What I love the most about this show is how PWB seems to appreciate contradictions. She's always making us laugh and cry at the same time, we find things funny while recognizing how incredibly fucked up they are, we find sweetness in interactions that are very dry on a surface level. She takes us on a journey with every scene, and never shies away from contradicting feelings. Which is why the 'kneel' scene works so well for me. We know a romantic ending between the two of them wouldn't be entirely ideal, and we know the kiss will mess things up in one way or another, especially when we're seeing Fleabag really open up for the first time in a while, but we also recognize the desire and the chemistry and the love these two feel for each other, and it's SO satisfying and so frustrating at the same time! Genius writing.
As much as I love hot priest, I thought he took advantage of her in that scene and wish it happened in a different way. The one moment she opens up, and that happens. Forgot how much it bugged me the first time I saw it.
Her monologe at the end broke me, when i first saw it. As someone who feels very lost and confused on how to properly live life, it hit a bit too close to home. Love this show so much and i hope you do too ❤
Too bad you couldn’t hear J.Lo’s Jenny from the block, in that scene in the church when Fleabag surprised the priest. I think the song was changed in the Amazon version for licensing reasons or something
Definitiely feel the same about what Fleabag needs as far as life direction. A lot of media portrays romantic and sexual relationships as the thing that makes a good life and peace but often it just brings disruptance and heartache when it's not the right time or the right person. I won't hint at what happens here, tho 😂 but you guessed right about one thing-- it's not an ending that's all happy and satisfying. Not PWB's style, I think. 🖤
People who think there should be a season 3 are dark, disturbing people pretending to be romantics, Stephen King did a great documentary about them called Misery
I do not think you guys understand visually, tonally, everything... How hot that kneel kiss scene was. Was it toxic af and taking advantage of her when in a moment where she was truly being vulnerable and trusting him??? Yes.Undoubtedly. But the IMPLICATIONS.... Of this scene is like uncontrollable passion that overtakes your discipline and control. Holy shit when I first saw that scene I hyperventilate and had to pause the show.

Completely agree; we loved that even Joe and Kevin disagreed on it. That is what great television is all about!

That was my initial reaction as well.

We love it. The growth of Fleabag as a character is as well written as anything on TV.
i feel her love for boo
So do we. It's interesting that Fleabag's trauma around Boo are never really faced by the character.

That would have been so much better to hear. Pity!
I find it kind of weird how comfortable I am just cutting out the kneel scene. I just feel bad about it. Which of course I think is part of the point
The nations panties collectively dropped when they saw that “Kneel” scene
PWB knew what she was doing when she got Andrew Scott to do that scene lol
I'm sure.Andrew Scott is as charming as it gets.

There is so much to cover in the last 2 episodes. We really love the show and would love a S3.

Mean. But fair. :)

Hearing how you want the show to end.... You might have a surprise headed your way (good or bad... In my opinion it was satisfying 😢)
Only an hour of the show left, and so much of it to resolve.
