TL;DW: Pollution levels in Nordhavn, in the inner city, are ten times what they are in the suburbs, and the pollutants, ultra fine particles, are very damaging to our health. Danish environmental regulations are completely inadequate, as they don't even require particle filters in diesel cars and diesel trucks. The Lynetteholm construction project will result in 720 additional trucks through the city per day for 30 years, leading to even more particle (and noise!) pollution.
I gathered all that from the context and I don't even speak Danish. Do they say if they are measuring PM2.5, PM10 or both? I assume both, but it does make a difference. Did they talk about noise pollution too?
@@ElectricityTaster Yeah they talked about noise at the end. They said that regulations limit industrial noise to 40 dB, but the agency responsible for building Lynetteholm has applied to get the limit raised to 50 dB. Meanwhile they measure over 80 dB from traffic on the street. They also talk about the negative health effects of noise pollution, including elevated stress and poor sleep.
Why no subtitles?
