take this learning experience into the future shows.
Tbh, despite the fact that they're saying it's the most expensive animated show ever, it really feels like the decision to fit all those events in a single season was a cost saving measure. I can imagine that two $125-150kk season would still be more expensive than one for $250kk
@@tbobontiyu Literally, just one more episode set a year later to show us what happened to everyone. Like did Ekko find Jinx and make up, how is Sevika holding up in the council, what is the relationship between Zaun and Piltover etc. Such a missed opportunity to really seal the deal
Viktor was talking about humanity at the end of episode 6, and in episode 9, he talked about emotion clashing with reason. The very things that makes us human are the reasons of this chaos, sadly that's why the cycle of violence never stops. The thoughts of "what could have been" from the episode 7 was astonishing, also knowing that it was temporary was tragic and sad. I would've loved more episodes to take all the experiences in, we didn't get to see all the conclusions we wanted for the characters like Ekko and Powder, i give it that it was because of the budget limit, still, Arcane was an amazing experience that i will never forget.
You have no idea how happy I am to have Christian now be one of the more famous people internationally to hail from the general area where I was born (north-northern Germany, like properly up north) and seeing him be this successful and knowing he'll be involving in many more upcoming projects is making me so fucking happy you have no idea.
I thought i could bring an end to world suffering. But when every equation is solved all that remained are fields of dreamless solitude. There is no price to perfection only a end to pursuit. In all timelines, in all possibilities only you can show me this.""
@@sergioq94 Its not about the semantics of the word "perfection". He reached the perfection he defined for himself. The kind of perfection he could and wanted to reach: a world without the emotional and physical faults of humans. But he failed to see the downside of that.
I love how chill Christian is off script. He really knows when not to spill certain beans. I really love this casual setting as opposed to scripted or official interviews-just two guys chilling around!
I'm just glad they were pretty clear on Jinx still being alive. I didn't want an open ending for her, and her going off to another region could be great for future cameos etc. It also wouldn't have fit thematically imo, with forgiveness and moving on, breaking the cycle as it were, being such a central theme of the show.
@@JoeEver123 Not quite, a lot of the lore for Zaun took place circa the same time for a lot of champions Urgot, mundo, Zeri, glasc, Ekko, warwick, Camille and so on had stories where the interacted or were mentioned. The point i wanted to make is that history is being created by people and it will keep being made by different people. And that history is what in the end is gonna make them legends.
41:10 is a lie. geto/gojo situation; they can't commit to an MLM ship because it'd be much more heavily censored or criticized, and they knew caitvi was already pushing it in places like china that had to censor every scene where caitvi was on screen. if fortiche writers were let loose with arcane proper it would've been confirmed on screen swear to god, jayce/viktor did literally everything except kiss on screen
The dynamic between Jayce and Viktor was electrifying and their embrace in the second season was simmering with repressed desire. In the end, they were bound together for eternity The source material only hinted at the gay romance, because producers are inclined to play it "safe." It nonetheless provided a fertile ground for us to cultivate our own romantic interpretations, or to amplify the subterranean longings that lay dormant beneath the surface in fan edits/works
I really think that arcane season 2 was cool, but it was obviously too rushed narrative wise. They could have made 3 seasons with the amount of story they crammed into one season. Vi joining the enforcers and hunting jinx, vi/jinx hunting down warwick and warwick finding his humanity, viktor turning evil and trying to turn the whole world into his kingdom. Could have been all their own season and ham fisting them into one made for fun moments and cool little things but it really felt like LOOK AT THIS COOL THING, LOOK AT THIS OTHER UNRELATED COOL THING NOW THIS OTHER COOL THING. without a moment to sit in any of it and actually experience it in the same way we got to sit with season one. And the parts of the whole really suffered and i felt rushed through the season.
Same, but I think act 1 and 2 were actually pretty good. Cait went through really interesting character development in act 1, and the same with Jinx in act 2. They had perfectly set up a leader for an oppressive Piltover, and a broken idol for Zaun, and Vi in the middle, one of them her sister and the other her lover. I DO NOT KNOW WHY THEY ABANDONED THIS FOR SOME GOD VS EVERYONE STORY THAT WAS BUILT IN ONLY 2 EPISODES!!!!! Ekko saving Jinx could have meant so much more, she could have learned to accept that people look up to her, instead we get a cut to her just joining the big battle against evil god...
@@noah8162 They just started dropping plotlines in Act 2. Hell, I bet those 3 rando enforcers were meant to be more than just randos. But no, we get the timeline where someone who had the honor to wield a hextech weapon alongside a Kirraman gets 0 characterization and dialogue. No one ever even says his name.
Ngl I don't think the majority of people care about other locations in Runeterra after Arcane, Piltover and Zuan had endless potential. Simply put there wont be a more compelling character dynamic than what we where given with Vi, Jinx and Caitlyn.
The same rune that jayce got in this time line was the same, that ekko used for time travel, and jayce and Viktor used many of this rune in the last scene. They time traveled i think
20:09 So my guess here is the demon was originally working with Mordekaiser if I'm not mistaken. After his downfall it started working with Leblanc and she was the one that sent it to Swain when he was on the verge of death for some sort of a big plan.
Canonically, Raum is just sealed in the Immortal Bastion, not working for Mordekaiser or Leblanc. He got interested in Jericho Swain after he denounced a Black Rose plot to overthrow Boram Darkwill (the then Noxus Emperor) and contacted him years later when the Ionian invasion fucked up and Swain got crippled. There, he showed him all of Noxus' secrets (including Leblanc still being alive, to Swain's anger), and made a deal with him (a tiny bit later when Swain got back to Noxus). It's supposed to be a faustian deal, but swain being a tactician actually got one over Raum. Leblanc never sent Raum to Swain, actually I think she did not like that very much considering Raum's powers are supposed to be very desired for those knowing of his existence.
Hello fellow timebombers, if anyone has watched the full vid do you know when he mentions cut timebomb scenes? Particularly after ekko stops her killing herself and before they show up again at the end? I read a comment mentioning it but I can't find where they talk about this 😭

