    Used to live in Eden. Really enjoyed both the skiing and cruising up little cottonwood. My fave was Ogden canyon to Eden,band across the trappers loop with a stop at the shooting star. Same bike as well. Thanks for the memories of Utah. Live in Maine now.

      Glad you liked the video! - I grew up 10 min away from the mouth of big cottonwood canyon - just recently moved to southern Utah and am excited to explore some of the new areas down here - gonna be putting another ride video together soon!

      I have loved this bike so far. It’s my first bike and it’s not too intimidating to learn on and it’s plenty big to handle freeway speeds. If you go with a shadow you’ll love it!

    Great video, especially the sound. I don’t have my first cruiser yet. Honestly, I’m probably a year or so away from getting one so I’m doing all my homework early so I get it right the first time. I love the looks of the phantom, the Aero and the Indian Scout. Thanks for sharing your ride with everyone

      Def don’t know too much about the scout but I keep hearing good things but I will tell you that Honda will never die met a guy the other day 45,000 miles on it has only changed the oil still going strong they are truly amazing machines

      @@camdencrotwell349 I actually got my first bike in July. I bought a Triumph Speedmaster second hand and it’s been a blast to learn on. Now, I’m looking for something a little bigger. I’m not opposed to a Honda. I’ve had Honda card and atvs and Honda has always served me well.

      It's an amazing ride. If you're ever in the salt lake area both little and big cottonwood canyon are great rides! What do you ride now?

      @@Chawsvids I am in Ontario Canada, so never in that area unfortunately. I ride a 2014 Triumph Daytona now. Also a 2023 Husqvarna TE150 (mostly off-road) and an ‘81 CB750… the Shadow was fun for slower cruises and rides through town.

    I just barely got myself a Shadow. Would love to take it up the Little Cottonwood once this snow clears up.

    • @Chawsvids
      @Chawsvids  ปีที่แล้ว

      Great choice - you'll love the shadow! We moved to St. George and I rode the bike down here and it did pretty good on the long trip on I-15 other than It got a little tiring when it was really windy. And it's wild how much snow there is up there this year but little and big cottonwood canyon make for some of the best rides!

    Somehow those shadows sound nice to me, surprisingly close to liking it as much as Harleys. Hear it's terrible with wind tho, on the legs and such. I wonder how it stacks up to other cruisers in that regard.

    • @Chawsvids
      @Chawsvids  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yeah the wind can definitely wear on you if you're doing longer rides. longest ride I've done at once is around 300 miles which was about 4-5 hours and I definitely noticed it then - when it was really windy for part of that It was kind of draining. but everyday city riding this thing is amazing. This exhaust makes it sound amazing too!

      Chin mount on the helmet. I have seen a few videos with chest mounts that looked great so I may try that eventually.

    Have you gotten your shadow past 90mph? I Have a stock 2016 and want to put some more open pipes on it and am thinking of tuning it with more power in the high-end torque but haven't really gotten a solid answer on if a shadow can handle a tune to get it past 100mph. Would love some advice on if it's worth it or if I should just sell and get something faster. I love my shadow but would like it to be just a bit faster.

    • @Chawsvids
      @Chawsvids  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I actually just installed the new pipes without tuning it. I weigh about 220 and can definitely get it to go between 90-100 but you can tell it’s at its limit at that point

      I have a stock 2018 shadow phantom. I'm also about 220, 6ft ish and I got mine to 96mph absolute tops. So you probably could but me personally I'd sell it and get like a Yamaha bolt or Indian scout or somethin

    • @GratefulOverlander
      @GratefulOverlander 2 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Read your question aloud to yourself, then think!!!
      It doesn't matter what he did, fact is after you change pipes you have to retune, period.
      Why do you think they sell kits that come with tuners? Most people just don't buy them because "they are to expensive"
      Cost brings up questions it shouldn't.
