Can't be objective towards a song glorifying Mother Theresa. Especially with so many other actually noble women they could've chosen for the lyrics instead.

@dk240996 the fact that you criticize Theresa means you know about her. She is famous enough so that everyone can recognize the allusion. Would you feel better if they sang "st.Theresa of Lisieux" instead? Would you even recognize her? I don't think so. Maybe there are a few other super popular saints, but no one that would be that widespread in both church and lay circles, and still fresh in memory, in my opinion. The allusion doesn't glorify her, it says that anyone can become great if they try. The overall lyrics are the whole other story about women, expectations put on them, about knowing that there are better days coming, etc. There isn't anything religious apart from the allusion
This feels a potential winner. I love the Ukrainian vibes in this and it really drags you in. I got goosebumps. Definitely top 3 and it could be our winner...

Thank you for your reaction❤️ I am very happy that Alyona Alyona and Jerry Heil are going. I voted for them as did all my family and friends. The televoting results are AMAZING - 61.97%, 723,297 votes, which is 7 TIMES MORE than 2nd place YAKTAK (9.19% 107,227 votes).
In addition, I want to say that Jerry Heil, and many of the other Vidbir contestants, had a problem with their headphones, which can be seen right from the beginning of the performance that Jerry took off her headphone and sang with only one. And she was showing her earpiece, which means she was giving a sign that she couldn't hear herself. Additionally, during Alyona's rap, Jerry went to the back to correct the earpiece. So it will definitely be different in Malmö 💞.

It was a solid national final for sure and almost all the songs (there's a couple in there that weren't great lol) would've held their own in Eurovision. But this one is magic and I'm so glad it won Vidbir. I think Fairytale and Cha Cha Cha also landslided the televote in their national finals in a similar way too which imo says ALOT. I'm not gonna say it's winning yet because it's still too early but I think it'll safely be in the top 5.

The main message of the song sung in both languages is that all the divines were born as human beings, so it's up to the individuals how they walk their path, up to sainthood. And in the rap part, it's about overcoming the pressure from the society and obstacles, with the support from ancestors being always with us.

This feels like such a great mix of past Ukrainian entries plus something new and I love it. It’s got go_an and Jamala vibes, with the rap like with Kalush Orchestra and also maybe a splash of Tvorchi a little bit. I think this is my winner out of all the songs released so far

It's quite an interesting eresting interpretation. But there is no such a line as “on her shoulders is a little child “ if you refer to “На своїх плечах ще мале дівча
Несе з болю чан і вбача, що то вада є”. In my opinion, it's more about how women from childhood experience inequality and are criticized by society for not fulfilling expectations
