It happened to my father, it was done by an uncle. My parents were sending money to him, he did not start the work, until when he heard that we were coming back home, he put up a horrible building. In another instance, I had to send a message to somebody who is based in the USA about the poor finishing of his country home. He then took the decision to travel home regularly to ensure that things were done properly. You are right. I am a civil engineer living in UK. I have helped many people in diaspora using trusted contractors, but I personally supervised their work via video calls & monitor day to day progresses. I do the estimates for every stages myself & let the owner know. Any family member back there in Nigeria don’t get any cash directly. They can only go there & report progress to the owner too if the owner so wish. I personally lost some money myself over trusting someone to assist me build mine. Fortunately when I got home after completing to decking stage, I took over from there as the quality to that decking stage was a total mess. I have saved myself more money, & quality is second to none. Be wise!
Hmm! Thank you for doing your best to enlighten people. Now it makes sense when most Nigerians were happy when covid 19 was killing most BAME in US and UK.
This kind of a thing happened to me in particular, my twin brother did it to me, but if i may say you should let her know what's going on, so that she will know how to follow his brother in terms of sending money.
Surely my sister, I’m a Liberian live in the US & we do face the same with some of our evil people back in Liberia too. This is happening all around Africa. One of the same thing we’re doing now is to go down in my country to build our own houses then trusting family members.
charliikamakarzii I would take the loss.... bulldoze the house, donate the bricks to a charity and sell the land to someone. I bwould never speak to him again and let him finish his palace with his own money
This world that we are is a teacher,if the person tells the sister and the brother gets to find out the person that told the sister about the secret house he was building, he can go as far has harming the person, the brother is desperate and can be dangerous, pls tell the person to hide his or her identity before passing the information to the sister.
It's a wicked world were hardly you can find who to trust not even a family member. It is best she is informed in order for her to know how to trade with them for safety reasons.
My aunt did the same thing to my mother. Told mum plots of land were for sale but doubled the price of the land. Mum sent money. She bought 2 plots, one for herself and another for my mum. ( aunt put both in her name by the way) . Mum asks for receipts from land board. Aunt always fails to send them. She "encourages" mum to build instead. Mum gets house plans, saves for labour and building material. Aunt says she's ready to receive the money. Mum gets suspicious coz no receipts have been sent in months so she decided to come monitor the first part of the building. Fortunately Mum has her own builder unknown to aunt who agrees to do the construction. Aunt welcomes mum to her house assuming money is just being left with her but to her surprise mum says she'll be there a month to monitor the construction. Things got rough very quickly. Mum stayed with aunt 5 days and went and rented a wooden cabin with no floor and stayed on the construction site for the rest of her stay. When she left the foundation was done and walls were at window level. She came back sunburned and so skinny. 10 years later the house is complete but every year we've been trying to get the names changed. Aunt ALWAYS ALWAYS has a story. Now that my siblings and I are older we've taken over from mum and have engaged lawyers for the name change. Fortunately Mum still has proof for funds transfer to aunt and correspondence about aunt buying the house on her behalf. By the way..... this is my mother's very own younger sister.
You are very correct, finishing is in my opinion way more expensive than even the builring itself o. I kniw exactly it, since how many months now my sister have been finishing mine, i trust her and her husband though.
Please tell her ooo cos if she find out herself she can just pass out and die. Please tell her. I’m watching your channel for the first time and I like it. God bless you dearly
You gave a very good advice....you must be there monitoring what is going on in addition get to know what it is to build house....building house is not that expensive like they make it to look...
These things are mostly happening in British Africa. They are hardly happening in French Africa. British colonial countries in Africa have mastered the British deceitful and manipulative ways and defrauding one another.
@@AnnieSpecial92861 The stories from Francophone countries are minute compared to English Africa. The British African colonies act the same way as their colonial master.
lol , My sister the person is lucky she has a house wow its because like you said her brother does not no how we Africans abroad have to suffer. Me I am building in Africa I go down 2 or 3 times for the year and where ever I reach when I down there I stop and return.
