Haven't finish the video, but I can already like hear my memories calling back.....I have been watching him (and Jerma) since early 2012, these two, until these days , are my favourite TH-camrs. No matter it is STAR_ or ster, to me , he is still the asshole-like gamer boy that everyone love.

Jerma does random games all the time but also have his "series",those being Fallout New Vegas,Dark Souls 3 and Mafia 3. 2ndJerma is the highlights of his streams
You really should follow him on Twitch thought,it's not that he has abandon the channel and the subscribers,but TH-cam sucks compared to Twitch in basically everything.
But yes,we'll always miss the good old times when they were this great couple with lots of funny contents,but I don't think it's ever going back to normal,just like most things it tragically ended

Google's the creativity killer. Back in the day, creative and care-intensive videos actually made money for those who created them. Animators, for example. But with the changes they implemented, view time started to count for more than views themselves, so videos that actually took time and effort became overall less efficient if you wanted to make a living. The quality "let's players" like Star were forced to either make crappier videos that didn't meet their own standards, or go somewhere else. Oh, and animators went from making a living to making next to nothing, because no one can make a ten minute animation every day. Maybe every few weeks if they tried really hard.
If you're going to put let's play levels of effort into your content, Twitch is the place to do it. On TH-cam it's just obnoxious, but Twitch is a good format for it. More relaxed, way less time intensive, and most importantly viewer interaction in moments not weeks.
Anyways yeah I miss the old vids too, but blame Google not Twitch. They bought TH-cam and made it this way.

He just really doesn't seem to be in it for the money. He's made videos that could still make money unlisted, just because they were irrelevant. Like he said he could've made a BASICALLY: TF2 video and made way more money on the BASICALLY series, but he didn't want to so he didn't.

Wow. That part when he talks about "coffee cheetos chicken" actually really hit me hard. To be honest, even if I like both ster and jorma, I still had a light preference towards Jerma because of his goofy and over the top attitude, in contrast to the more grounded and rad attitude of STAR_. Jerma was just the funny guy, and STAR_ the cool guy, and that was why Sterma worked so well. But I can't help but kind of understand ster's frustration, because Jerma, to me, always felt like a runner-up, and a lot of people tend to cheer the second roles (look at the Luigi fandom next to the Mario one); but I still know a lot of my friends preferring STAR_ because he was just cooler, I guess. I don't want to bash down the two dudes though; after all, I spent so many of my hours of free time watching them goof around doing stupid things. And I'm eternally thankful for that. I don't follow their streams because I don't care about Overwatch, but at least, I hope they are alright and happy with what they do. STAR_, Jerma, you two are amazing and will stay amazing. Keep going on your paths. Also, shoutouts to the eternal Budsquad, with tagg, Lange, seanbud, Whisker, powah, cyzer and Auzzie; good times, good times :)
I think this is a good description of their dynamic. I think they’re both very funny but in different ways. Ster is funniest when he can plan out his jokes whereas Jerma is funniest when he’s improvising. I think that’s probably why Ster did more scripted and edited videos like how Basically series near the end of his run on TH-cam and eventually moved on to Myriad, while Jerma moved to livestreams where he can not only come up with jokes on the fly but also play off the chat to make jokes even funnier. It’s sad that they’ve moved on from their old style (I especially miss Jerma’s TH-cam videos since I usually miss his livestreams and the highlights for those streams are a lot longer than his old videos used to be), but it’s also nice to see them doing what they enjoy and playing off their strengths.
I stopped watching STAR_ after he became an Overwatch streamer. May he rest in peace.
