- During these dark times we have a weapon that heaven gave us to use to save our souls & fight evil. Do we use it? What was the message of Fatima? Why did our mother come? Please remember to say 3 Hail Marys for the priest
Because of the Holy Rosary I was able to overcome a strong addiction to lust. Thanks be to God almighty and Our Lady for praying for us.

I left the Church for several years, did Bible study with another church. Over the summer I felt that I had been assaulted by demons... i just returned a few weeks ago to the RC Church and i feel SAFE - i feel a blanket of safety all around me and i started praying the rosary again right away.

I find it funny, as I follow Jesus, He adds to my understanding, Mary, saints, angels, sacraments and Protestants would just subtract that which God had given me. You are proud and ignorant and because of this have no understanding. God pours out riches upon me, a spiritual mother, a spiritual father, every saint a spiritual friend and brother or sister and you call them heaps of garbage and dead sinners.

You are wrong the creation of the church is the vehicle for salvation. The Old Testament precursor was Noah's ark if you stayed within it you stayed alive the majority perished because they were outside. The New Testament equivalent is the church instituted by Jesus Christ as you see He spoke in Matthew 16. Why do you reject the terms given by Jesus Christ?
to barry McGrath: Jesus' terms are found in John 8:21-24. Matthew 16 testifies of Peter's confession of Jesus being Christ the Son of the Living God. Peter was not proclaiming himself the first pope, he was proclaiming Christ as head of the church. It is the RCC who said Peter is their first pope, even though Peter made it clear that he was an elder, not a pope. Nothing wrong with believers gathering with other believers to worship and thank Christ for His saving blood sacrifice and resurrection. The book of Acts says that believers went from house to house breaking bread together remembering Christ's saving blood sacrifice and resurrection. If someone can't make it to a church building or to another believers house to break bread, it's not the end of the world, you can have church in your own home with your own family, with the husband/father being the priest of his family. All believers in Christ belong to the same priesthood, a priesthood that gives thanks and praises for what Christ has accomplished on the cross, not a priesthood as that of the OT offering sacrifices for the forgiveness of sins. And this is where the RCC IS wrong. The OT priesthood was abolished by Christ on the cross and in His resurrection, this also means that the sacrificial RC priesthood is worthless and needs to stop and desist.

The number of elders is not important.
Peter made himself clear, he said I am an elder, he didn’t say I am a pope.
Peter doesn’t have to be a RC pope in order to have the keys to the kingdom of heaven.
Your papacy has it’s members so convinced in believing that only the catholic papacy holds the keys to the kingdom of heaven because supposedly Peter was their first pope who passed those keys onto the Catholic Church.
The Catholic Church says Peter was their first pope, but that’s not what Peter said.
Keys means knowledge.
The keys that Jesus was talking about is the knowledge of knowing who Christ is and Peter confessed who Jesus is in Matt 16.
The keys are also having the knowledge of knowing the wonders that heaven has in store for us.
How can the RCC claim that it has the keys when this same church denies sola scriptura?
Anyone who confesses that Jesus is the Christ the Son of the Living God has the keys to the kingdom of heaven.

What about the Jesus Prayer of the Eastern Orthodox? Vain prayer too? The Rosary isn't vain in the first place. It is a continuous salutation and confirmation of faith and petition in Jesum Christum and Our Lady. If you find that offensive as a Christian, then continue scorning at your own peril and distaste.
The "Lords prayer" was an example by Christ on how to pray. Where did he tell anyone to chant this prayer over and over? Also, saying it once a day is hardly chanting it hundreds a day while you're holding prayer beads.
Jeremy James, you only pray once a day? I guess you haven't met people who pray The Lords Prayer 150 times a day or 150 Rosary. It matters very much to some people but surely not to you at all. In the taking down of the cross in the 7 sorrows people miss that Mary suffered the removing of the nails from her son and the removing of the crown of thorns. why is this so missed.
Wow!! I thought the true weapon against approaching evils was summed up in Ephesians 6:10-11, Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord and in the power of His might. Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places. vs 12-18, tells how to put it on.

I will put my two cents worth haha! We all need help right? Human help that is, ? but if we have freely given spiritual help why on earth wud we not take advantage of it? BVM is that help when we pray to her it is only to ask her to pray to her son Jesus for us. To repeat the same prayer over n over especially if we kneel is to do penance .... I wander how many of you were punished as a child by kneeling facing the wall ? I was!!! So kneeling is not worship. One church. Mary help of Christians pray for us. Amen. There were many whose names were Mary n Joseph in Bible. So many othee denomination church gets confused n say that Mother Mary had other children. Jesus bestowed the care of our Mother to John .
The rosary or any Marian devotion is optional according to church teaching. You don't need to say the rosary in order to be saved, however, it may be very difficult without it.

