    This is much closer to what I want to see from content of this game. I don’t understand how people can only upload full speed clips of this game like it says anything. Yomi hustle is near incomprehensible at full speed. It’s not really meant to be a display of skill or a comprehensive example of a game of Yomi hustle. Yomi hustle is simply too fast at full speed by design. The developer even said his goal with Yomi hustle was to create characters with toolkits that work in the turn based structure but would be completely unacceptable in a real fighting game. This design philosophy shows in every frame almost literally. Being able to fully comprehend whatever is being shown in a full speed replay is not the point of the replay and it cannot convey everything that happened, it can’t even convey a fraction of what was actually going on. I want to see more highlights of the micro play that makes Yomi hustle so interesting and I don’t think a single content creator has even tried to provide that before this video and I don’t think this video does exactly what I want to see either. Granted I’m just some guy and clearly the replays are being enjoyed by others, but I was asked for my input and there it is.

      Posting what I replied to another comment that brought this up--
      Some things aren't obvious or aren't visible even in slow motion, like cancel wars and now free cancels. If you know what you're doing then you can have some idea of what's going on, but at moments like 2:05 I had to really break it down frame by frame to figure out what's going on, even though I was the one who played it!
      -Cowboy uses Free Canceled 3 Combo,
      -Ninja uses Release Momentum
      -Cowboy free cancels into Teleport
      -Ninja punishes the teleport with Free Canceled Uppercut
      -Cowboy whiff cancels into gun
      -Ninja free cancels into caltrops
      -Cowboy shoots to punish the caltrops
      -Ninja whiff cancels into Free Canceled Jump Kick, using its projectile immunity to dodge the gunshot
      -Ninja free cancels into Substitution, allowing him to convert the combo
      That's ridiculous, I think you'll agree. I just posted a new video that demonstrates this problem a little.

      I enjoy the full-speed replays a lot, but I also very much agree with what you guys're saying here. These slowed-down segments are much, much more interesting to see. You get a peek of what was going on in the mind of the players, whether it be while carefully navigating between two projectiles at once, or teleporting around each other for an opening. It's super tense, wish we had more of these!

      tbh YOMI could use a turn-by-turn option to view replays

      I allready see this is going to become a massive drama problom in the community..it was good while it lasted but we only have a few more months before "replay trash players" vs "Breakdown pros" becomes something that completely devides the community in the same way mods do. this proves it.

    • @housemouseshorts
      @housemouseshorts ปีที่แล้ว

      @@4sety it needs to happen fast becouse at this rate the drama is going to take over. We are already facing mods vs non mods drama. IE which mods are actually in the spirit of the creator of the games original vision vs op. with modded players getting shitt on. This is going to be basicly the next divide. Replays vs breakdowns and which people are better. until turn based replays become a thing in engine and without the use of third party tools. It needs to happen very fast though because the community is already dividing.

    I like the idea of videos that highlight the interesting decision-making that this game encourages! The raw videos are always satisfying to watch, but editing like this makes it even better.

      The raw videos are going to come under fire if the replay system does not allow turn based recording whatever that looks like.

    I think adding captions during replay pauses/slowdowns similar to HiFights breakdown on replays (to explain why you do x moves n possible risk of committing to it, stating if you expecting opponent to y moves n so on) are helpful not only viewer, but self to study stuffs.
    Though its easier said than done I think. (Replay not showing input history made it trickier to recall stuff too)
    Your current editing style are good, keep on experimenting stuffs.

    Very cool video, showing the cool moments that you can't understand at full speed is what makes Yomi hustle really great.
    I would just recommand doing something for the sound when it's slowed down. Removing it or lowering it perhaps

      in my personal opinion these are 100x better than raw clip reuploads
      is that GOOD ENOUGH FOR YOU?!?!?? jeez....
      Also the communities fine lol, it'll stay fine for a while, this game is destined for cult appeal only and it will stay small.
      People tend to see trends they fear happening more prominently, if you fear that a community you love so dearly is becoming toxic or declining in quality over time, you will end up seeing every single dot of negativity or toxicity as a sign of the community's further decline into becoming that cesspit which you fear so much. Your brain will see what you hate so much more than what you do want, it's the same reason a single insult in a sea of compliments will ruin most people's moods.
      So just, exercise critical thinking, realise trends over long periods of time and not just within the short timeframe you personally have experienced. Not that this game has even been around long enough the community has barely formed lmao

    I'd love to see the details of neutral play during slowdowns, like the names or icons of the moves as they are cast, to have an immediate understanding of what is going on. Like those videos breaking down SF5 matches. Great job nonetheless.

    I'm torn on whether it's right to label my videos "high level" Yomi Hustle play. I can hold my own against the competitive community, and I've done okay in tournaments, but I've never fought one of the real killers and there are definitely more than a few holes in my knowledge/experience.

    • @silenzyosilenzio1598
      @silenzyosilenzio1598 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Call it competitive play

    • @housemouseshorts
      @housemouseshorts ปีที่แล้ว

      its also wording that divides the community. Its getting bad. The community is becoming way more divided over mods and no mods now. With lobby's poping up saying "mods ALLOWED" as though the fact that it is allowed at all is a rebellion against the normal players. But we are also getting NO MODS ALLOWED from normal players. And now we are getting arguments about how to conduct replay uploads. things are getting dicey and hostile. Its the start of something not so good. So wording is VERY importnent now. All creators in the community need to tread very VERY carefuly at this volitile point in the games devlopment. As we are many months in. This is where the community's toxicity level gets tested. Do we WANT this to become league of legends or even smashbros levels of toxic? People need to really think about this going foward.
