So here's the thing. All "woke" really means is not being racist, homphobic, transphobic, etc. And like equal rights for everyone. However ppl on both sides, have transformed the term into something else. Anti woke ppl (not you) are really like this. Hopefully I explained this correctly. Like I'm a legit communist, I'm active in my local party and 99% of breadtubers are just idiot pandering liberals. Real world leftists are not like them at all.
And remember they apply this uncritically to every new game, some without even releasing yet where you can play and fully form an informed opinion.
I’m convinced for these people if you released some old beloved female/minority lead games and media today, say Metroid with Samus being revealed as a woman in the end, it would’ve been endlessly trashed on for being DEI woke girl-boss garbage

I wanted to add something here. I had a convo with people in the comment section of a video hating on the act man. I was mainly saying that the woke stuff should not be an issue if it dose not hamper the game. They basically said woke stuff in games needs to be called out even if the game is good because the next game will be bad.
I wouldn't call what act man was doing dodging the question. From second 1 its clear these aren't real questions so there is no reason to give real answers. Had Andy not been so accusatory and begging act Man to call him homophobic so he could try to get a gotcha he prepared Act Man would have looked bad not really answering some questions.

Woke stuff is not the reason a game is bad
It's a red flag that a game is *going* to be bad
there are still alot of games that have "woke" things in them that are still my favorite games, main example being Baldur's Gate 3, which has bisexual companions and a gay vampire among many other things, but I don't really care cause at the end of the day it's a good game designed with love and care.