I actually love what he said about Viktor and Jayce. Those types of relationships that go beyond what's simple and understandable are my faaaavorite kind of dynamics.
Okay so if I understand how the lore behind Champs works, they aren’t all alive simultaneously in Runeterra. They have backstories, lives and deaths and as we see them in game is how they are at SOME POINT in the universe ?
precisely. wouldn't make sense for all of them to be living at the same time when it comes to creating a show. you'd never hear any back story. it would be no different than your annual league cinematic.
My takeaway was this: The versions of Jayce we play in league has his hammer, despite it being destroyed by the end of the series. From this I’ve inferred that the champions we play are snapshots from whenever they were at their peak. We play the versions that history remembers them. Thus they’re not all necessarily going to be alive at the same time, and plenty of champions could be past their prime whilst others are just starting their journeys.
What they did to Victor and Warwick is unforgiving. Warwick is now this humanoid faced werewolf that is made of metal essentially and Victor went from being a mechanicus inspired "technology is the final form of human evolution" to whatever the it is now. Mannnn...
9:05 I SINCERELY hope you're right with that. While the alternative WW designs from Arcane were cool, Warwick from the game is just SUCH A COOL DESIGN and I was practically frothing at the mouth to see my favorite champion fully animated and badass in HD and then I got-...awkward human face wolfman and then Weird White Messiah Wolfman Thing like they looked like cool designs yes, but to me they didnt feel like WARWICK. Especially given some of the promotional posters LITERALLY still showed him with the wolf face. Hoenstly, Warwick's design(s) was my one and only major complaint about Arcane that I wouldn't consider a nitpick. Almost every other design could still be recognizable as "this character" but in canon (Viktor, being the asu, being the only MAJOR exception), whereas Warwick literally looks like an alternate universe version of himself. ...also yes this is also because we don't have a lot of cool monster/beast/furry champions so I am 100% huffing that copium of not wanting to lose not only one of the few we have but my favorite.
I honestly loved that they did that to Caitlyn, since Ambessa told her about a 4th principle that was Sacrifice. She sacrificied her eye for what was the greater good at the moment. And I think that was an awesome redemption.
I find it hard to believe that Viktor never had any projects/inventions of his own in his own lab. Don’t think he would only work on Heimerdingers projects while his assistant. Would be nice to think that Blitzcrank was a project he never finished because he couldn’t make the final step of powering him up like he wished. This could be done with hextech but he threw all of his own projects aside to focus on hextech, and later, his own life. Would be nice if this was the case and someone in the future finds it and finishes it for him using hextech so there is somewhat a connection to Viktor. Alternatively I wouldn’t mind Blitzcrank being an Ekko invention in the future as well. So many ways to revive stories of future characters and not neglect them, yes they will change but some things were going to have to change. My only fear is, how long until they revisit Piltover and Zaun to see these characters and new stories come to fruition?
I must say, back in the day "shipping" meant you have your own fantasy, not - everybody must comply with your fantasy. Arcane fandom not being able to live with the fact that Jayce and Victors are just close friends and then calling the creator homophobic, is just sickening. Have any of you watched the show? Touch grass.
The biggest question is "Is there a common vision for what the future of the franchise holds?" Riot has a chance to replicate the magic of Marvel as long as they have one creative vision that guides their direction. If they scatter the plots then they will replicate phase 5. If they have a deliberate story, then they might become a Billion dollar studio in my humble opinion.
I'm pretty sure they put out a statement earlier on about specifically trying to steer away from the formulaic marvel crossover movie franchise formula, they want it to be special
@@voidrius A centralized road map is key. They won't share it for NDA reasons but a planned future will result in a version of Marvel 1-3 rather than a Rise of skywalker. If You can't understand that then you're cooked already.

