I do pcb repair, and we use tweezers all the time for scrapping corrosion off sensitive components. I think when people see that they just see metal on metal, and don’t really understand that your only supposed to bear down hard enough to remove the corrosion, which doesn’t take much pressure at all. Also maybe don’t use brand new sharp tweezers. I always keep a well used dull pair for that very purpose.
isismos pry tools are quite thin and the best way to use them on the 6-7th gen classics or 3rd gen nanos from what ive seen, is to get about 4. and carefully just insert the tool to pop the clip without actually prying up, then just strategically going around the side, remoiving and reinserting
Hello great video, i am also trying to repair my ipod nano 3 but i am stuck with the soldering part and you don’t explain that much how you are doing it. Would you mind please to explain it more precisely ? Thank you.
Im planning to replace the front housing of a nano 3g with an aftermarket housing. The new housing wont have any adhesive on it, so what kind of adhesive should i use to replace the factory adhesive?
I repaired it and the battery works but when i charge it the symbol tells me it is fully charged although it is not, do you think it comed from the way i soldered the battery or an other problem ?
The battery might just not be calibrated. It should fix itself after a few full cycles of being charged to full/being uncharged, happens to reconstructed batteries
@@hh7426 i replaced again with an other battery i bought and that time i did the soldering well but the screen doesn’t turn on and it makes 4 beeps, did i kill my ipod ?
@@hh7426 new update i succedeed in turning it on but now it still gives me the logo that it is fully charged and although i let it charged a long time when i take the cable off it just says no battery and turns off, maybe it is linked with the board or the charging port
Links to buy parts and book a mail-in repair in the description!

That's not a nano
I think it's a classic
na it is, its a nano 3rd gen. Although it looks like a mini version of the classic 6/ 7th gen.
Oh, my bad
