For sale in our Chicago showroom is a stunning 1963 Buick Riviera GS. Riviera burst onto the seen in 1963 as its own model after previously being a sub-model in the mid 50's. Styling was so well received that touted of the first generation Riviera that it achieved Milestone status from the Milestone Car Society and was considered "One of the most beautiful American cars ever built" by Sergio Pininfarina. The classic look and styling is still beautiful today and is extremely well represented by this gorgeous example here.
This burgundy metallic beauty has had many modern upgrades and mild appearance modification but keeps with the original styling that is still stunning over 50 years later. The original engine with finicky carburetion has been swapped for an ultra-reliable, fuel-injected LS1 V8 that fires right up with the turn of a key and sounds fantastic. Backing up all that raw power is another super-reliable component, a 4L60 automatic transmission that makes this car ride and handle like a modern vehicle. Convenience items such as power steering, power brakes, power windows, remote keyless entry and Vintage Air system give this resto-mod Buick all the things you would find in a modern automobile.
Not to be outdone by just engineering upgrades this Riviera has been given a whole new look and stance thanks to 2" lowering springs and Vellano 3-piece wheels with dimensions of 24" x 10.5" in the rear and 22" x 9" in the front. The interior is spacious and luxurious with 4-passenger bucket seating and front and rear consoles. The addition of gray marble wood shows great against the deep burgundy hides. Comfort and luxury are what you feel from the moment you slide into those big bucket seats.
Of course you cannot drive a car like this around town without listening to some of your favorite tunes and this car will deliver in high fashion thanks to the 3 - 10" Diamond Audio subs, 1000/1 Alpine Pax bass amp, 4 channel Autoteck Amp and Alpine interior speakers.

Only problem is, Buick never offered the gran sport on 63's or 64's the gran sport made it's debut in 1965. Some clown just stuck a few emblems on it.

True. However, assuming the LS-1 transplant was done correctly, this car should be far more reliable and economical than the old 401.

No such thing as a 63 Gran Sport. In 64 the dual four package with engine dress package was offered halfway through year. Only engine available in 63 was 401 single 4bbl. this car is nice but also a BS clone of a 64.

What's with the clown car wheels? Good grief, some people shouldn't be allowed to own classic cars. SMDH