Targon is territorial and religious, same as Ixtal, the void sucks ass and Bilgewater is the crossover paradise already so i dont think anyone will be mad about that.
Hats off to riot. They really raised the bar. Arcane awoke feelings I didnt know I had. I never cried in a movie/show ever. I’m so invested in these characters.
@@rvds2040 Riot is the company, not the people. Arcane would have never existed if not for creatives who did everything to make it work, despite executives at Riot games wanting the project canceled. Just like KDA, Riot forge games (which did eventually get cancelled). How many cool things do you think Riot is praised for, despite the actual artists and dev who actually created it getting fired because of Riot's awful management? Because there's *a lot*.
@@TajinQ yeah Riot management was originally so against any of the things you mentioned including Arcane if the small team of writers wasn’t pushing quite so hard for the series or didn’t get as positive of a response from the fandom riot would’ve just nipped the whole Arcane production in the bud. The real heroes for any risks riot ever took was the creative teams and individuals
@@TajinQ Bro you clearly watched Bridging the Rift but half it went out the other ear. Christian and the founders of Riot have a fantastic relationship. You have creatives for a reason, but creatives cant run the company alone. It is a business and business decisions are made based on outcome. They had every reason to make sure this was as perfect as possible. You think creatives who pour their hearts out on this project are offended by being associated with Riot? What a dream come true to work for a company like that. You don't know what you are talking bout
I believe every future show Riot makes will lead to Mordekaiser. I have no doubt in my mind. Noxus seems to be the big bad of all of these stories, slowly brewing up in the background. We now know Swain knows just about everything that has taken place thus far. I won’t be surprised if the next series takes place in an unrelated region like Freljord or Bilgewater but with hints of Noxus in the story, just like how Arcane was set up to be a Piltover-Zaun story only to contain large influences of Noxus throughout. Mordekaiser WILL be the big bad of Runeterra eventually. Ambessa was a villain to Piltover, Zaun, Mel, and the Black Rose all at once. This arc with Viktor, Jayce, and the Arcane felt like a warm-up. Viktor’s glorious evolution was a world-ending event and he could be reasoned with because of Jayce and Ekko’s actions, but Mordekaiser is a force that must be stopped at all times, no matter what. There is a reason Riot hasn’t revealed Leblanc as a character yet. Subtitles still call her ‘sorceress.’ She and the Black Rose will have many more future appearances, I am sure. Riot truly are gearing up for massive worldbuilding; many, many pieces are moving all at once and they know this. Arcane is gonna appear so small in the future once we have a catalog of League of Legends shows that connect all of those pieces. I am so very excited for what all of this means for the League canon!!
Or maybe, the story of Swain taking over Noxus. The timeline is kinda weird rn because with Singed not (yet) affiliated with Ionian massacre, it is apparently that Swain still not a grand general and Trifaric isn't established as the government. Problem is, Swain have Raum which means he is ready to taking over of Noxus.
I'm not sure. I dont remember if it was Christian or Alex who said it, but one of them said that they're not interested in doing "MCU stuff", or something along those lines. They don't wanna make a cinematic unverse that leads to a team up event. I dont know how wiil that play out in the future.
This is amazing, Christian seems like such a cool guy who just loves what he's doing and has a real love for the game and the lore. My favorite fact about him is that he's from Germany and was a bass player in a band called "Nevada Tan" back in the day. The band was a sort of "counter" to Tokio Hotel. And I listened to both :D
see the problem is you still connect jinx with who she was when she was younger. she is not powder. they're completely different personalities. reading this comment hurts more than anything that show presented.
@@80AM. She is different from the powder shown in the alternative world, but she still is the same person and isn't completely gone. Jynx is still powder, it's why she still cared for VI and Vander.