There's a sermon on here "Christ is the point" that helped me out to not worry. Also, I trust the media on these issues as much as a rabid dog. Meaning don't read jack from secular media. Churchmilitantv has been doing a great job with the reports. Nothing will change this is like before Humanae Vitae when everyone was saying "the Church is going to change & accept contraception" and then HV and Catholic truth won over but many disobeyed. We'll see disobedience after truth gets proclaimed. Don't worry about Rome though worry about becoming a saint & helping to convert everyone you see to the one true Church

6) Mother Superior ( name, ? ) at the congregation of nuns at Venezuela, whose life story I just newly heard.

The Fame of St Vincent Ferrer :
I heard a little of the story of St Vincent Ferrer because there is a town known as having a church for the shrine of St Vincent Ferrer ( a distance of a few towns down the south) in our island province in Cebu, Philippines ; folks flock over there for devotion and because ever since then ( from the advent of the turn of the 20th century) some healings were heard to happen.
I also heard about St Vincent Ferrer from the devotion of my late grandmother.
Also some jeepney - passenger drivers, as well, would hang statuettes of St Vincent Ferrer in front of their jeepneys, put up there probably by their jeepneys- owners , for the protection of the passengers and in their journeys.

The rosary is not in the Bible, therefore it is false, but Isaiah wrote. "No weapon formed against you shall prosper..." (54:17a). That was for Israel in the physical realm. In the spiritual realm: "Now thanks be to God who always leads us to triumph in Christ...." (2 Corinthians 2:14a). It is in Him and not in any man made prayer that we receive blessings.

Who said everything is in the Bible? There was no Bible when Jesus walked the earth. It was Sacred scripture that was interpreted by the Church (Magisterium ). Did Jesus stop as he was ascending to Heaven and said to the Apostles “ BTW read my book” No! Jesus said to the Apostles follow my Teachings and Traditions his GOSPEL! Every Mass everyday that is said on this planet the Gospel is read and meditated on then after that in the Mass we are given the gift of the Eucharist. You can’t get any personal than that with Jesus- John chapter 6. That my friend happens everyday around the world and oh how so many refuse to receive it. That is much more beneficial than an altar call stirring up emotions.

Only Jesus came into the flesh sinless, not Mary.
Mary said that all generations will call me blessed, she never said all generations will call me sinless, she never said to pray to her. The apparition that appeared to St Dominic wasn't Mary, it was Satan disguised as Mary. Why would Mary appear to someone claiming it is her and then tell that person to pray to her in a rosary form?

Have you read the history of why the Holy Rosary existed? It was to oppose the Albigensian heresy given to St Dominic by the Blessed Virgin in the early 13th century.

The apostles never once preached about the necessity of belonging to a man made name organization. The bible says to pray in Jesus name, it does not promote praying to Mary in her name. The bible has the last word, before creating a doctrine or dogma , check the bible first, if it ain't there then don't do it. Example praying to Mary in her name, the bible does not support that. But the RCC says that not everything has to be in the bible. Yes it does. The bible does not support praying to Mary in her name, therefore don't do it. I'm pretty sure that God appreciates us honoring His Mother. We Catholics do not, and I will repeat do not, worship the Blessed Virgin Mary, We only ask Her intercession. Anyone in his or her right mind would appreciate someone honoring their mother, wouldn't you? She IS the Mother of God. GOD THE FATHER, GOD THE SON AND GOD THE HOLY SPIRIT. ( THE HOLY TRINITY ).

Please pray about this. We must be loving and honest with people who have same-sex attraction, and this does not include encouraging same-sex sex. It is more loving to help those with same-sex attraction to seek chastity, even if that is difficult, just as chastity is difficult for those who are heterosexual, in other words all of us.

immaculateboy I am a sinner and when I am called out in my sin truth, it is a dig to my conscious. If I wasn't in sin, would I feel the "dig?" I think the dig in itself is a grace and a call to conversion. I hope this helps. God bless you.

Christ said that those who follow God are not dead but alive. The church is not just earthly, but also spiritual, extending all the way to heaven. We then as Catholics are commanded to pray for each other, this includes the Saints in heaven praying for us. One of these saints is the greatest creature to ever exist, namely The Blessed Virgin Mary. She then has the most merit in her prayers to God for us. None of the saints are dead, but alive forever!
