I think at the beginning of your videos you always explain why you havent podcasted in a long time but really, its not necessary! Everyone understands that life is busy with children ! Maybe you only podcast in Fall and Winter occaisionally and thats fine, I dont think people have expectations of you about how many videos you do! Im sure we all appreciate whenever you have time to do one... Your house looks so nice, maybe one day we could get a tour of the inside, I love your house decorating style! The cardigans look very cozy! thanks for the podcast today!
Thank you so much! I might do a house tour some day but for now i still have so many rooms that are not yet decorated ☺️ About explaining where i have been. for me podcasting is like talking to a friend so if we haven’t talked in a while i do a little catch up first 🤗 you can always skip the intro if it becomes boring or redundant 😅 Also, you would be surprised how many messages i get asking where i am and when i will podcast again 😄
Lovely podcast thank you. I LOVED your intro about your children and creating their childhood memories with their friends and activities. Wonderful Mum 🥰. Your Nordlig cardigan looks wonderfully cozy and unique. Clever, lovely design. Thanks 🙏
When you mentioned going to the beach almost everyday, I really envied your lifestyle and decided to go to a beach next summer! Just felt happier from imagining it. Where I live, climate change is crazy, we had burning, sweaty summer until mid-September and we can still go by with summer clothes… I really miss autumn! Love your new cardigan design, it is so interesting! Love the cabled one as well. Getting subscribed 😊
I have also been away from technology, being nomadic for more than 7 months, but now settled in a new place again. So ggod to see a vieo from you again. I have knitted a lot while nomadic and am now alswo giving knitting classes at a wool shop near me and also knitting jerseys for my one pupil while teaching her. I love the teaching. In my country knitting has become such a lost skill, we are trying to create a bigger awareness
Lærke, your designs are so beautiful. The sound was totally fine on my end. I’m so excited for Sarah and so thrilled that so many fellow podcasters like you are supporting her new endeavor. I can’t wait to see your post from it. 🌸🌼🌻
Love the new cardigan that is not a pattern yet ❤. Maybe I’ll apply for the testknit once you call for testers and hope I get picked! Yes, I’m also going to K2P2! I will be wearing something totally not your style, I’m trying to finish a magic marled sweater dress by Stephen west in purple lilac 🤣. ❤
I've been so excited for the Nordlig Cardi! Congrats on the release.🥳 The Green Carigan also looks AMAZING! You are really knocking it out of the park on these patterns.
Thank you for taking the time to podcast! It’s really sweet to see your passion in all your designs. You really not only building a wonderful pattern portfolio for us but creating a timeless capsule wardrobe for us all :) I love how you play with texture and construction. For the second cardigan, my vote would be for pockets. But it’s also lovely without as well! Much love from California ❤
So happy to see this podcast in my feed, you were missed. I love how both of your sweaters turned out. The wind was not an issue for me at least. it might have been different if you were outside. I hope you have fun at your retreat.
I'm so sad! I was waiting to get my tickets to the festival until my travel plans were confirmed. I got so excited when I realized that I could be in the Netherlands for the day of the festival, so I bought my flights, went to buy the ticket to the festival...and they had sold out the day before! LOL. So, I won't make it to the party, but I'll be in town running around and I'm sure there will be plenty for me to explore. Have a wonderful time! Grins
It was wonderful to see this video! That is exciting news for you and I hope you have a great time at the fair. I love your second cardigan and the colour is beautiful.
Lovely episode! It's always a pleasure to listen to you 😊I fell in love with the Nordling cardigan the first time I saw it in your podcast and have been patiently waiting for its release since then, thank you so much!
First time watching and already subscribed! Your cardigan ‘in making’ has been just the Cardi pattern I’ve been looking for. (I have a round neck pattern in my ravelry queue that is similar but really want a Vneck). I would love to test this pattern for you and hope I don’t miss the opportunity once you put it out for testing. If I’m not lucky enough to be chosen I will likely wait for it to be published. I have a local to me hand dyed yarn already in mind. I also really love your newly published Cardi pattern. Such a unique construction!