What about if his plan is to make her complete both and them de1ete her so as to cover up. I was in similar situation. My immediate senior. He never intended to tell. I drove to site in the car I gifted him. A guy waived me thinking it was him. From the body language I knew something was up. Tipped the guy N50 and he took me to his site. One vacant plot separated us. Come a see flurries of calls. It was a gang up. All the workers and neighbors were in on it. I had to run back to re-group. Fired all and got my on workers. Honestly, if you don't fear Nigerians!
This happen to a man in the US too, after his brother built the house for him, when is time for him to come back to live in his house, the brother in Nigeria made him mad. Till today he is running around the street sweeping every day.
I blame the lady! Why? Is her brother a building professional? There are so many professionals that have built house for clients abroad and have never met the clients. Life is more about perception. She should not use her experience to generalize. I'm a building professional and I cannot count how many client's I have worked for and we met only after I have completed the job. It's not good mixing business with sentiments. Whether you are building or buying, land or houses, use serious professional, please!
Dear Oyinbo Obodo, please let the lady be told the TRUTH. She is entitled to know and then decide, what she will do with her very HONEST and TRUTHFUL blood brother. LG Victor
She deserves to know the truth please. I feel for her because I know what we're facing in America. She needs to know so she can take a decision of either selling the house or give it to a developer because danger is on her way.
All is about trust and upbringing. My brother helped my husband and I build our house and so many of his friends and relatives member. Nobody ever complained, he always send details of the acct and pictures of the progress. Even is the one managing our father's properties and is not the 1st born of my Dad. It depends on who you are inside out.

Our people are so wicked.....they do not know how we struggle....the neighbour should tell her. We must not close eyes when evil is going on around us.
2016 i made some money from housekeeping and laundry sent some to my younger sister to keep hoping to buy land. My sister took some money and did MMM with the hope of making more. Thank God i called her i wanted my money to get the land and she was telling me stories. I was able to get some of the money back. Talking about this issue just buy a house and save yourself the stress of family demons...
I think she should be told How can she be working tirelessly and one brother is just reaping where he hasn't sown? After being told, she shouldn't react but withhold sending money for sometime. See what brother will do Do not trust anybody with your money in Nigeria, people are wicked!
Pls she needs to know as earlier as possible so that she will know the true colour of her brother. Secondly, in order not to develop high blood pressure when it's too late. Pls encourage her to be very prayerful as well. To be sincere this was exactly what happened to me last year. If no one told me, I will still be sending money home and still be giving the person a lot of money for helping me to build my property .I'm telling you, my blood pressure went high up when I heard the news. I didn't let him know that I was coming home. To God be the glory I took everything away from him. People are very wicked. No one to trust. This is what is happening to alot of people nowadays Imagine working nonstop in abroad. If care is not taking he can claim the two houses once he's got all the papers with him. Abi no be our people? May God help us. We shall not labour in vain in Jesus name.
Am a victim my junior brother bought the land with his own name and was lavishing my hard earned money, am still crying in silent since 2014. Please let the sister know what's going on.
This so true that you can't trust your siblings even your mother in Nija... I'm questioning my brothers inflated spending of the money sent from the UK to him in Nija to look after our old age sick mother every thing seems so extremely priced especially the medical bills that his doctor friend is charging us but my siblings here wont let me question him or he might stop looking after our mother.... and he is a Reverend and a Lawyer
I am a Nigerian living in Brazil and if i was in Nigeria to build a house for any of my family abroad, I was gonna tell them to pay for my services doing the job. honesty is key in life. Let the sister know what is happening, please tell her the truth for the sake of God and not hiding the truth for the sake of human/family.
This is not just Nigeria ! My husband is Gambian and FOUR members of his family at different times have cheated me like this !! Why do they cheat their own brothers and sisters ??
Nawangha Kubu in my case one is now a lawyer in Atlanta G another spent 9yrs in UK ! So no it was not poverty !! Just dishonesty ! But all 4 are praying 5x daily ! 😡just cheats
Nawangha Kubu sure is especially when to help the one in USA he knew to help him it went on my credit card , he promised to pay back in 2mths and never paid anything , so I struggled to pay Barclay card £2000 + interest
My suggestion as to the case on ground is that the woman can inform her of what is going on, provided if the lady in question can pretend not to have heard anything about what is going on . At this point she should stop sending home for the project.
