Thanks for your recommendation! I have these, but they tend to be not durable and accurate, defeating the point of a hygrometer. I am using inkbird’s new product IBS-TH5 this year, a sensor with WiFi from Switzerland, a real hygrometer. Yes, this is my recommendation. It is a bit expensive but completely worth it.
The issue I have is that my freezer is normally at -10. The set up for setting the temp range only goes as low as -4. So the Govee alerts when the temp drops below -4. I called support and they said I was out of luck. They say that there is a new device coming out later this year made for freezers. I'm on the fence about returning it. I think I might just remove the alert and use it to see the temp while I am away.
I’ve set up the alert in the settings but then I tested it by putting the sensor out side in the winter and I didn’t get a notification. Can anyone advise?
@beem289 I have Govee leak sensor so not sure if this will also work the same way, but I had to create a routine in Alexa in order to get notifications for the leak sensor. You might have to do the same
I have had this device in my boat last year and it worked perfect. Howeven, I haven't been using it in the Summer. And now that I want to set it up in my boat again, I cannot get it to connect with the app on my mobile. The blue light is flashing approx every 4 seconds but the bluetooth on my mobile cannot find it! Anybody with the same problem?
I'm currently trying this, but without much luck.. Did you manage to do it? Alexa only shows humidity, Google home shows only temperature, but if I try to set a routine it allows only humidity to be used.. I just want to set my heater plug based on the temperature..
Great product. I don't use them for extreme temperatures, but once I got them off blue tooth and on wifi I am more than happy with their product.

I prefer a one without battery and plugs into a electric outlet, is there any?
How far away will the wifi version work?
I own a pair of them. They’re great! Recommend.
Love mine
I'm having wifi connection issues
do you need anything else like a bridge or a hub?
Nope just the app on your phone and you are all set!
I was of the understanding this would connect to home wifi and id be able to keep track of temps when away from home but doesnt seem to work
It used to work on wifi but it stopped and I cannot get it working
Must use 2.4ghz. If you have a AP/router that combines you must make them separate
What about the cloud services and monitoring when away from home
Yeah I just got it and doesn't seem to work like that you have to be close for it to connect to Bluetooth still unfortunately
anyone know if the app can be made to send a notification once temp reaches a specific high or low temp?
Yes you can set an alert in it's settings.

@@rjcspecialsame maybe try something in the phone settings

Weird, haven't had this issue unfortunately. Id reach out to their support team for help
@@Comm_Quest I did some days ago. No reply yet
Will I be able to read my freezers temperature from far away? Such as over 10 miles as long if the product is connected to wifi.
I have the same question. haven't been able to find an answer so far
How log batteries last ?
Assume you can use rechargeable AAA batteries ?
Can I set up a routine with alexa where it turns on/off a smart plug device depending on a temperature level?
This is what I was thinking of doing, putting smart plugs on electric heaters then setting a temperature limit to turn on and off

I can't seem to access the temperature when I'm away at work. Would you know the reason by any chance?
I don't sorry. Contact their support team about that
WIFI does not seem to work after i replaced the batteries. Cant seem to do a factory reset
Do you have to sign up for a service to use the app?
You’ll have to create account but no subscription fee or anything like that.
Is there a reset button
is your wifi network dual-band...? i'm having problems since changing modem/router
Mine is dual band yes, weird. I would reach out to their support team about that
My device once I try to pair it says that got encrypted... How can I "unencrypt it" ???
So weird... I would reach out to their support team on that one. I have honestly no idea
@@Comm_Quest thanks yeah I submitted a case to them. Would see what happened and post it
@@Comm_Quest I had to open a case with Govee using their app and they helped me by unbound the device so I was able to pair it again and make it work.
I have this also. Is there away to set notifications if there is a temperature change?
Not that I know of but you could reach out to their support team with that question I bet they'd know
not impressed with these. Mine has died and the 'reset button on the back' is just not there. Will not work on a MiFi 2.4ghz wireless.
Too bad! Mine still kicking. I'd reach out to their support for help
