UCLA Junior here, Biochem major! It's very hard indeed to get here straight out of HS, but there's a trick. Transfer from a community college and pull at least a 3.7, and you're about guaranteed!
Highly recommend living on campus your freshman year. Best way to make friends and also frees you up from the time needed to make your own meals. That way, you'll have more time to socialize, exercise, work....and oh yeah, study and learn!
I've never really considered going to UCLA for college, but since I've been looking through college websites and students opinions of TH-cam, ucla seems the best and it seems like everyone at UCLA is just one big family! It's my new goal to apply and get accepted into this awesome school!
Ok I've been here for summer camp and... Holly is awesome. They're not kidding about the food, sproul has the best food ever. Also, the bookstore is amazing.
Hi, I am only 14 years old and since the age of 10 it has been my dream to attend this university! I will work hard, stay focused and trust God that my dream will become a reality!
This looks great. I do have one note, though. At the end of the video, you feature a student on a scooter on Bruin Walk. Bruin Walk is a pedestrian walkway.
Looks awesome. I'm applying for Fall 2015 and I just hope to get a fair opportunity to get into my dreams' University. As an international I'll do my possible best to get a kick-ass score at both SAT and TOEFL and write a brilliant essay to raise my chances to be admitted. UCLA
It is very expensive for out of state students, but remember, once you establish residency you will have in state fees. The hardest part will be getting in as UCLA, like all other state schools, is required to give CA residents priority.
Got accepted to UCLA in March, and I plan to attend next year. I come from a single parent home that brings in a whopping $10,000 dollars per year. I worked my ass off to get accepted (4.65 gpa). Btw, there are increased tuition fees for out of state students.
I graduated in 1995. I lived on campus all four years. When I moved into Canyon Point, it was brand new. I spent two years in A1-301 with two fantastic roommates.
I'm going to a community college next year...I'm all the way in NYC but I want to transfer here and am keeping my fingers crossed. It's my dream University to go there. I have no interest in NYU. I'll do everything I can.
Im gonna be a senior this year, I was originally born and raised in Southern California but moved up to the state of Oregon my freshman year. I plan on attending UCLA and majoring in Art or Art History but since im out of state, its gonna be more expensive :/ I wish they can give me a discount for living in Cali most my whole life.
Those stairs are no joke! lol Anyways, when I visited during admit weekend I fell in love with the campus and I'm very excited to live there for the next 4 years! :-D
4.65?!?!?! How?! Why?! Is it that competitive now between high school seniors now?!? Back in 2007 anything above 4.2 was pretty unheard of... But a 4.65? Amazing sir/ma'am, I hope you get to enjoy yourself at least every now and again though!
This College Has Been My Dream FOREVER . Cant Wait To See What Its Like This Summer, And To Hopefully Be A Student In 2014 . Goodbye NYC, My Dream Is Calling
I'm only 13 but getting accepted into UCLA is my ultimate dream. I know it's 5 years from now but I just get so excited just thinking about it. I really hope UCLA will one day be my college and just the thought of getting accepted just makes me want to work even harder in school.
I've been wanting to go to this school since 7th grade. I'm now a sophomore in high school. I want to get accepted to this school so bad!! It's such a wonderful place. I want to major in psychology and minor in political science or law.
i can only dream of going here. I am currently a first year student at the University of Sydney. i hope my exchange program works out. Fingers crossed :)
High School class of 2017! I'm takings geometry this year. My classes as a freshman are like hell, and just because I came from a private school to a public school.
I'm 11 but I've been dreaming about going to this since forever! I know it's a little soon for a 6th grader to think about collage, but i wanna start early so I'll start saving so i will have enough money to get in. I wanna ask what kind of lesson do they have there?
I've always wanted to go here since I found out about this school. I have two years before I graduate high school but I am from Ireland and the tuition fees are to high 😣 hopefully I can get a scholarship, if anyone knows any thing I can do which will help me with obtaining one please let me know
I have the Same Problem.exept i'm from Germany so i have to work on my english and I have 4 more years of school before college! I still wanna go there so Bad!!❤❤😍
you should be fine. is your 3.9 weighted? it depends on what school you're applying to though. I think my AP scores in the sciences helped me a lot. My EC too, I had a position in the student club. I got into the engineering.
UCLA is my dream college 💕💕 It’s also exciting because from what i saw, you can skateboard on campus. is that true?? (if that’s a dumb question i apologize, i’m in high school and skateboarding is definitely not allowed)
If I didn't live in CA and I moved onto the UCLA campus would I be considered an in-state or out-of-state resident. Like what type of tuition and fees would I have to pay?
also, i love the walking and talking here... the only thing that would be better is if multiple people were walking/talking at the same time, kind of like on the west wing... although i realize the reference may get lost on a lot of traditional-aged prospective undergraduate students...
I want to go to this school so bad but i know i won't get in. I mean you have to be extremely smart to get in. and since I don't live in california it is so much expensive
i'm 16 , i'm close to take my math bachelor , i was planning to attend this university but i'm not from USA , also i want to go for software engineering , i don't know if that's possible , or how can i register in campus , i'm sure a little help would let my brain on the road Thank you
Do two years at a cc and go in as a junior-level transfer. Trust me, it's MUCH easier to get in that way. Classes at even good cc's are quite a breeze, for the most part.
Even though I'm 13, I can't wait to move to L.A to study astronomy at UCLA! I can't wait even if I still have a few more years to go!
@@addie271 let the kid dream!