The brother even tried to buy a land and build a house for the sister. There are many cases where they neither buy a land nor build a house. The sister should verify the land documents he showed her if it's even in her name. Let the sister use that one to settle her brother. The brother will live in his own house to take care of his sister's own. The sister should not take offence but let her brother to know that she is aware that he's the owner of the other house. That she is happy she didn't misuse the money. There will be peace.
My sister the same thing happened to me. I have a cousin who did that to me in Haiti. He did not build a house for himself but stole my money, fired my engineer without my consent and hired someone in the village to build my house until another cousin and my auntie told me.. I stopped him from going to my construction.
Why build a house there? Is it by force? To impress who? Are you going to benefit from it or are others benefiting from it. You cannot trust anyone. Oversea your own project. As we speak people are planning to fall into the same trap.
@ Che ryl.....People have different reasons for doing what they do and we have to respect that. Some are planning to retire back home so they build themselves a retirement home while some build as an investment property to be sold off later in life when they are older with less income and the property has appreciated in value.
Don't trust them back home to build for you. For the case of the nurse in USA please kindly let her know, it's very important for her to know because money is so hard to make. Every other person building should go and check first before you proceed for your own good.
My sista it's not just nija. The Caribbean too the same thing are happening alive with the help of social media we hear more.!!.p.s don't talk her leave family alone she may say the neighbour tell her then there's a problem .she has money to spend let her spend until she wakes up .
She should be careful because these people are evil,it happened to i and my husband, his best friend was the one handling the project for twelve years ours was not completed but his was completed and moved in, all we did is to stop the project and start another.
Definitely tell the sister. Whatever damage anyone is trying to avoid will only get worse with the silence. If this person cannot tell, let him/her pass the info to me. I will help inform the sister of what is happening to her money. I want to be the one to scatter such family nonsense

Princely Monju so am I, I just found out within the first few months of starting my project.
Be wise!
Aunt B I think she should know what is going on. My elder brother in the UK was defrauded by my younger brother in Nigeria.
Wow, that's sad!!
I stand with telling her. She will continue to struggle and work for the the heartless brother if not told.
New subi in the BUILDING! Nice channel 🤝👍🏾✍🏾📈🚀🤑
Hmm! Thank you for doing your best to enlighten people. Now it makes sense when most Nigerians were happy when covid 19 was killing most BAME in US and UK.
Wow!. That's very sad.
where do you have the records of that happening?
This kind of a thing happened to me in particular, my twin brother did it to me, but if i may say you should let her know what's going on, so that she will know how to follow his brother in terms of sending money.
Watching from USA
We should tell the sister straight up and that useless brother should be severely punished for that! Honestly, this is a very cruel act!
Surely my sister, I’m a Liberian live in the US & we do face the same with some of our evil people back in Liberia too. This is happening all around Africa. One of the same thing we’re doing now is to go down in my country to build our own houses then trusting family members.
Nice one dear..
Much love from sandymodest Tv ❤️
I also think it is his name that is on the house. At the end 'a se egbon e si ilu Oyinbo a fi ile rent' not impossible.
Simple solution: tell her anonymously. She will handle the rest.
th-cam.com/video/DEwO7F-AEjs/w-d-xo.html
Thanks for sharing sister B. The neighbor should tell the sister asap. If l am the neighbor, l will tell the sister without blinking eyes.
Tell her. And she needs to go and handle her business herself. Cut off those payments.
charliikamakarzii I would take the loss.... bulldoze the house, donate the bricks to a charity and sell the land to someone. I bwould never speak to him again and let him finish his palace with his own money
The neighbor should tell her. As for me that live in America,I try to invest more here because my kids will not go to Africa and live there.
Very good, your kids can become second class citizens in America.
My dear.think of building in Africa.East or west.Home is best
@@gracegeorge7285 if you had something at home you would not say that. Living hand to mouth abroad is worse than being in prison
My sister is true this happens with me in cameroon 🇨🇲
You should tell the sister, otherwise, you would be shielding the evil brother. Call a spade a spade. A stitch in time saves nine. Chilaka Anyanwu
Thank you for your advise. Will think it through very carefully.
