According to the federal HESCHLAVVO law, it is already forbidden in Switzerland to drive combustion engines on mountain passes from 2025. In France, the SCHLABOUBVE regulates that fossil vehicles that produce fine dust are prohibited in all cities from 2025. The BABVVO in Germany will exhaust gas pollution from 2027 and that is what will happen in entire EU also bann of all tires and brakes because of fine dust!!!
Been lusting after one of these for years! Ever since my mate's dad bought a new 635CSi Highline in 1988. Managed to find a 1 owner (!) 1986 635 in March with 72000 miles and a full BMW service history offered for sale for £28000. Knocked the guy down to £26500 and drove away feeling very chuffed. Ok, it needed a bit of tidying up, so renewed all the brakes and did a full fluid change but now drives like a dream. Best thing, always been dry-stored so no RUST, the big bug-bear of the e24. Even my wife likes it (phew!) and the 1980s BMWs are SO much better looking than the latest pig-nosed crop. Peak BMW the 80s! Just off from Kent to North Yorkshire to give it a good blast! Cheers from a rather chilly Otford, Kent.
Great assessment. I have a 1986 e23. 735i. If I chopped two doors off I would quadruple its value. 😄 Probably makes it a great value classic. Agree with everything you said. Put your foot down and they have serious grunt.
You’re correct it is just silly how undervalued the sedans are in the BMW world. Compared to Mercedes they are better cars and 1/4 the price even if super clean. I think their time will come though. I have a 1987 L7 and it only has 6,200 miles on her 👍
Wonderful cars, they drive so well. However I wouldn't agree that they "go round corners like they're on rails" in my experience. They are fantastic GT cars, ride very well, but are tail happy and not particularly planted with slightly vague steering.
I imagine that Jaguar set their suspension to a softer for the US market. I'm a great fan of Jaguar's cars... but own 2 BMWs. Go figure ! Need to get myself an XJR and/or an XJ-S.
I’m still confused as to what the “Motorsport Edition” is. Did BMW call it that? What exactly is this option package? Where was it available ? In the US we hear of none of this except of course for an M6
Hello. Yes, it is. There is a link in the video description, so you can see more photos and read about it. Our contact details are on the website if you wish to discuss further. Thank you
Ridiculously good looking car.

One of my favorites....next to an E46.😊😊😊
I've not yet driven the E46, but if you can compare it with this CSi, it must be special. Thank you for watching and commenting.

Bavaria Prince:))
I am almost sure BMW's designers of today have never seen this car. Cause their design is so far away from these old classics today.

What crazy person would get a car like this with an automatic transmission? Blasphemy! 😡
Rally Cars Are 6000-7000 rpm
It is a standard production car
Automatic Gear Isn't Series So It Isn't Sport Enough!
rpm
standard factory auto gearbox
BMW in the 50's were a joke like Skoda or Lada
