- On July 4th 2024, Big Boy 4014 made a 30 minute stop in Morgan, on it was from Evanston to Salt Lake City. The town was also having its annual 4th of July parade down Front Street and dedication of their restored historic depot as a museum.
Great video, Lee. Thanks so much for sharing.
Thanks, I appreciate the compliment. Glad you enjoyed it.
What a great treat to see! Thank you Lee for sharing this wonderful piece of machinery, the Big Boy 4014! I can’t wait to see it on the way back through the 20th and 21st of July @ Union Station in Ogden. I know when I heard that distinctive whistle in my apartment that it was the Big Boy. I’m so glad and happy that they were able to get it back in working condition. 🫶👍🎉
Thanks Kirk, appreciate the comments. I'm with you 100%
Well put together
Thanks.
Awesome recording Lee, I appreciate your efforts ! I hope you and your family had a Happy 4th of July !
Greetings from Southern California;

Thanks for your good wishes from So. California. Seeing the Big Boy was a great reward on the 4th. My father was a conductor and he crewed the first Big Boy out of Ogden back in the early 1940's
@LeeWitten Wow, that's remarkable what a legacy ! I hope you enjoy your weekend Lee 😊
fun
It’s always a magnificent sight to see the Big Boy in action! I like that it had an Ex SP AC44CW with it.
You did a good job on recording those additional UP Freights rolling by, I even thought it was amusing to hear “You got a friend in me” from Toy Story during that parade.
Thanks for watching. It was a fun day.
This was the first steam engine I ever saw moving. I saw it both times it came to Utah during 2024, I also saw it on its way to Nevada, they were cooking going about 75, and gapping traffic
I have been seeing those new cars rolling behind trains around here in AZ
I was hoping to see the heritage passenger cars.
My son watched it leave salt lake last night
Always exciting to see the big black steamer. Glad your son had that experience. We'll see it in Ogden on the 20th.
@@LeeWitten I would love te see it but I don’t think it’s gonna get to omaha
@@charlesdail882 Yes, not this season....California, Oregon, Washington, Utah, and Idaho
