I also love to cook and eat Korean food! Before I became ill I cooked all the time. I follow Maangchi and learned from her, how to cook many, many Korean dishes! Now that I can't cook anymore, I watch you eating and enjoying all of the foods I love so much and a lot that I have never eaten before, but would love to try! I don't know how this cancer battle will end, but if I come out the other end of this, I have never left my country and I would love to visit Korea! Watching many videos I have fallen in love with your country. It is so beautiful! From the cities and markets to the many undescribably beautiful islands! I especially want to visit Jeju Island! 해장에 재첩만한게 없는데 말이죠.
민물 조개안 재첩은 간에 좋다고 하죠. 부추를 송송 썰어 넣어 먹어야 궁합에 좋답니다. 오래 전에는 저 정도 크기의 재첩은 잡지도 않고 다 돌려 보냈다는데, 요즘엔 저리 작은 재첩도 반갑기만 합니다.

I really wish I had her metabolism. To be able to eat as much as she usually does in these videos and stay in good shape is a true miracle of the human body. I know it's sometimes takes her a couple hours to finish these meals but still usually a lot of calories to burn off.
everyone has the same metabolism so she probably fasts before eating these huge meals 👍

@@ggravest0nes712 even if someone does have a “naturally slow/fast metabolism” it’s barely any calories to make such a difference in weight. Metabolisms which are extremely fast or slow come from medical conditions such as hyperthyroidism and PCOS and people who are naturally skinny or big usally grow up very differently hence their sizes
@@Ar-sp8xw thats because metabolism can change. Also I didn’t say anything about calories. AND some people have slow/fast metabolisms but also their size can different due to genetics. Also tzuyang digests food fast so thats why she can eat big meals. Everyone doesn’t have the same metabolism
@@ggravest0nes712 ofc not everyone’s is the same but MOSTLY everyone does have the same metabolism, if it’s a faster or slower metabolism that someone has its only some calories nothing major, it’s literally science, and if u saw the video where she went to the doc u would know she has an active thyroid, nothing major or dangerous but it still has an impact. Also ppl may appear bigger or slimmer due to genetics (bone structure), nothing to do with metabolism. And yes metabolism can change over time but it’s not gonna cause to lose or gain a bunch of weight randomly. And lastly again fast/slow metabolisms naturally dont do anything.

재첩은 강과 바다가 만나는 하구의 간수 구역에 사는 조개입니다. 예전엔 낙동강 하구에도 많이 살아서 부산에선 재첩국이 유명했어요. 헌데 하구둑이 생기며 바닷물과 민물이 섞일 수 없게 되면서 많은 강에서 자취를 감췄고 지금은 섬진강에서만 날 거예요. 재첩국(사투리로는 재치국)이 워낙 시원한 맛이라 해장용으로 많이 먹는답니다. 드신 재첩조개는 씨알이 큰 편이예요. ^^

That meal isn't my cup of tea, but watching Tzuyang eat it makes me want to try it.
I only say that because growing up the most "exotic" food we ate in our family was beef tongue, and even then, my Mom would tell my Sister and I it was ham. I think growing up in the depression, my Mom's family ate every part of the animals they kept on their farm and that impacted my Mom's food choices later in life. Tripe and intestines were synonymous with being poor. Same with eating seaweed; she lived on the coast of the Atlantic Ocean in Nova Scotia, but stopped eating seaweed when she got older. If she could see me now, enjoying seaweed, I think she'd be surprised.
As a person who doesn't eat liver, hearts, intestines, and other parts of the animals because I simply don't like the taste? FISH INTESTINES ARE THE BEST! I swear! It has no weird taste to it! It simply tastes like fish meat except the texture is soft like squid but its not chewy at all and it doesn't have that fishy taste! This is my most favorite Korean dish! I swear you should try it, you're like eating a regular fish! The long sausage looking one is their eggs, so its like you're eating a finer version of caviar. Again its not that fishy and it tastes like caviar without the fishy taste.
