We didn't take it offshore, however, I've been through Ponce inlet in FL on both of the smaller Dauntless models and they handled the ocean great - muich better than you might expect from boats of this design. So, I'd expect the 280 to do a great job for this size and type boat.
Hi - you can't get the livewell with it (though you still have the 19-gal. aft livewell) but you do get the sink, countertop, stowage drawers, and stowage pocket. If you go to Boston Whaler's "boat builder" tool on their website it lists out all the trade-offs in detail.
Yep... The good new is, Whalers do retain their resale value better than most boats. We found this video from BoatUS about boat costs really interesting: th-cam.com/video/Kcawi43NMlc/w-d-xo.html
Perfect.
How does this boat handle offshore?

Zach, the videographer, did you use the drone to make the video.

Can you get the boat with a Yamaha?
Hi Charles - the Whalers are sold new with Mercury outboards, exclusively.
$62,000 is a very fair price for a great fishing boat like this.
Hey Ross - we all have our own ideas about what constitutes a fair price for a boat, but if you can find 'em for $62K, we will take 10. RIGHT NOW!!!
350k for a bay boat....a bay boat!!!!