I got a question, why did you have to break my heart like that with Loris!? The third arrow was just delayed enough for me to go "phew he's aliv- NOOOOOO"
"It's strange that people say the only close relationship two men could have is to be a couple. Friendship was something that was important for us to explore" (41:27) That's not what we're saying, we're saying men can be more than "just friends." They have the ability to break free from the shackles of "just friendship" and venture into the world of romance, where commitment and physical affection thrive. Why settle for less when we can have more, at least in fiction? Society is homophobic and Arcane's creators, influenced by societal pressures or their own prejudices, hesitated to include a gay couple (Jayce and Viktor). That's the truth. The inclusion of a lesbian couple (Caitlyn and Vi) has already caused a stir among the viewers. Their comments, based on my observations, range from preposterous claims about the supposed primary role of women as child-bearers for men to irrational expressions of revulsion directed toward gay people. To preserve my sanity, I've disengaged from further discourse with them. As for the creators, their stance on gay people remains shrouded in ambiguity Regardless, creators often opt to *hint* at gay relationships to appease shippers and homophobes alike. We're free to fill in the gaps ourselves, to imagine the romantic possibilities that exist beyond canon. It's a bittersweet remedy, to be sure, and one that allows us to reclaim agency in a media landscape that denies it to us
@@Es0terick That's his intention, yes. And while the creator intended for the male characters to be "just friends," that intention is but a single thread in the world of artistic expression. Art is subjective and has the ability to inspire a multitude of interpretations, each as valid as the individuals who hold them. Fans don't have to adhere strictly to the creator's framework; rather, they are at liberty to see a more profound, intricate connection between the characters. Seeing something more than "just friendship" isn't "strange" to me
I just wanna say, thank you for everyone who worked on this show. It was a great experience to watch. I was always invested in the lore. I knew more of the champions when you told their story through videos like Azir. I'm really grateful that I could see the story of these characters in Arcane.
The thing I'm wondering is, are they completely done with the stories of Arcane characters? or are they gonna continue to their stories with different stuffs? Like Jinx-Ekko romance, Victor-Jayce-Heimerdinger's situations, Vi-Jinx relation... Caitlyn saying "Our story isn't over" at the end made me think they're gonna return to this topics at some points.
@@ninfreak95 Can you believe people still think they changed the lore and the void doesn't exist anymore? I ran into too many of those fools this season. Just taking words to mean things they don't.
I'm abit confused, this season was supposed to wrap up Vi and Jinx's story. Instead Jinx has decided to leave Vi behind in grief probably cause she thinks Vi is better off without her and she wasn't gonna give up on Jinx. Vi has no idea if her sister is alive or dead just like in season 1 when she was in prison. this doesn't seem like a resolution but a cliff hanger. Is Vi gonna look for Jinx? Is Jinx gonna realise that she isn't the cause of the Cycle but a victim of circumstance and Vi isn't actually better of without her and come back to Vi? What about ekko? Is Jinx gonna go back to him? Like how is this a resolution man😅
42:00 i’m not a ride or die jayvik shipper but i don’t think this statement means the ship is invalid or jayce and viktor are not romantic in anyway at all like i see many people citing it as. the creators can say whatever they want in interviews now but people came to the conclusions and ship because of the words and actions of the characters in the show, and to me personally that matters more. jk rowling can claim heromine is black and invincibles creator can say he could beat superman but the ultimately whether those statements are factual and canon is really for individuals to decide based on how they view the media and how much they believe in death of the author and even if it was never intentional viktor and jayce had scenes could be viewed as having romantic undertones. you don’t have to ship them but i think it’s pretty silly to act like it’s crazy for people to ship them when it’s pretty obvious why people have that read on them also i disagree with the sentiment a lot of people seem to have that it being romantic simplifies and reduces the relationship. romantic relationships aren’t inherently more or less complex than platonic or familial relationships. they’re all as meaningful, complex or simple as we write them to be. there’s no reason why a relationship can’t be romantic and incredibly beautiful and complex
