"Well, can I ask you, about today? How close am I, to losing you?"
To the lovely commenter who requested an “Afraid” Part II (I can’t remember who you are at the moment); I consider this video a continuation of that one. This video explores how Rick and Michonne deal with their devastating losses, and living under the thumb of a tyrant. They have yet to process or even discuss what has happened. Rick doesn’t want to fight right now, because he is afraid of the greater loss it could bring, while Michonne simply can’t deal with sitting idly by, and finds herself reverting to some of her old tendencies. I want to make it clear that their relationship is incredibly strong. Seeing their relationship be challenged but ultimately endure through this situation is an incredibly powerful story, and I hope I do justice to that idea.

That scene where Rick and Michonne looked at each other was so sad. Rick knowing there wasn't anything he could do to protect Michonne or Carl, and Michonne knowing there wasn't anything she could do protect him and his son.
"and I just watched you" you hit the right spot on the moments he watches her walk away, ugh so amazing
I also have to say, I love how the narrative is always in sync with the words of the music. it just makes you feel everything so much more.

Most of Richonne video are kisses and stares and more kisses. But you made a very moving video with their weak moments, when they're driven with sadness and powerless feelings, which make them take the wrong decisions. And that song you choose. It's such a great video!

This was well made but the music and the scenes you chose made me feel sad. I like it because it is different from all the edits I've seen so far and at the same time I don't because I feel so much more conflict between them in this video. It's as if they never agree with each other and they're never at the same place.
"Never"? Rick and Michonne have almost always been on the same page; the fact that they aren't this time around is why their relationship is being tested. But just like in Season 5, Michonne has made it clear to Rick that she is still with him. She wants to try, for him. And in the last episode, she didn't let him leave without giving him a reassuring kiss and a real goodbye. No strong relationship comes without conflict. I wanted to make an emotional video that is true to where they are right now while still displaying the strength of their bond and the fear of losing the one you love... I'm sorry if you weren't feeling it.
This season is a little faster than the rest isn't it? So much has happened in the first 4 episodes. I don't get why the ratings are dropping so much in one of the best seasons of the show...
Tertu Ndokosho i call it the"fair weather friends" syndrome, when rick and his team we're invisible, the fans we're onboard, but know that things have taken a dark turn,and things are getting bad for them,Nobody wants to hang in with them,those arent real fans,so good riddance to them!
melodysprings k that's probably the best answer. TWD was never a happy show so I don't get why people are so butthurt now that's its gone back to its true origin. But they are and would love if they just went away and stopped complaining all the time.
