I have about ten out so far, I think I may have to put more out tonight, as they are coming in hoards. This is what I have been waiting for since last Fall...LOVE IT! Fountains are out, but they are not interested in them.

I love this!! ❤ We attracted a few species to our urban socal condo balcony garden. I’ve only ever seen three hummingbirds at our feeders and usually it’s only two. But lately we’ve attracted sparrows and now I’m hoping for a golden crowned! ❤❤❤❤.
How often do you change your water? I change mine every day but would like it to be less frequent. One of my fountains is a DIY bucket fountain with a lid. That one gets changed once a week. But the unlided fountain every day.

I don’t believe you can due to the fact that it uses such a small amount of power, and it withdraw from the power it the cord is too long. But I have a new set up coming tomorrow or the next day that may be the answer to Your issue and even more to come… Thanks❤

I took your idea and made a bubbler fountain ⛲ do you remember those old fashioned candle 🕯️ lights that ppl use for Christmas time for outdoors? Well the top of the candle came off so i took a 2 liter bottle took the plastic outter off and took my soldering iron and put holes in the bottle more less I just copied your idea but like I said i used the top of the candle/ wick part. And your right no sooner than i put it out our hummingbirds we're checking it out lol. They came back and took a splash bath in it and it was amazing to watch them. I thought I could lure lots of hummingbirds here in south Texas to feeders, but NOT! I went to the time and effort to make a bubbler fountain, but it has been cloudy everyday since I made it!!
When I went to your link for the pump I happened to see this one below it that has an auto power cut off for if the water gets too low. Keeps the motor from burning out. And it’s less than 1$ more!
Mosquitoes cannot produce in moving water, so keep that thought. So having a fountain that is moving at least 12 hours a day, the mosquito eggs cannot hatch in most varieties of mosquitoes.😊
How much "power" should the ideal fountain pump have? I bought one and it doesn't seem to be that strong. I see some are listed as 1.2W -1 80L/h, 1.5-4W 200L/H, etc. Thank you for all of your advice.
Hi Robbie, I know you use jumbo straws on the fountains, but what is the size of the clear tubing. I was looking at aquarium tubing, but it seems smaller.
Do you think I can make a fountain to hang in a hanging basket? I don’t have a flat surface high enough in our garden. I would tuck the power bank somewhere close.
My problem being on the East Coast is Raccoons come at night climb into the bird bath and chew my fountain. I have gone through 2 units just this spring. I have begun to wrap my bird bath at night with a plastic trash bag and so far, so good. Anyone else put their have solutions?
@@RobbieAndGaryGardeningEasy No. It is a tall ceramic bird bath. Raccoons are a constant problem. We lock out trash in the garage at night and try sprinkling Hot Pepper Sauce, Epsom Salt, etc to deter them from coming aroung. I hope one day they will get the message
Hi Robbie. I purchased the 2 items you listed for this water fountain. When they arrived it doesn’t appear they work. The battery doesn’t have connection that will fit with the pump. And the pump has no tubing or wires. Can you please speak to this?

I’ve made 4 of your humming bird fountains and have 6 feeders and still no hummingbirds 🥴 I’ve had all these out since April first I’m in S/W Missouri guess they don’t like my yard.
Hummingbirds will find you , don't worry, so you have some red flowers? Make sure some feeders are visible, then you can move them a little closer. Good luck.
If I can finish my video today, or tomorrow morning, I will get up a video of a new fountain that is so easy to set up with No Sun needed and No crafting work 😊❤ so check tomorrow

If your solar fountain turns off at night, do mosquitoes lay eggs in the stagnant water? I only want to use solar.

Where do you get the large straws?
Dollar Tree has them. Saw em at Walmart as well. Called Boba straws.

what is the best power bank to use? I bought an energizer bank and it would not run the small 9 v fountain pump.

If it’s not too hot, you could put it anywhere you want if it’s really hot try to put it in the shade
Isn't sugar water won't the sun damage that for the birds maybe best in the shade I'll try in shade first will let to no how I do 😊

Hummingbirds are not attracted to my "bubble" fountain? Don't like the solar. I didn't realize how fast the sun moves! I live surrounded by trees!