@ as in many people are citing christian’s words as canon but he isn’t the only creative and creator on arcane it’s a huge team consisting of people with different opinions and readings. other people from the team have said they support and ship it but people are acting like christian is the sole determiner on what their relationship is
Eh, I was happy that they finally got back together but the timing was seriously so dumb. Vi is pretty much thinking at that moment her sister is committing suicide and she goes down on Cait. Needed to be workshopped a bit to not be so terrible with the timing part of it
Hot take I'll take to the grave. Death is cheap, not impressive. Killing a character means you have nothing else to do with them, that you think they're more interesting dead than alive, and that you don't want any more stories with them. Don't kill a character unless you're done with them, and League will NEVER be done with them. You need to keep players compelled to enjoy these champs for years to come, killing them is the worst possible plan. It's not about plot armor, its about the fact we shouldn't be ending these stories if the whole thing isn't ending. I'd genuinely be happier with WW just leaving the show at ep 5/6 and going to be a feral confused werewolf in the sewers than them be involved in that story.
1:10:45 I think the symbolism between Viktor and cogs is just a reference to the first time the Hextech was used back in Season 1. With Jayce and Viktor floating and Viktor having fun seeing a small cog accelerate when passing through the core of the device, which probably inspired the concept of the Hexgate. In that sense, it's simply a matter of closing the loop for him. His involvement with the Hextech started with cogs, and ended with cogs.
Homie's brain is working 1000% to make sure he doesn't leak anything and get fired. I respect him and him fighting his ADHD. Cheers. It's hard to go up against the lore master like this.
This interview with Christian Linke really made some of the plot points more conclusive, I feel people are disappointed because they are misinterpreting the scenes and could benefit a lot by hearing some of the writers and animators intensions.
True, but it also shows that some of those intentions maybe didn't come across clearly enough, or could have been paced out differently. It's a tricky thing to balance, and the show handled it very well throughout, but I think could have benefited from some more breathing room to illustrate those points more fully.
To be fair it's just hard to jam everything that the audience needed to hear without ruining the pacing of the final part. Although a lot of this definitely was needed to be given to us in a way that's better than an afterwards interview. Just knowing Hextech survives is alone a massive detail that isn't obvious at all.
@@johnstajduhar9617 The show was definitely very fast paced, but still amazing, especially those last 2 episodes. I think overall they did a really good job fitting in so many story arcs but I feel having just some filler would’ve benefit the show a lot as well, but the constraints of money and time probably made this very hard to do.
@@johnstajduhar9617 That's the issue, people keep crying "show don't tell!" but then they do that and people get upset that not everything is explicitly spelt out in detail. I can't recall how many people I've seen angry that Jinx "died" when Fortiche made super obvious hints that Jinx was alive. It's not even remotely subtle, but since it wasn't explicitly spelt out people don't get it.
@@leetri Agree on that point, I think it's most helpful to think on those questions or ambiguities (if they are) is to see it in terms of theme and direction. Jinx was self-destructive and nihilistic for so long, and that airship sailing away (the exact same model from that 1st episode she fantasized about) seems a clear refutation of her just destroying herself again (even if for a heroic cause). Otherwise it's just miserable and empty, which their ending clearly isn't going for.
At around 20 minutes - he speaks about "are we past the point of darkwill" etc. I believe we are, as Swain was the one to introduce the trifarix (I BELIEVE) which would mean swain has made his pact already - but this still means it could be before the second invasion.

