    This has been the MOST helpful crochet craft fair video I have watched. Search results have become so amigurumi-focused or one topic focused that this was an amazing find. Can’t wait to watch more of your content😊

    I want a hippopotamus for Christmas doesn't just sound like a song from the fifties, it actually IS one. It was released in the early fifties and was a huge hit!
    What's old is always new again for another generation. The current generation of kids always thinks they came up with it. LOL
    But it is a song that is endlessly fun for every generation. :)

    You're giving GREAT advice but what about for people that can't get out & go to places & they're having to depend on selling on the internet on places like Etsy, eBay etc...?
    Thanks! Merry Xmas!

    • @CrochetWithTiffany
      @CrochetWithTiffany  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi Beth, That is a great question. Selling your crocheted items online is really difficult. Unless you are making something completely original and that nobody else is doing you will have a tough time selling online. The market is just too flooded. The only way you can really be found is through great tags and spending money on advertisements. That is why I try to stick to selling in person because for me it has worked 1,000 times better. Unfortunately, with the times we are in selling in person is not exactly an option. The BEST advice I could give to you is really look for those themes and colors that are popular this year. What people are actually buying and that connection piece I talk about. Maybe look at what tv shows are popular and try to create a beanie that a popular character wears or a stuffed toy of a popular character, or stick to smalls that are easy to make and you can sell cheap. Notice what is popular like the ear buds teens are wearing right now. Make a case for those. But stick to what is popular, what people are buying, and make things to accessorize off of that or stay in that lane. Make a few of these things to get noticed, get you some traffic, before you start making generic things. You need people to find you. You need views. Without this you will not be seen and therefore will not make sells. Online is cut-throat man. I'm not a big fan. Other options you could seek out are looking to be a vendor in a coffee shop (those are still open). Or look to be a vendor at a boutique or other store location near you. Talk to the manager for information, see if they do consignments. But ya, that's all I can really think of. You may be able to research ways to kill it on Etsy through other youtube videos. But I've only managed a few sales here and there based around items I have made that appeal to peoples connections. Best of luck to you! 😊🧡🧶

I think you would do well making Crochet Bucket hats for all sizes, baby through young adult. Oh My Gosh you would kill it! If I were you I would also make a bunch of SMALLS. Key Chains, small stuffed animals, magnets, beanies for baby, November I might also focus on Christmas and make cute little easy Christmas Gifts. You could also check out my Pinterest Boards for more ideas that I have found. Focus on TOYS, and SMALLS, and BEANIES!!!! 100%

    Thank you. I had no idea that holiday craft fairs would be active during these strange times. I'm wondering what's different. Some local events here have been canceled. Maybe it's different in the state/town you live. So you're saying these things cannot be sold online? Just to be clear =)

    • @CrochetWithTiffany
      @CrochetWithTiffany  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi BadKitty! It’s really hard to say what events are still going on this year and what event will be canceled this year. I am still seeing Farmers Markets every week but Christmas shows are a bit different. To be honest I’m not really sure how many will be open this year but some people have told me they are doing at least one so 🤷🏼‍♀️.
      You could absolutely sell these things online. My video is just in reference to what things sold really well for me when I was a Vender at holiday events. But yes, you could absolutely sell all of these things online. The hard thing you may encounter is all of the competition that is online. To make yourself stand out online you have to do something very different than everyone else. You have to have a special niche that is uniquely yours. Then you also have to get yourself seen. How will you drive people to your online store? I have not had a great deal of luck with that but if you research and learn best ways to sell online that would help you a lot. I have just noticed from experience that crochet things sell much better in person than online. 😊❤️🧶

    Hi Tiffany would you mind if I asked you for some advice please, I am going to be selling online in the UK and I don't know how much of an item do I make and have to hand,there's only going to be about 12 items that I have in mind at the moment but I don't what to make say like, slippers 10 different colours. Can you give me a little advice please I would really appreciate it. Anna.

    • @CrochetWithTiffany
      @CrochetWithTiffany  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi Anna! Absolutely! Ok so you have in mind to make 12 different items. First thing to consider is how big is the event? If it is a smaller event held at a church or smaller venue where they are predicting 100-300 people to show up I would say make about 5 of each item you would like to sell. I would make a couple of the same color in case one color sells well. If you are going to be at a bigger event you may want to try to make around 10 items of each thing you are planning on having. I know, it sounds like a lot. Believe it or not people love to see a lot of things on a table. It makes them excited. Also, an option if you are open to it, you could bring a note pad and take orders for people if they are wanting something in a different color or a certain quantity of something. Let people know you can take orders so they feel more opportunity to ask for more if not enough is on your table. I hope this was helpful. Great question! Good luck with your event! I'm a bit jealous. Have Fun!!

    I’ve been concentrating on hats & scarves also sets, cowls and cute socks. I am preparing for the holiday sales.... I don’t make a lot of the small stuffed animals, do you have any other suggestions on small things to make, or shall I just stick with what I’m making now?

    • @CrochetWithTiffany

    • @CrochetWithTiffany
      @CrochetWithTiffany  4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Hi Beecy! Honestly the best thing you can do to get over that feeling of wondering if people will think your crochet is good enough to sell is to try your best and then actually try to sell some things. Get a feel for how people respond to your items. You might be surprised. Many people love the look of an item that is flawed because it proves it’s truly hand made. And then just keep practicing and getting better at your craft. You can totally do it! I believe in you. 😊🧶❤️

    Hi Tiffany! I started scrolling through your videos last night from the bottom, up! This is such a great, informative video. Although I don't do craft fairs, it gave me a lot of useful information on market targeting for the few items I do occasionally sell. Thanks for all your advice and effort to help others.

    I don't mean to be a wet blanket, but all of the craft fairs in my area have been canceled, including all the fall and holiday craft fairs. I plan on focusing selling my items online. I do like your ideas about what to sell though.

    • @CrochetWithTiffany
      @CrochetWithTiffany  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Jodi, ya, I was worried that might be the case this year in most places if not all. Super bummed about it. I mean we could think glass half full and use this extra time to build even more inventory for next year. And we can take our time and not feel rushed. 🙂
