    I think the Visible Plus would work for us while camping, so 4-5 months of the year. We have Spectrum that uses also Verizon and the coverage is good. But would like to use it in addition to Spectrum only as a hotspot with a cellular router, the problem is to make sure the router and Visible SIM card are compatible.

    Visible has a sale right now for the month of March 2023. 35 dollars for the visible+ and 25 bucks for the normal visible plan. I have been on visible for around 2 years. We switched from the older cloud system to the new visible+. Had verizon for 6 years prior. Speeds were a bit slower when on the old cloud system but on visible+ I have had no issue. I do wish Visible or other MVNO's allowed for microcells such as verizons LTE extender. Wifi calling etc does work but in past I use to enjoy the LTE extender for a good full signal in house. Sadly, those type of extenders (not boosters) require post paid accounts to activate.

    I had mint for over a year, it was fine in town but I frequently had no service when traveling.
    I switched to visible for 1 month because I had Verizon for years where I live. Visible was OK, disappointed my Verizon note 9 wouldn't work with them. Visible midnight phone is a huge POS and dropped every call I ever made with it.
    Now back to straight talk with an A53 5g and life is good again.

    Well, when they say 5GUW they’re not just talking about Ultra Wideband they’re talking about C band which is N77 mid band for Verizon I have the Visible plus plan and I love it because I have that technology here in New Jersey where I live at and in my house I get it I get over 300 down in like audio i’m never on low van 5G I’m always on Medvedev or hot then 5G so I never go over my gigs because I’m in bed and I’ve been fighting on the visible plus plan

    First month on visible plus plan speed 16mbps and call quality excellent. If you don't care about high speed data than it's a good service to save money plus roaming and you can call so many international countries which is excellent.

    • @WheresAangy
      @WheresAangy ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Isn’t that speed kinda ass though compared to others? Or is that just good for your area?
      I’ve seen users over 80-100 megabits p/s on visible+. I’m gonna try it out since it says I should have good coverage, plus Verizon covers my area well, but I’m gonna be mad if I just get that speed.

    My mint plan is expiring in 7 days and I was thinking of transferring to visible to try them for a month or two. If I don't like the service I was going to go back to mint, but with what you said that customer service is bad means it is hard to transfer out, I would say no thanks I will stay with mint with 10Gb for $20 a month!

    • @exiledcoalition592
      @exiledcoalition592 ปีที่แล้ว

      I personally just don’t like that mint requires you to pay 3,6,12months. I personally think mint is pretty expensive especially for such low data.
      I got mint during their free 3 month promo so I’m covered until June or July but I’m planning on cancelling them. Their service are nearly identical to my T-Mobile line which I think sucks but it’s no surprise since mint is under tmobile towers.
      I also have Boost Infinite which is 35gb for $25 a month and that’s something I would recommend, they run under ATT and Tmobile I believe but their data speeds are actually quite amazing. Only thing is that they are post payed which is kinda of weird but I don’t have a problem with it

  • @skibik64
    @skibik64 ปีที่แล้ว +2

    You are saying throttling but Visible doesn't throttle data. Throttling data is when you hit a certain amount of data used and you are dropped to a slower speed. You should be saying deprioritized instead. The plus plan does give 50GB of premium data and then you are back on the deprioritized data but you are not throttled. I have Visible and it is a good deal and works great provided you can put up with having to chat with customer service by chat or social media.

      my problem with mint was you pay for a whole year up front and you cant make any changes so if you want to upgrade to a better plan then you basically have to cancel your old plan and get no credit for it and buy a new plan. i was like nice and even the customer service guy kinda laughed about it. but if you know exactly how much data you will need and can pay for a whole year up front then mint is good initially i was paying for too much data with mint then went lower but too low and was locked in for a year. i thought i would be able to change the plan but nope. i like visible until i have to contact customer service. mostly its more flexible as you pay month to month.