I'm a simple man. I see Urgot, I click.
YOU ARE A REAL GOAT!!
"Hextech isn't gone"
Yeah... There's no putting that genie back in the bottle.
Seriously, how did so many people think hextech will be gone? Imagine telling society after 30 years of using it that electricity is now forbidden because of "bad demons" or smth. As if any1 would actually stop using it.
Just don't mix it with living beings or shimmer, usable for mechanical things
Hextech is basically the equivalent of nuclear energy in our world.
Nuclear causes some trouble, but it still doesn't stop us from continues using it. We just need to put some constrain and more safely measure on it.
Same thing for Hextech, restrict the use of Hextech with any shimmer relate and put more safely measure on it.
Yeah, the merchant ain't letting Hextech gone lol
"Weapons can't be unmade, and they are always used" - Ambessa S1
Hey Necrit, idk if that's actually an intended easter egg. But my head cannon is that in the alternate world of episode 7, Piltover & Zaun are more peaceful and united mostly because Heimerdingger was thrown back in time, and he could fix his mistakes while running the Council. This makes quite a lot of sense since his whole arc from season 1 act 3 + season 2 act 1 was about him seeing & experiencing the way of life of the people in Zaun.
I thought this when I first watched as well
our heimerdinger was only there for about 3 years though, so i'm not sure how much he could have affected in that time. i definitely think he helped powder and ekko's group in particular get closer to piltover by visiting them once he showed up
I think the implication in the better timeline was violet's death leading to vander and silco reconciling leading to no more shimmer from silco and vander's vision thriving in zaun and the possibility of the two sides working together afterwards

