- THE PLAYER
This is a story about sport, feelings, emotions, memories attached to the career’s life of a soccer player of Italian C1 league.
In football there are stories of players who have not played in the Italian Premier League or Champions League, but they have lived their football player lives with the same intensity and the same involvement of the great world-class champions.
Each athlete in his career is tied to its own success to a challenge remembered as a victory and or to the bitterness of a defeat.
Giulio Forte our protagonist, played in the Ternana in the C2 League championship on the1988-89 season, with a midfield role and played the biggest match of his career with in this team in the C1 League series playoff in Cesena, against Chieti team.
A match that saw the involvement and excitement of the entire city of Terni, a small town of the province of Umbria, where a the promotion waited for 10 years was finally embraced.
A match of a thousand meanings.
A hymn to the passions of men: THE PLAYER captures the excitement of a city for a dreamed and achieved League promotion that tells the life of a football player from the start of his career until the most important match and the feelings that run through the player when his career ends and thinks about his own future.

In tutto questo video si respira uno sconfinato amore per il calcio. È uno dei più belli e commoventi che mi sia mai capitato di vedere e proprio per questo lo guardo con il contagocce... perché anche dentro di me, che il calcio l'ho solo sfiorato, apre un abisso di pensieri e di nostalgia.
