The points off turnovers the Thunder are going to score is somehow going to go up from where it already is once Roberson comes back, if he can shoot the 3 ball efficiently to help with the spacing, I'm feeling a little less confident about the Warriors walking out of the West.
Roberson can't shoot to save his life. Great on ball defender tho
@@Fresh0710 he doesn't need to be a lights out shooter, but if he's been able to work on his 3 in the latter stages of being out recovering to the point that other teams have to show him some kind of respect out there and open the floor up, that's going to create bigger spaces for everyone else on the OKC offense. Even if he could shoot sort of 30-35% from 3, other teams would have to think about him a little more at the very least.

they was doing that, injuries held them in 2012-13, 2013-14 and 2014-15. They still managed to reach 4 WCF, choked in 2015-16 but out of the 8 seasons durant was there, their was always injuries holding them back

When Roberson returns, thunder will have the best def lineup against the warriors. Russ on Steph, Andre on Klay, Pg on KD, Grant on Green and Adams on Boogie. Really no terrible mismatches.

The play against the Cav's is what it's all about for the thunder everyone touched the ball that play ball movement and setting yourself up moving without the ball to be in scoring position is what the thunder never had from their role players but this year guys like grant the addition of Noel and Dennis and t.ferg finally kind of finding himself I think Nader might need a lil more playing time and when dre comes back it's going to be a scary site for anyone
Once Roberson's back, they're pretty much going to have lockdown defenders at every position, which is a scary thought and I think the potential of what their bench could produce in a game is probably one of the best in the league, especially if T-Ferg moves back on to the bench once Roberson comes back. It'll be interesting to see how they decide to lineup when he does return though because they could run with Russ-T Ferg-Roberson-PG-Kiwi or they could slide Roberson back in at the 2 and go Russ-Roberson-PG-Grant-Kiwi, either way they're very strong lineups.

Russell Wedtbrooks always been a hard defender, always giving effort just like every other aspect of his game, but... I really feel like Paul George has really forced him to refine his defensive game to be more effective which not only benefits himself but the team as a whole. Great Work OKC

To me if Roberson doesn’t come back with the same defensive intensity he had before the injury i think Presti needs to SERIOUSLY think about keeping Burton on the roster( not like they did with huestis keeping him in the D/G league most of the time) long term. Guy plays hard on both ends and has the ability to stretch the floor

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I do feel like Adams contributes more on offense than he does on defense. I've watched a pretty good amount of games and Nerlens Noel gets more blocks a game than Adams. He's a big guy so he doesn't really have hops to block guys. He's more of an asset on offense. Just my opinion, feel free to give yours!

@@DjCopl3x Adams is still a solid defender though, Noel might get more blocks but Adams plays more solid and dependable defense going into crunch time because rarely does he get blown by, posted up on and comes up with a lot of steals. Adams is probably just as good of a defender as Noel just with a better post game.
DjCopl3x it’s like the difference between Roberson and PG on defense, Pg I think will force more turnovers, but Roberson is more focused on getting stops and forcing a possession deep In the shot clock. Now, I’m not saying that Roberson doesn’t get steals and PG doesn’t force a tough offensive possession, I just think that’s their true defensive role

The Thunder are the best turnover forcing team in the NBA and it isn't really close. With all the length and defensive effort by the team, now that Westbrook is focusing on D, you might as well just not pass. When Roberson comes back you might as well just not shoot threes either. Other teams will just have to hope that Steven Adams and PG13 get in foul trouble and that westbrook has an especially bad shooting night

My point is that most of the teams they show that okc is making good defensive plays on are trash teams in the east or teams in the west that are in the bottom half of the conference. Not discounting the defensive effort but still not very impressive video to prove that they are a good defensive duo.
