    Thanks Matt! I’m glad we’re moving in the right direction because I already created a whole system of labels and I’m going to share your tips with the engineering teams to let them know the cool things they can do!

      That's awesome Sergey. You've already done the hard work. Now it's time to do the cool stuff. :)
      To make your pages even better, I totally recommend using Excerpts as short descriptions. A lot of macros will display the Excerpt, which leads to some cool results. We wrote all about this here: www.k15t.com/rock-the-docs/documentation-guide/content-reuse/add-short-descriptions

    Hi,
    The Smart Labels for Confluence harnesses the power of AI to automatically generate page labels. If you have existing labels within a particular space, the app smartly integrates those into its process.

    Can you create label sets/groups that allow you to group like labels together? I use a "key-value pair" approach to labels as a way to achieve field like searching. For example instead of labels for regions like EMEA, APAC, US, CANADA my label name is REGION-EMEA, REGION-APAC, REGION-US, REGION-CANADA. I would like to group these labels into a REGION group to allow for filtering. This is similar to defining choice columns in sharepoint then using filtering capability in sharepoint lists.

      Hi David,
      no we're not aware that you can group labels, but what you can do is simply adding a second one. In your example you would add the label "region" and "canada". You can then select the filter "region" to get everything which has the region label applied and you can do further filtering on those content pieces.
      Where do you want to use this filtering? Within the search or on a page? Depending on that you might have different alternatives.
      I hope this helps.
      Cheers,
      Steffen

    can the Content by Labels macro be set up to prompt for the label to search for? I would like to go to a Contents by Label page that has a prompt for a label or labels that is fed into the Content by Labels macro

    Really helpful thank you. Can I ask is there a way to search for all pages that do not have a label? Thanks

      Ohhhh, great question. So, the Confluence team has done a great job of documenting the ways you can browse all the pages with certain labels, both across the site and within a certain space: support.atlassian.com/confluence-cloud/docs/use-labels-to-organize-your-content/#Browse-labels
      We were playing around in the URL of these pages, to see if we could add the "!~" (does not equal) CQL operator in there, but unfortunately, we had no luck. So there's no way that we know of to show pages without a given label, but we're hopeful that maybe you figure it out and share your knowledge.

    The Labels List does not seem to specify labels from ALL spaces when no space is selected? Also, in the Labels List display is there a way to display the Space name from which the Labels List is displaying?

    Hi,
    While i'm within my group Space (within the entire organization), is there a way I can add a macro to ONLY "search by label".? (Other than the advanced search, which unfortunately searches all of our Confluence)

    • @_k15t
      @_k15t  ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Nick,
      you can add the Confluence Live Search macro to your page. Here you can define with filters what the scope of the search should be: You can define the space, type of content (blog, page, comment) and, what you're looking for, which labels the content should have applied.
      Let me know if that solved your problem.
      Cheers,
      Steffen

      @@_k15t Yes thank you, but what I need to be able to do is to use the "Live Search" macro, but be able to search on ONLY the labels my team applies to the Tags at the bottom of a page. Example: If a team member uses a label called "checkpoint", we'd like for it ONLY to retrieve the pages with that tag in the label section of those pages. Did I explain that better.? Yes I know we can do it in the advanced search, but I would like to embed the label ONLY search in another page in our "spaces"

    Hey Folks - thanks for the video, lots of great ideas. One thing I'm struggling with. I want to display the labels for each page within the page content itself, but I can't see how?

    • @_k15t
      @_k15t  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Simon,
      currently you can't display the labels within the page content. You can either list all labels of a space with the label list macro or display content with the content by label or related pages label macro.
      You can see labels of a page at the bottom right before the comment section begins.

    is there a way to apply a label from pre created list?

    • @_k15t
      @_k15t  ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi,
      You can add labels to page templates which will automatically be applied if a page is created from that template. Otherwise Confluence will remember existing labels which means that if you start typing to add a label to a page, you'll get a list of existing labels.
      Hope this helps.
      Cheers,
      Steffen

    Thanks Matt for the video . But I have a Question , It is possible to use "Tags" instead of Labels ? I am working on Confluence and I am not an expert . My Collegues create some pages on confluence and it is very difficult for us to find a specifically information in this chaos🤣 . Now To want to used "Tags" to better organise it . Thank you for your help 😊

      Hey Roméo,
      thanks for your feedback and question!
      What exactly do you mean by "tags"? Can you make an example?
      If you refer to hashtags like #this then this is not possible. Confluence offers the label feature which works nearly the same as "hashtags".
      Or are you referring to another feature?
      Also what exact problem are you facing here? You mentioned that it's hard to find pages, are you referring here to the Confluence Search?
      We've made another video about how to optimize your pages for a better findability.