Thank you for sharing with us this information
Please tell her ooo cos if she find out herself she can just pass out and die. Please tell her. I’m watching your channel for the first time and I like it. God bless you dearly
Thank you for this information sister ❤️
You gave a very good advice....you must be there monitoring what is going on in addition get to know what it is to build house....building house is not that expensive like they make it to look...
She is even lucky that the brother built something for her. Others have sent and not even a plot bought. Well few people like us are very fortunate!
These things are mostly happening in British Africa. They are hardly happening in French Africa. British colonial countries in Africa have mastered the British deceitful and manipulative ways and defrauding one another.
I don't think so....I've heard similar stories from francophone Africans...
France is not any better.
@@AnnieSpecial92861 The stories from Francophone countries are minute compared to English Africa. The British African colonies act the same way as their colonial master.
The francophone Africans with use voodoo to spiritually finish you as an added weapon
@@olubaka But, they are at least not deceitful and manipulative like English Africans.
@@bissy8172 I have a properties in Benin Republic. I'm talking from experience. Seriously.
lol , My sister the person is lucky she has a house wow its because like you said her brother does not no how we Africans abroad have to suffer. Me I am building in Africa I go down 2 or 3 times for the year and where ever I reach when I down there I stop and return.
It is dicey situation. If the neighbour tells the truth, he/ she may become a victim of her brother.
Am also a victim of Family in Benin City , Nigeria 🇳🇬, 👍🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾😘
It happened to my ex, the elder brother did same to him and up till now he is whatless never do well. Our people need to stop this evil
Amen to tht, I am glad u doin good for another.
She deserve to know the truth
Madam we are live in America and also l do 2 jobs from 5:am to 1:30pm and also from 3pm to 11pm every day.... l know the pains l pass through to make at least a dollar.... you should pls in the name of God Almighty tell the woman that trusted her brother to help her build her house of which the brother is also building his self centered house from his sister sweat.... pls you guys should tell the sister how her brother has been stealing from her.... l remember when l was about to build my own house, it was God Almighty that helped me to finish my own house in a month and 2 weeks, l know what l suffered from the house of omo Oni Ile and also local govt council but still God almighty gave me the grace to finish my house....
I think she should be told
How can she be working tirelessly and one brother is just reaping where he hasn't sown?
After being told, she shouldn't react but withhold sending money for sometime. See what brother will do
Do not trust anybody with your money in Nigeria, people are wicked!
Am a victim, my junior brother bought the land with his own name and was lavishing my hard earned money
Question him.. Your siblings are taking this money for themselves.
Doesn't even make sense may God deliver us from bad siblings I no trust anybody with my money. No brother no sister.
Poverty is the reason!
Nawangha Kubu in my case one is now a lawyer in Atlanta G another spent 9yrs in UK ! So no it was not poverty !! Just dishonesty ! But all 4 are praying 5x daily ! 😡just cheats
@@lindakrubally4658 that's horrible!
Nawangha Kubu sure is especially when to help the one in USA he knew to help him it went on my credit card , he promised to pay back in 2mths and never paid anything , so I struggled to pay Barclay card £2000 + interest
Nawangha Kubu There are people all over the world living in poverty not stealing from family. It’s low character thing at play here.
Please tell the sister. She needs to know about this evil. I heard lots of cases like this.
Why build a house there? Is it by force? To impress who? Are you going to benefit from it or are others benefiting from it. You cannot trust anyone. Oversea your own project. As we speak people are planning to fall into the same trap.
🙌🙌🙌🙌ur just too much! Thanks for ds comment.
You build for rental income.
@ Che ryl.....People have different reasons for doing what they do and we have to respect that. Some are planning to retire back home so they build themselves a retirement home while some build as an investment property to be sold off later in life when they are older with less income and the property has appreciated in value.
Except you are going to stay abroad all your life.
She needs to know about it abeg. It’s so annoying. Let the neighbour tell the sister..
Hi Sis, thanks for all your advise and info. Surprised you speak Yoruba better than me that I am Yoruba 👍
His sister should be told....it's not fair at all...wicked and heartless brother!!
Tell her . Truth is truth.
You should tell the sister instead and let the neighbor stay undercover..