Yeah so:
3. Viktor and Jayce just vanished
4. Heimerdinger just vanished
3. Jinx is implied to leave Zaun on that airship, meaning she’ll pop up elsewhere in someone else’s spinoff
4. Vi and Caitlyn are basically in their League positions now, they probably won’t do a whole lot else with those two (not they won’t be doing a whole lot else together ifuknowwhatImean)
5. Obviously Mel is being set up for a spinoff
Yeah. Maybe the grenade ripped his human face off
@ I see no reason why his healing factor would be gone either, so he could probably recover from whatever damage he took
Yea, there are too many loose ends and i expect a lot of references to P&Z characters and events in the other shows.
And maybe some episodes of the spin-offs could take place in P&Z.
Mel was just a champion teaser, doesn't necessarily means she will be back unless they want to further expand on the black rose.
Who’s name was on the paper he burned? Vander?
@@nocturnalneguscould be possible that ekko didn’t know how yordle works so may it was for heimer

They talked about how the rune mage in kid Jayce flashback was Rzye pre-blue transformation.

Same here.
They are indeed not dead
In fact the only champion 100% dead is Ambessa, everyone else can still be alive
Solid idea to bring Jayce and Viktor back into the story, but in a different part of the world without making it weird
Also Jayce is still tied to mel
@@omega7057 lowkey sad, she was such a cool character. Every monologue and one liners she had hit different

Or Black Mirror yeah
Would love to see rengar vs khazix
The jhin storyline in 4 episodes etc.
Well, Ekko has shown to Powder how she can use the cristals she has kept since she was a child...
damn smart theory
yeah but this cannot be, because in the top of the hexgates there was jayce's body with his hammer, and in powder universe jayce probably commited suicide
Others have called it a homophobic dog whistle. They really wanted them canonized.
And many gay people ship them as well. I’m not saying they are canon, but the sexuality of the non/shipper should not be a reason in this case

I mean, they called him Vander constantly so they didn’t need to go that far. But the characters have to be able to figure it out too before getting mauled so I don’t mind too much.
Also for thematic aspect of being able to see Vander beneath the beast

Why is it wrong to reference people that live in a place? I don't get it.

Scar and STEB??????

And I don’t think it’s wrong for people to read into it since there was so much ambiguity and complexity and that shows great writing.

hello mr. necrit, im aware this isn't in a professional interview and a lot of it is affected by the twitch chat. but, it wouldve be a pleasure to hear a real conversation and not just bombard mr. linke with question after question. for instance, he was about to dive into singed's psyche and character but was interrupted by a zeri question into a timebomb question out of nowhere. i understand that passion often overtakes us but it would be better next time to take time and really listen to mr. linke and take in what he has to say so us the audience can take it in too.
yeah cant really fault necrit for not being used to handling chat going 50x speed that he’s used to and also feeling responsible for getting people answers while everyone is an emotional mess…but it’s clear that singed and everything around that part of the show was meticulously crafted, i really wanted to hear more on the question about the science behind the life sustaining formula, orianna’s body material in our new arcane canon, etc. would have been good to have mods used to dealing w/ 20k+ viewer channels to filter stuff over so they could have a relaxed conversation…but like everything else riot does at least they did it even if not perfect.

I think season 2 should have had 12 episodes. I understand animation is expensive, but Arcane could have been beyond legendary with those extra episodes.
No
I mean, any amount of extra episodes would be great, but they had to work with what they've got.
Even one more episode would’ve been better, it’s not like they don’t have the money :/
@@tbobontiyu Literally, just one more episode set a year later to show us what happened to everyone. Like did Ekko find Jinx and make up, how is Sevika holding up in the council, what is the relationship between Zaun and Piltover etc. Such a missed opportunity to really seal the deal
Thanks for the live Q&A, it was awesome. Got some of my questions answered including the freaky ww mention ;)

I'm glad that the way they seem to want to create the lore now, is more focused on the idea that not every champion exist at the same point in time.

Ngl I don't think the majority of people care about other locations in Runeterra after Arcane, Piltover and Zuan had endless potential. Simply put there wont be a more compelling character dynamic than what we where given with Vi, Jinx and Caitlyn.
The reason behind the costs makes me very happy as someone from the animation industry.

I actually love what he said about Viktor and Jayce. Those types of relationships that go beyond what's simple and understandable are my faaaavorite kind of dynamics.
This interview really shows the difference between Lore and Storytelling. Two tools that serve different masters.
Originaly it was everyone that was alive at this moment who was in game. Now idk anymore

Mannnn...

I SINCERELY hope you're right with that. While the alternative WW designs from Arcane were cool, Warwick from the game is just SUCH A COOL DESIGN and I was practically frothing at the mouth to see my favorite champion fully animated and badass in HD and then I got-...awkward human face wolfman and then Weird White Messiah Wolfman Thing
like they looked like cool designs yes, but to me they didnt feel like WARWICK.
I’m soo glad you posted it here bc I had to watch like 5 ads every 10-15 minutes 😭

The biggest question is "Is there a common vision for what the future of the franchise holds?" Riot has a chance to replicate the magic of Marvel as long as they have one creative vision that guides their direction. If they scatter the plots then they will replicate phase 5.