I really like the cabled cardigan, I don't think it needs pockets. I also like the narrow cuffs as they are. Looking forward to your release of this in the future as I am planning to attempt an advanced cardigan in 2025. Lovely video, thank you 😊
Please add pockets! I’ve got a lovely green wool I would love to knit it up in. ❤ Such a pretty design, I actually love how you designed the cable at the shoulder join.
Yayyy! 🤍 So lovely to see you again in a podcast episode, Lærke! That new cabled cardigan design looks ABSOLUTELY gorgeous. The oversized fit is certainly a cardigan of my dreams. Hopefully one day my knitting skill is advanced enough & I can make it myself if you decide to release it. And so cool that you’re going to the Netherlands for the festival 🙏🏼
I’m so excited that you finally finished and released your Nordlig! I’ve been ogling at it since you first showed it and checked in frequently to no avail… I had given up all hope by now! But… you proved me wrong and her3 it is, definitely worth the wait! I just bought it and can’t wait to get my hands on some Gotland… this autumn is all about cardigans in my projects and Nordlig will line up nicely! And yes, please, pockets for the other cardigan, definitely!!!
Wish I could attend K2P2. Visiting Europe from Australia. But will be on the Norwegian supply ship. Jana of Finnish Knitting podcast will be at the Festival. Enjoy it.
Thank you for releasing the Nordlig cardigan - I’ve been waiting for it since you showed it in progress in a previous episode and bought it straightaway. The construction is so unique. It will be my first attempt at brioche. The cabled cardi is lovely (I might try to add 4ply stockinette pockets in a lightweight yarn on the inside for practical purposes). Nice to see you and your pretty home and island again :)
Hello! I am so happy to see a new video from you ❤ can’t wait for the pattern of the second cardigan you showed us! I would like to be a test knitter for it…greets from Italy
Ooh.... No tickets for the festival..😢. I'm Dutch and not really connected because of my health. I really wanted to go when I heard you talking about it even though it would be quite exhausting for me. I will see if there are still possibilities. I admire your work. 🐏🌞💕
@@FiberTales thank you, i feel better now.. There is this website called ticketswap where people can sell tickets for events when they can't go them selves. I made an account, I ll be notified when there's a ticket for sale. There are always people who's cannot make it because off illness or other circumstances. I am determined to go! 🌞🐏💕
Welcome back Laerke (sorry for the 'english ae). I love both cardigans and have purchased the Nordlig cardigan. It will be my first brioche challenge so that should be interesting. I am so envious about It's a Sarah Knit 2 Purl 2 festival. Eastern Canada doesn't seem to have knitting festivals. Maybe one day I will get to Denmark or the Netherlands for a knitting festival. Thanks for sharing. The sound and lighting were fine. And it was good to hear your catch up.
Prince Edward Island has a Fibre Festival in early October. It’s probably too late to register but the Woolcast on TH-cam by Fleece and Harmony has all the information if you’re interested in checking it out. They have a sheep farm, woolen milland yarn shop in Belfast Prince Edward Island.💕🧶 From Katie in Maine USA
hi Laerke, i just purchased the pattern for the humelbi shawl and was wondering if you would consider making a short video to illustrate the picot bind on? i have been struggling with the written directions...thank you
Love your aesthetic and the cardigan is gorgeous 😍 Im curious why you call your videos podcasts, perhaps vlogs would be more accurate? I tried to listen to one as a podcast, but realised you were actually showing stuff on the screen, so only listening didn't really work 😅
Thank you! I’m not sure who started calling it a podcast but it has become the name for these kind of things. Vlogs are a bit more relaxed imo. I guess it could be called many things 😅
Both of your cardigan designs are beautiful! I've never knit brioche before, do you think it would be too ambitious to cast on the Nordlig as my first brioche project?
If you sre not new to knitting you should be fine. Brioche is just like knitting with yarn overs ☺️ the project will let you practice brioche in the round, brioche flat and increases. But only in 1 color