What do you mean what kind of lesson? Like subjects they have? Well, it's college, you pick something to major in to get a degree in.
I'll be here next year! Went straight out of hs.
I've always wanted to go here since I found out about this school. I have two years before I graduate high school but I am from Ireland and the tuition fees are to high 😣 hopefully I can get a scholarship, if anyone knows any thing I can do which will help me with obtaining one please let me know

Looks amazing, but I wonder how hard is it to get into? -_-
What are the recommendations of getting into UCLA as a transfer student??? In terms of GPA and all that???
Accepted to Berekeley an LA. Too hard to decide!
you should be fine. is your 3.9 weighted? it depends on what school you're applying to though. I think my AP scores in the sciences helped me a lot. My EC too, I had a position in the student club. I got into the engineering.
it really depends on the course your willing to study but usually a 3.0
UCLA is my dream college 💕💕
It’s also exciting because from what i saw, you can skateboard on campus. is that true??
(if that’s a dumb question i apologize, i’m in high school and skateboarding is definitely not allowed)
If I didn't live in CA and I moved onto the UCLA campus would I be considered an in-state or out-of-state resident. Like what type of tuition and fees would I have to pay?
WOW...I guess all the successful students truly get a rewarding experience if they accepted there.
hi im from canada im gonna try to get into ucla but my concern is if your international are tuition fees higher but im up for a basketball scolarship
Hi Dan,
Students that are not residents of California pay higher tuition fees. For information about athletics, visit uclabruins.com
Damn, 4.3? Well, good job getting that great of a GPA but it doesn't just depend on the GPA. You had to do really good on your SAT's too.
Totally my dream school. When can I start?
@MyNiggaDD :), I'm 16 and I'm going to be a senior in HS this September & yes I'm going to apply!
I want to go there in less then 2years but it's a bit expensive so let's save up !

OHHHHH , so are applying this year ? or next year ?
Is it possible to get in-state tuition after attending UCLA for one year?
also, i love the walking and talking here... the only thing that would be better is if multiple people were walking/talking at the same time, kind of like on the west wing... although i realize the reference may get lost on a lot of traditional-aged prospective undergraduate students...
do they allow you to leave campus? and do you always have to eat on campus?
Anybody know rules for having a car and living on campus? Is it really necessary to have a car here?
I want to go to this school so bad but i know i won't get in. I mean you have to be extremely smart to get in. and since I don't live in california it is so much expensive
How much does it cost per month for an exchange student to live on campus?