@@80AM.Sorry if I hurt you in any way..? Hope you feel better though 😅
@@80AM. She is different from the powder shown in the alternative world, but she still is the same person and isn't completely gone. Jynx is still powder, it's why she still cared for VI and Vander.
@@80AM. Then why show her burning everything that made her jinx in ep9 and then show how without the jinx persona to SHIELD the burden she was gonna end It all? That right there on ep9 was powder not Happy ep 7 powder but powder nonetheless
I got a question, why did you have to break my heart like that with Loris!? The third arrow was just delayed enough for me to go "phew he's aliv- NOOOOOO"
"It's strange that people say the only close relationship two men could have is to be a couple. Friendship was something that was important for us to explore" (41:27)
That's not what we're saying, we're saying men can be more than "just friends." They have the ability to break free from the shackles of "just friendship" and venture into the world of romance, where commitment and physical affection thrive.
As for the creators, their stance on gay people remains shrouded in ambiguity
Regardless, creators often opt to *hint* at gay relationships to appease shippers and homophobes alike. We're free to fill in the gaps ourselves, to imagine the romantic possibilities that exist beyond canon. It's a bittersweet remedy, to be sure, and one that allows us to reclaim agency in a media landscape that denies it to us
you dont have to force it just because people want it that way
He is aware they can be more than friends, but he wanted to go in the direction of close friends. End of story.
Seeing something more than "just friendship" isn't "strange" to me
@ Oh I understand. He said it was strange? I didn’t recall that but understand your point on that.
He verbally confirmed Heimerdinger will be back
arcane being connected to the void is one of the most interesting hints here
It's really obvious to anyone who knows the lore, but nice to hear him say anyway. The insectoid visuals give it away.
@@ninfreak95 Can you believe people still think they changed the lore and the void doesn't exist anymore? I ran into too many of those fools this season. Just taking words to mean things they don't.
The watchers probably knows how magic works so yeah
Time code pls.
Next Setting i'd love, Noxus colony on Ionia. First episode could be a Funeral for Ambessa with flashbacks
Like how is this a resolution man😅
9:02 I don't think singed is going to "pick up" Warwick. He already got what he wanted from him.
Unless Orianna wants a dog.
42:00 i’m not a ride or die jayvik shipper but i don’t think this statement means the ship is invalid or jayce and viktor are not romantic in anyway at all like i see many people citing it as. the creators can say whatever they want in interviews now but people came to the conclusions and ship because of the words and actions of the characters in the show, and to me personally that matters more. jk rowling can claim heromine is black and invincibles creator can say he could beat superman but the ultimately whether those statements are factual and canon is really for individuals to decide based on how they view the media and how much they believe in death of the author
and even if it was never intentional viktor and jayce had scenes could be viewed as having romantic undertones. you don’t have to ship them but i think it’s pretty silly to act like it’s crazy for people to ship them when it’s pretty obvious why people have that read on them
also i disagree with the sentiment a lot of people seem to have that it being romantic simplifies and reduces the relationship. romantic relationships aren’t inherently more or less complex than platonic or familial relationships. they’re all as meaningful, complex or simple as we write them to be. there’s no reason why a relationship can’t be romantic and incredibly beautiful and complex
Yes of course. People are free to ship whatever and nobody can block that
@ as in many people are citing christian’s words as canon but he isn’t the only creative and creator on arcane it’s a huge team consisting of people with different opinions and readings. other people from the team have said they support and ship it but people are acting like christian is the sole determiner on what their relationship is
10:53 the caitvi scene was dialed back??? 😭😭
We need the NC-17 cut
Jesus Christ, what was the initial one supposed to be!?!
Eh, I was happy that they finally got back together but the timing was seriously so dumb. Vi is pretty much thinking at that moment her sister is committing suicide and she goes down on Cait. Needed to be workshopped a bit to not be so terrible with the timing part of it
@@collecter343 he said it was more mature so most likely full frontal upper body
I'm sure the scene will be expanded... unofficially
Would be nice to listen to this on Spotify or something, like a podcast

I think the symbolism between Viktor and cogs is just a reference to the first time the Hextech was used back in Season 1.
Or they could say it was someone else with the power before swain got it.
