I’ve done a bit of winching and what we’ve done before with that size of load is thread the winch line through a tire or two so if the line does break the tire will grab the wire rope and stop the recoil. Maybe some said it earlier in these comments.
If its a really long line, Ive tied a couple of towels to it as well so if it whips out of the tyre the towel slows it down massively cos retarding force as a result of air resistance increases with velocity and a towel creates a lot of air resistance

@Jay AR Stolen or not, it's in way too nice of condition have been there a year. Not covered in fallen leaves, no rust or tarnish, tires fully inflated
There’s rust on the hood, on the front bumper steel where it’s been hit, and paint knocked off.Corrosion in some undercarriage. Been there long enough for that to happen. This is high country, semi arid a lot of the year, it’s been snowed on all winter, snow naturally cleans a vehicle pretty well. No fresh tracks, so they’ve been washed away. Besides, why would he say it’s been there at least 6 months or longer if it hasn’t? Doesn’t make the video any more interesting if it’s been wrecked 1 year or 1 day.
