What an enjoyable interview Charlotte and Wendy... so enjoyed hearing about her quilling journey and seeing her eclectic collection of pieces. Interestingly I love both William Morris design and Moroccan art and don’t they lend themselves so well to quilling in Wendy’s skilled hands?! The Sydney Quillers are clearly a wonderful community and I particularly like hearing about Wendy’s mission to spread the word about quilling. It’s such a little known craft that it’s something we all should do to share this ancient craft. I agree totally with her also about selling pieces, they take so long that it would never be economically viable and so to reserve them as gifts is really special. As she says you are giving the gift of your time and skill and a piece that is totally unique. I would love one of those boxes too... what a wonderful idea, and that watch, such detail. Thank you for sharing Charlotte and I look forward to seeing your photos of the Easter show. 😘

A lot of the pieces we talked about in this interview were in the Feature Display at the Sydney Royal Easter Show, and lots of people were in awe that they were made with paper and glue! We're slowly getting the word out there about quilling :)
