If you have read the book and know everything about it, then good for you but if you just watched my "HOTD entire Story explained video" then honestly, you dont know many things! I have watched all videos of Alyssane and Jahaereys reign. Honestly speaking Queen Alyssane is just so much hyped! She was in many ways a hypocrite and terrible mother. She talks of feminism but didn't hesitate to take throne with Jahaereys while Rhaena (eldest child of Aenys) and Aerea (eldest child of Rheana and Aegon) were alive. She got her teenage daughters Daella and Vissera to marry old men. Vissera died due to it and Daella being scared of childbirth died later too. She also got 11 year old Aemma marry Viserys which again included risk of early childbirth. And why the hell she kept on stating that Vissera wants to become Queen by marrying Baelon when Aemond and his eldest child Rhaenys were alive during that time? I admire her works on many cases but in some cases she is totally terrible, which I think makes her a grey character rather than an flawless angel.
Your character analysis is absolutely wrong. Jaehaerys and Alysanne wanted to marry off their daughters to old men cuz they didn't want the children of their daughters to inherit any lands and titles. Like imagine, if the Lord of Casterly Rock is a Dragonrider and has a huge army at his back. This is threatening to the iron throne. According to Alysanne, Baelon is the perfect candidate for the throne. She initially opposes Jaehaerys's decision to make Baelon his heir instead of Rhaenys, but then Alysanne realises that there's no better candidate than Baelon.

Alyssane literally lived alone on Dragonstone for several years because she didnt like Jaehaerys' decision and was angry.
